They are true professionals from start to finish, including the project scoping, budget/estimate process, ease of installation timeframes, quality materials and highly experienced and highly skilled carpenter teams. We recently had a non-standard fence requirement in a historic district of Covington, KY, further complicated by being built atop of old fieldstone and a sewer line, planned and executed seamlessly. The supervisor and lead carpenter Tyler was an excellent communicator, including with his team of two - four members for various parts of the job, a perfectionist with measurements and quality construction techniques and confirming every detail of the specs were agreed upon before proceeding. Not only was the job completed on time, but faster than estimated, leaving literally no garbage or wood scraps even within our garbage containers as we offered; a rarely experienced 100% professional experience that, after many other failed or error-filled projects over the years, literally brought tears to my eyes upon completion. Here are some pictures of my 5 year old fence built by R&M fence out of Walton ky. It was terrible from day one. The subcontractor had zero help for a tough job, took two weeks longer than stated, the company had 2 people work a full day making repairs and cleaning up the mess the subcontractor left behind just to get it to somewhat acceptable. I have contacted them 3 times since, once as recently as 3 days ago, and said they could come out and make it right. The only response i get is we can send a rep to give you a price to fix it. Im sorry I am not paying to fix their mistakes, I messed up when I paid for it back then. Anyway here we are 5 years later gates sagging and falling apart, crooked post not set deep enough. They were able to install it well before the date estimate originally provided and in exactly the number of days specified. Charlene expertly negotiated and coordinated the installation. Tyler, Waldo, Mike, Leo, and the other crew members were professional, efficient, and personable. Tyler checked with us throughout the process, ensuring any last minute modifications were acceptable and what we wanted. R&M was a bit more expensive; however, from the beginning, they listened to what we wanted rather than telling us what they could offer (like the other 2 larger fence companies). R&M Fencing finished my fence today, exactly on time. I am thrilled with the result!! My property survey revealed that the property is larger than I thought, so the length of fencing changed. I also own a giant Oak tree that is exactly on the property line that had to be fenced around, and I changed one of my gates from a 5' gate to an 8' (well, double-4') gate, and while I was at it, I extended the fence line at the back as well. Throughout all of the changes, R&M was understanding, flexible, and overall just GREAT to work with. The guys installing the fence gave me tips on fence maintenance, and left all the scrap wood and post ends (at my request) for me to use on various projects around the house.
