I had been at their old location and love it when I was there. Decided to go again at their new location. This place is way bigger and still very busy. Since it was busy, we waited awhile. My sister and I ordered the dishes. I don't remember which pita appetizer is this. The cheese and jam with pita tasted very good. We got lemon garlic chicken wings and greek heat wings. They were very good. I really like the Greek heat wings. Both wings were very crisp and saucy. I had the meat board last time but we didn't choose this time. The board is very good. The gyro pita sandwich was very good. Comes with fries on the side. The chicken sandwich was very good. Also comes with side of fries. The grilled octopus dinner entree was burned. We asked them to make the dish again. It was not burned second time and can definitely taste the charbroiled. The moussaka was very good and comes with side of salad. Very soft and savory. We had the red sangria pitcher. The sangria was very good and actually fruits inside. I definitely recommend this place and will come back again.
I finally made it here--and boy, was the wait worth it! From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with the warmest welcome. It almost felt like we were walking into a place where everyone already knew us--like family. The atmosphere and design are warm, inviting, and relaxing. From the thoughtfully chosen decorations to the beautiful lighting, every detail creates a wonderful dining experience. I was truly surprised by just how large the restaurant is! The menu has so much to offer, from appetizers, burgers, and salads to some amazing entrées. We started with the Opa! Shrimp, served with a Greek spicy sauce. That first bite was pure satisfaction! The shrimp were large, juicy, and covered in a crispy coating that paired perfectly with the sauce. Next, we ordered the Kataifi Fried Shrimp over cheesy-style Greek grits. Once again, the shrimp were large and beautifully coated in shredded phyllo. Every bite was absolutely delicious and left us wanting more! And of course, you can't end a meal like this without dessert! The Baklava Cheesecake was a must, and we enjoyed it with a cup of freshly brewed coffee. What a perfect way to finish an incredible meal! Chef Nikole, what a wonderful and well-thought-out experience you offer our community! You give so much back through the fundraising efforts and special events you host, and that makes the experience even more meaningful. I can only hope that anyone who has made it to the end of my review gets the opportunity to experience your talents for themselves. Cheers to you, Chef Nikole, and your remarkable staff! 6/7/2026 - My friend recommended we come to Hellenic. She told me this was a new and bigger location and it was a family owned restaurant which we love to support. Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately liked the decor and their openness. The young hostess sat us on a corner by the window (table 24). It's a very small table propped against the window where you have a bunch of the books decor, almost like a small library and behind what looked like a kids playing area. Which I thought it was odd to have at a restaurant, on the floor. We sat for a few minutes, waiting on the server. We realized it was the woman serving, by herself, a table of about 15 elderly people. As well as, about 3 more tables. She finally came over to us, apologized for the wait and we ordered waters and the Beefteki Appetizer to share ($12). It was very good. There's a DJ playing music, the music vibe was Voss for the type of restaurant, felt like we were in downtown Ft. Lauderdale instead of Sunrise area. The majority of the patrons were older and families. After a while our server, Jessica came over and took our entree order. Our server was single handedly taking care of this big table that wanted single checks and not even a manager came to help her or her tables. Meanwhile there is a birthday, DJ stopped the music and the staff started singing happy birthday Cameron. After about 30 minutes, I got up and asked the hostess to check on our food as our server must of forgotten us, didn't even come back to the table to give us an ETA. Finally our food arrives. My Gyro Bowl was cold. My friends Pita Sandwich and salad looked great. There was a table that got seated next to us that we heard them tell the buss boy to go get the server, "I think they forgot us". We're eating and a group came with kids and now behind me are a bunch of kids playing. The parents were at their table and nowhere near their kids. It felt like a "Mommy and Me" event. After we finished our food, again, no server to be found, so my friend got up and asked the hostess for our check and boxes. Server finally came to the table, apologized and gave us the check and boxes. The experience was a mess. No managers helping their servers take care of their patrons. You have a DJ playing music, a song "I wanna sex you up" with kids playing behind us. Food coming out cold. I won't be back. But I hope the owners/ managers do a better job. Maybe they are not ready for a bigger location. They should have been checking on their servers and on the tables.
We had a small party here for my daughter's baby sprinkle. The service was terrific. And the decor there was lovely. We had a few appetizers including dips and the loaded fries and falafel. I had a shrimp pita. We also had sangria. The place was great. Really enjoyed it and will be back.
Hellenic has some great reviews from friends. I decided to dine here. The restaurant is huge with plenty of seating. Plenty of parking in the area. I ordered the lamb burger. It was delicious! Waitstaff very friendly. I like the interior of the restaurant. 2 TVs sit on one wall which display a piece of art when not used, I forget the name of this type of TV. The ladies bathroom is nicely decorated. Every table receives puta bread with 6 different flavors of hummus.
The ambience is warm and inviting, making it the perfect spot for both a relaxed family dinner and a great night out. We loved the live music, which added such a vibrant and upbeat energy to the evening. The portion sizes are incredibly generous--you definitely get your money's worth and leave completely satisfied. A special shoutout for the thoughtful touch of giving a toy duck for the kids to play with; it kept the little ones happily entertained throughout the meal. Fantastic food, wonderful atmosphere, and top-tier hospitality in Coral Springs. We will absolutely be back!
Oh Hellenic, the dinner of my dreams! Came here last night for date night with my husband and close friends. The space is stunning and beautifully curated to feel chic and inviting. We made a reservation for 7:30 and were warmly greeted and sat immediately. The FOOD- WOW. We ordered the Greek Dip, Lamb Burger, Gyro Platter, and Octopus Dinner with a Saganaki starter. The food is so beautifully plated and colorful that your eyes feast before your tastebuds do. The meat on every dish is cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. I admittedly came for the mousakka, but they were sold out. Shoutout to our server, Patty, as she was incredibly attentive and all around lovely! We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Chef Nikol. I love when restaurants make that extra effort to get to know their patrons and genuinely want to hear feedback. She even sent my husband home with chicken and waffles after he explained his stress over not ordering it. After trying a bite this morning, I completely understand why it's one of his favorite dishes! I can't wait to comeback and eat my way through this entire menu. Bravo!
I haven't had the chance to dine here in person yet, but I recently ordered from their meal prep program, and it was some of the best food I've ever had from a meal service. The meals are just $15 each with a minimum order of 10, and pickup is available on Tuesdays and Fridays. I had the Lemon Caper Cod with mashed potatoes, while my husband tried the Gyro Bowl. The gyro meat was incredibly tender, the mashed potatoes were absolutely phenomenal, and the cod had the perfect burst of fresh flavor from the lemon and capers. Everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and restaurant quality. Highly recommend! We'll definitely be bringing the whole family in to dine soon.
A little Greek gem tucked away in the middle of Coral Springs! We stopped into Hellenic for Sunday brunch, my first time. The atmosphere is whimsical, charming, full of personality and the service was warm and friendly. We ordered the Greek-style shrimp and grits (because it's a Greek restaurant!) and it was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We also had an amazing shakshouka. We were initially seated near the children's play area, which is a unique touch for a restaurant. At first it was quiet, but as the restaurant filled, it became a little overwhelming with loud children in the play area and one child running between tables, the parents oblivious to the effect their undisciplined child was having on nearby diners. You know who you are. It started to take away from the enjoyment of our meal, but the staff was wonderful - they quickly accommodated our request to move us farther away, and we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our experience. Adding to the magic was a live DJ playing fabulous music. By the time we finished, the restaurant was buzzing. I'm officially a fan. The combination of delicious food, fun atmosphere, great music, and excellent service has won me over. I'll definitely be back - there's more great food waiting to be explored!
Beautiful inside and out. I have been dying to come and so happy it worked out to finally dine in tonight. Party of two we kept it simple, our waitress Ana made great suggestions for us, tough choice with so many delicious options. I loved the dip sampler, the pesto hummus tasted so fresh. The spicy feta was my favorite I will absolutely be back for more. The tzatziki was very light and perfectly seasoned. For entrees my husband ordered a gyro build your pita with a side of lemon potatoes, we both loved and devoured quickly. For my dish I was obsessed with the kataifi shrimps, so big and juicy. My sangria was the perfect touch to a delightful dinner. Wish I had room for dessert but a great excuse to come back. Chef Nikol continues to make magic anywhere so goes and with every dish she puts out. Great team, atmosphere and food. 10/10 would recommend
We've passed by the old location, but never tried Hellenic before. Looking for something different, I searched them on Yelp and they had great reviews. They have moved to a different location, so we couldn't compare; however, we had nothing but good things to say about their current location. We were seated immediately and were given menus with a large variety of Greek foods to try . My mother tried the Spanakopita and Lemon potatoes. She loved it so much, she kept talking about it. My husband tried the Greek fries and Spicy Wings. I had the Lemon Wings and the Eggplant with Pita bread. Everything was so delicious! The restaurant had an Old World ambience. They are closed on Monday and offer a Breakfast/Brunch menu from 12-5 on Sunday. They open at 12 and close about 10 the other days of the week. So good- we will definitely return!
I wish I took pictures of the food, but unfortunately as soon as everything came out we started to eat. We started with the trio of hummus, the falafels, and the loaded fries with braised lamb. Holy cannoli were they amazing. The lamb on the fries were so tender and the balance it had between the pickled onion and feta cheese was just divine. The hummus was really good, especially the pesto hummus. The falafels had to have been the best I've had likely ever. Those were just the appetizers... We went with our kids and some friends with kids. Kids eat free... which wow because the portions they give were enough for some adults. I ordered the Nutella French toast and my husband ordered the shrimp po boy. Now the Nutella fresh toast looked stunning and it tasted so good. Hella sweet and re thinking it I should have been something I shared but I don't regret it. It has a cream cheese sauce under the Nutella that was such an amazing surprise. Now, the po boy was freaking amazing. I'm grateful my husband was in a sharing mood because those few bites were great. The service was great. We met Chef Nikol and she was honestly so very nice and down to earth. She has a little play area for the kids which keeps them busy and happy. It's all very well thought out and nicely decorated. Cannot wait to come back.
This was my second time at Hellenic, and I'm already looking forward to going back! I stopped in for lunch around noon and had the pita sandwich, which was delicious. My friend and I also shared the baklava cheesecake, and it was out of this world! Hellenic is truly a little Greek gem in Coral Springs. Everything I've had so far has been wonderful, and I'll definitely be returning!

If you come here, prepare to wait and wait a lot. The menu features a disclaimer titled "A Note From the Kitchen" signed by Chef Nikol Zarbalas, stating that they cook everything fresh with "no shortcuts, no rushing the process" and that it's a place to "slow down". There is a fine line between taking time to craft quality food and just moving at a snail's pace, and this kitchen leans heavily into the latter. Watching the open kitchen, the staff moved like paint drying. It took 1 hour and 15 minutes to get our main courses after we finished our appetizers. What makes the delay even more ridiculous is that they have a posted sign limiting dining time to 90-100 minutes during peak hours yet for a simple dinner for two, we were stuck there for over two hours purely because of the kitchen's slowness. To make matters worse, the "no shortcuts" claim on the menu feels completely deceptive. Through the open kitchen, you can literally watch the line cooks pull out bagged store-bought string beans. I ordered the bowl, which listed rice pilaf, tzatziki, pita, lamb and beef, and "vegetables." The Lamb: Instead of properly prepared, tender, or shaved lamb, it was basically a pre-formed patty that looked like a hockey puck sliced into triangles. The "Vegetables": Where were the actual fresh Greek mixed vegetables? The entire "vegetable" portion consisted of tomatoes and those same bagged, microwaved string beans. I didn't pay restaurant prices to be served bagged veggies while waiting over an hour. As for the space, while the overall atmosphere has potential, looking up leaves a lot to be desired. The ceiling features exposed appliances paired with unappealing, unfinished yellow spray foam that you're forced to stare at while waiting forever for your meal. Don't use "artisanal patience" as an excuse for poor kitchen efficiency and pre-packaged ingredients. Can only imagine what the service and wait time would be if the restaurant was actually packed. read more

I had such a beautiful experience at Hellenic! I came in for brunch to celebrate my birthday, and everything was absolutely amazing from start to finish. The food was delicious fresh, flavorful, and perfectly prepared. You can really tell they put care into every dish. The ambiance is just as impressive. the aesthetic is so cute, warm, and inviting, making it the perfect spot for a special occasion or a relaxing brunch. What made this visit even more meaningful is knowing they recently went through a tough situation with an attempted act of vandalism. Seeing them bounce back and continue to create such a welcoming space speaks volumes about their resilience and dedication. I'm so happy to support them and will definitely be coming back. Had the pleasure of Sunday brunch at Hellenic today. We had a reservation for noon and when we pulled up a few minutes before, there was already a line out the door. Finally made it here! Four of us came for dinner, with a reservation. We were sat immediately and within a minute or so our server was by to grab a drink order and welcome us. I really wanted to love Hellenic because the food itself was genuinely delicious, and after reading so many positive reviews, I was excited to become a regular customer. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I purchased a 10-meal meal plan for $160. When I arrived to pick up my order, none of my meals were ready due to technical issues with their system. The owner was very apologetic and kindly offered to have the meals delivered to my home instead, which I appreciated. When the meals arrived, none of them were labeled, so I had to guess which meal was which. There were also no nutritional facts included, despite that being advertised. On top of that, several meals I received were not the ones I ordered, some of the meals I did order were missing entirely, and a few meals were missing proteins or sides that were supposed to be included. I reached out to the owner to let her know what happened. She responded quickly, apologized, and told me she would send me the nutritional information later that day. She also generously offered to comp my meal plan the following week so they could make things right. I honestly wasn't expecting anything for free. I was simply impressed by what seemed like excellent customer service and appreciated the opportunity to give them another chance. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. I never received the nutritional information she promised. I texted her my order for this week's meals as instructed and never received a response. I followed up asking for confirmation because, after driving 25 minutes the previous week only to find my meals weren't ready, I wanted to make sure everything was set before making the trip again. I received no response. Today, I texted again and also called the restaurant multiple times, but every call went straight to voicemail. Because I was expecting my meal plan order, I didn't grocery shop this week. I have a busy work schedule and specifically chose a meal service to save time. Instead, I've been left without meals, without communication, and without any idea whether my order even exists. The food I did receive tasted very good, which honestly makes this experience even more disappointing. Great food can only go so far when there are repeated order inaccuracies, missing items, broken promises, and complete lack of communication. I truly wanted this to work out, but based on my experience, I can't recommend the meal plan service. read more

I hate leaving negative reviews, especially for a Greek restaurant, but I also think honest feedback can be helpful. I visited tonight after seeing several recommendations from friends and online. As my name suggests, I'm Greek, and I'm definitely a foodie, so I was excited to try Hellenic. The restaurant itself is very charming, cozy, and nicely decorated, so my first impression was positive. I'm hoping I simply caught them on an off night. A few things stood out right away. There were small fruit flies near the restroom area and a fly buzzing around the dining room. While a fly can occasionally happen anywhere, it wasn't the best first impression. More concerning was what appeared to be a staff member's child in the kitchen area coughing continuously before eventually leaving. That wasn't something I expected to see around a food preparation area. For the food, I started with the saganaki. This was partly my mistake because I didn't read the menu carefully enough. I assumed it would be the traditional preparation--crispy fried cheese, flamed tableside, finished with lemon. Instead, it was served over sweet preserves. While that's an interesting twist and may appeal to some people, it wasn't what I was expecting. The cheese was only lukewarm and lacked the salty flavor that normally balances sweetness, so the combination just didn't work for me. Next were the Greek fries. The portion was generous, but unfortunately they were extremely soggy, limp, and very greasy. After a few bites, I couldn't finish them. I also ordered the village salad. Again, it wasn't quite the traditional Greek village salad I was expecting, with ingredients like cherry tomatoes and green olives instead of the more classic preparation. Finally, I ordered the Bifteki Bowl for around $20, hoping it would redeem the meal. It consisted mostly of bland rice, soggy sautéed vegetables, and three fairly small pieces of bifteki. The meat itself actually had good flavor, but the overall dish felt underwhelming for the price. I'm not trying to knock the restaurant or discourage people from trying it. If this style of Greek food is what you're looking for, you may have a completely different experience. I'm simply sharing my experience and offering constructive feedback from the perspective of someone who grew up with traditional Greek cuisine. After seeing Hellenic come up over and over again in the Let's Eat South Florida Facebook foodie group, we finally decided to give it a try -- and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We arrived around 12:45 PM and the place was already completely packed. Being in the restaurant business myself, it honestly made me so happy to see a restaurant thriving during off season. That alone already said a lot. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The atmosphere is hard to describe in the best way possible -- it almost feels like an old warehouse filled with eclectic décor and little details everywhere you look, yet somehow it all works perfectly together. The vibe was incredible. Music playing softly in the background, guests relaxed and enjoying themselves... it was genuinely a joy to experience. For starters, we ordered the 3 dip sampler with the sun-dried tomato hummus, pesto hummus, and traditional hummus, along with the falafel. Everything was packed with flavor and the portions were extremely generous. For our entrées, my 9-year-old ordered the chicken and waffles, which were incredibly delicious, and my husband and I both had the lamb chops -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and very well portioned. Friday night buddy and I went to Hellenic in Coral Springs for dinner. The place was packed but we had an 8pm Reservation and they sat us right away. We started out with their Greek heat wings. Nice big juicy fried wings with breading and what tasted like ranch dressing with some other spicing. It is not that hot so if your worried about that your safe. I love pastistio so that's what I was going with. Comes with a nice salad. Loved the flavor in the dish and tasted so good. Bottom had a little crunchiness but didn't affect taste. Buddy went with gyro platter and you won't be hungry and it was like $20. Loved the owner Nicole coming out to mingle with the patrons and making sure everything was ok. I walked into Hellenic today and honestly, I'm not sure I've ever felt more welcomed by a restaurant's vibe. The atmosphere is absolutely phenomenal, it manages to be both upscale and effortlessly cool without trying too hard. I went with the "Build Your Own" Feast featuring the chicken kebab (souvlaki), and let's just say Chef Nikol Zarbalas isn't playing around. I finally tried Hellenic cause I heard great reviews. It's such a cute atmosphere. The restaurant is actually perfect for showers and parties because they have a huge dining area. Each corner has books and places for kids and just something for everyone. Greek cuisine is one of my favorites so I had to try all my staples all the food had really great size portions and were cooked to perfection. I did go before the grand opening phase so they were out of a lot of things on the menu but that didn't get me down. I'm sure in the next couple weeks. Everything will be up to par 100%. read more
Really awesome and cute place. The saganaki (fried cheese) was the best and the other food was tasty. I was a little disappointed in the amount of pickled onions on their gyro pita (like a full onion, I took off almost all of them- why not use normal red onios?), as well as no feta. Also, I do not suggest their pita Greek fries, they were very soggy and not worth the upcharge. The service was great and attentive. They run a clean and welcoming place. Love it all. read more

I was excited to go back to Hellenic since I had been there when they were previously at the walk and had an amazing experience, previously it was a 5/5. I recently went there to the new location with the hopes of having the same quality of food and service but it was a let down if I'm being honest. I went there with my partner and ordered the hummus to start and she got the chicken breast pita w/ lemon potatoes and I got the gyro pita w/ house fries. I originally wanted their lamb burger but they had ran out of lamb which was unfortunate but I understand, it was late in the evening. I had asked our server if the gyro combo had shaved meat and they said yes but it did not in fact come with shaved meat as you can see on the picture. The pita used for our pita was a bit tough, I'm not expecting it to be perfect or amazing but it was far from good. The fries were crispy but it was an odd texture, it's hard to describe but it was let down as well. My partner said their lemon potatoes were much better before and that it previously had more flavor. The hummus was okay as well. We really liked the flavor of the protein and their Hellenic sauce, that's probably what saved our meals. The servers were nice but you could tell they did not know much about the menu and the food took a while to come out. Chef Nikol and Staff are the Best in the business! The food is delicious and the service is top notch. Pati our server was excellent. The menu is full of Greek classics, we ordered the Octopus and Greek Salad for appetizers and went with the Chefs Board for 5 people as the main, washed it down with two pitchers of Sangria. Hellenic. Ordered too much food. Again. Swipe the empanada photo and tell me that's not a problem. Chef Nikol sent out the braised beef empanadas -- hard fried, deeply blistered shell, absolutely packed with slow-braised beef. Not skimpy. Not "air and sauce." Meat. And that spicy remoulade has enough kick to keep it interesting. Cut them into quarters and share. If you don't, dinner is over before it begins. The "Opa!" Shrimp is their Bang Bang answer -- but these are full-sized shrimp. Eight of them. Properly sauced, balanced heat and creaminess, plated over greens so it doesn't feel like bar food. This is a 3-4 person starter unless you're skipping entrees. Pastitsio was excellent -- rich béchamel cap, properly structured layers, seasoned meat filling. Very solid. But I'm still loyal to her moussaka, which remains one of the better versions I've had locally. If you hate eggplant or want pasta over potato, order this confidently. Rachel's bifteki burger topped with braised lamb is just unfair. It's stacked, it's sauced, it's massive. Add in the sautéed vegetables and this is not a "light" plate. Look at that Greek salad. Feta blocks, olives, proper crunch. We had so much food I packed all of it for Rachel's lunch tomorrow. And then there was the meat board. Someone at the table next to us ordered it and I had to take a photo because it was borderline architectural. Skewers of chicken, what looked like braised lamb piled on top, falafel, grilled vegetables, feta blocks, olives, tzatziki -- it's less a platter and more a declaration. If you're feeding 3-4 people and want to try everything, this is the move. Obscene. In the best way. Portions here are real. If you tell me you left hungry, I'm not buying it. The bar build-out looks great -- clean lines, warm lighting, Santorini screens running on the wall. Nikol has cocktail and bar bite plans coming in a few weeks. That space is going to hum. Pro tip: Come with friends. And pace yourself. read more
