GIVE THIS COMPANY A CHANCE IF YOU WANT A FAMILY RUN BUSINESS WHO KNOW THEIR FENCING, ARE RELIABLE,…read moreKNOWLEDGEABLE, REASONABLE, AND HONEST. I want to let you all know that my experience with Gary and his team was AWESOME!! We called three fencing companies for estimates for a fence to separate our horses and our children's play area. One company did not show up for the appointment, when I called to ask what happened and rebook, they did not answer the phone nor call me back after I left two messages. Out of the two other companies All-Pro was the more expensive of the two. The reason we went with All-Pro was the knowledge Gary had about fencing for horses. He knew we wanted four board and to face the posts for extra strength and a nicer look. After giving me the written estimate Gary offered to put oak boards on the top rails so the horses couldn't damage the fence by chewing on it at NO EXTRA CHARGE. The earliest the other company could begin the fence was mid January. All-Pro could begin two weeks later! Gary's wife called the day of the appointment, December 8th, it was a very cold day below freezing, to let me know one of their trucks wasn't starting, understandability. We rebooked for the next work day. Again it was an extremely cold day so the guys didn't start until 11am. They got straight to work and did not leave for the day until all the posts were in, by the time they left it was dusk. The guys came back to put the boards and netting up once the concrete was cured. Again they didn't start until it had warmed up a little outside, around ten, however these men were still working all day in cold weather with a freezing wind chill. They stayed passed 6pm (it was dark by the time they left). They did a FANTASTIC job, cleaned up all the mess. At my husbands request they left the wood that was cut offs and extra they hadn't used. I expected to have to take a magnet out and drag for nails and screws that were dropped, however we didn't find any! Gary and his crew were very respectful and friendly. Yes, a little more familiar than some professional companies, however that is the kind of people we look for as they are more often than not more honest and reliable, than the larger companies. I want to say I am sorry the previous reviewers feel they had such a bad experience. I have always believed that there are three sides to every story, theirs, yours and the truth.

A little over a year ago we found a 5 story house in Mount Adams for the purpose of gathering as a family and making memories in the city that is so special to us. Our new home boasted 3 outdoor deck spaces (over a 1000 square feet) of prime outdoor living along with an exterior in desperate need of renovation and some repair from water damage and the unusual weather extremities that had taken their toll on our "diamond in the rough" project. We initially teamed up with a premier decking company in the area to complete a custom deck on our rooftop level who brought Harper Roofing on board because of their excellent work ethic and reputation. John Harper's worth ethic and reputation are refreshingly accompanied by his approachability, enthusiasm and his "it's all good" attitude when things get challenging. Normally, a client would run from a company's "it's all good" response to the "challenging"...but John and his crew showed no fear in taking on the complexities of our 5 story rooftop project. Harper Roofing isn't your average one trick pony in the roofing business. They are awesome in they can complete your whole exterior project: Siding, gutter installation, metal and high end soffit work, windows, doors and decorative composite stone walls. John partnered with our deck company, exhibiting a respect and appreciation for how their areas of expertise complimented our vision as a client. In addition, John provided us with his honesty, integrity and timely estimates that meticulously detailed the work to be accomplished and separated the material and labor costs. John broke our project down into specific stages and provided an accurate timeline for the completion of each stage. This made the duration and cost manageable. I cannot imagine how we could have completed our exterior renovation without John and his "can do" crew. They worked from before dawn to just after dark" to get the project done. John left us with an absolutely beautiful outer exterior and outdoor spaces that knock our socks off. He also grew a friendship in the process!

The owner, Cedric Thomas, is a man without a conscious, lacks remorse even when faced with overwhelming evidence (including video) of his and his company's wrongdoing and feels he's above the law by ignoring judgements. I sued him in small claims court for the return of my 2nd draw payment, $6000 of $16,100 paid to him. He is content with collecting daily interest charges and additional court cost, the amount is now over $7000 and growing. Prior to our court appearance Cedric used intimidation tactics by 1) counter-suing for the balance of his contract (wanting to be paid for work he did not perform) and initiating putting a lien on my house; actually taping a Notice of Furninshing to my front door. His counter-suit was thrown out. I've been told it is rare to have a magistrate take the time and write out in detail why they make a judgement, but mine listed it all. I signed his contract and paid his required 1/3 draw in February 2023. He started the work in April 2023. It is now December 2023 and due to the litany of things his company did wrong I sit with just a hole in the ground instead of collecting rent from a tenant that should be living in the garage apartment that can't be built until I find a company that can correct or find work arounds his mistakes and finish what he started. Wood Fundi Paving is the nightmare contractor that HGTV shows are made of. Run for your life away from this company.

My husband and I had been in contact with Carthage Roofing to replace the front facing mini-mansard roof on our home. Our contact, Rob, asked us to go to Willoughby Supply to pick out the specific siding we wanted. We responded back the week of 11/6 with the exact product we wanted: Single 6-1/3" Perfection Shapes Scallop in Cyrus, Autumn Red, and Colonial White (meant to replicate the color of shingles they were replacing). They agreed to contact us during the week of 11/14 to set something up to get started. On 11/14/22 they arrived between 8-9am unannounced and began to remove the current roof with no call/text/or knock on the door. They removed the remainder of the roof and then Rob left to pick up the material at Willoughby Supply. At that point Rob called my husband and explained that they did not have the material we requested and that we would need to pick something else or wait one to three, or more, months for them to order what we requested. The major issues were 1) they began work without notice 2) they fully removed our roof before making sure they had the correct material to finish the job 3) Rob was an incredibly poor communicator during the entire process. We felt forced to make a decision and get material installed that was not the agreed upon material because our roof had already been removed. Although Rob insisted that he did not force us to make any decision, it was his error in not securing the material that changed our circumstances drastically. Had Rob checked to make sure he had the material to complete the job before beginning, he would have discovered that he did not have what we needed. At that point we would have waited for the material to be ordered and still had our current roof. Instead we were forced to make the decision to change the material or wait one or more months in winter completely without that large section of our roof.
