Oh Hellenic, the dinner of my dreams! Came here last night for date night with my husband and close friends. The space is stunning and beautifully curated to feel chic and inviting. We made a reservation for 7:30 and were warmly greeted and sat immediately. The FOOD- WOW. We ordered the Greek Dip, Lamb Burger, Gyro Platter, and Octopus Dinner with a Saganaki starter. The food is so beautifully plated and colorful that your eyes feast before your tastebuds do. The meat on every dish is cooked to perfection and melts in your mouth. I admittedly came for the mousakka, but they were sold out. Shoutout to our server, Patty, as she was incredibly attentive and all around lovely! We also had the pleasure of meeting and chatting with Chef Nikol. I love when restaurants make that extra effort to get to know their patrons and genuinely want to hear feedback. She even sent my husband home with chicken and waffles after he explained his stress over not ordering it. I really wanted to love Hellenic because the food itself was genuinely delicious, and after reading so many positive reviews, I was excited to become a regular customer. Unfortunately, my experience was incredibly disappointing. I purchased a 10-meal meal plan for $160. When I arrived to pick up my order, none of my meals were ready due to technical issues with their system. The owner was very apologetic and kindly offered to have the meals delivered to my home instead, which I appreciated. When the meals arrived, none of them were labeled, so I had to guess which meal was which. There were also no nutritional facts included, despite that being advertised. On top of that, several meals I received were not the ones I ordered, some of the meals I did order were missing entirely, and a few meals were missing proteins or sides that were supposed to be included. I reached out to the owner to let her know what happened. She responded quickly, apologized, and told me she would send me the nutritional information later that day. She also generously offered to comp my meal plan the following week so they could make things right. I honestly wasn't expecting anything for free. I was simply impressed by what seemed like excellent customer service and appreciated the opportunity to give them another chance. Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. I never received the nutritional information she promised. I texted her my order for this week's meals as instructed and never received a response. I followed up asking for confirmation because, after driving 25 minutes the previous week only to find my meals weren't ready, I wanted to make sure everything was set before making the trip again. I received no response. Today, I texted again and also called the restaurant multiple times, but every call went straight to voicemail. Because I was expecting my meal plan order, I didn't grocery shop this week. I have a busy work schedule and specifically chose a meal service to save time. Instead, I've been left without meals, without communication, and without any idea whether my order even exists. The food I did receive tasted very good, which honestly makes this experience even more disappointing. Great food can only go so far when there are repeated order inaccuracies, missing items, broken promises, and complete lack of communication. I truly wanted this to work out, but based on my experience, I can't recommend the meal plan service. read more

A little Greek gem tucked away in the middle of Coral Springs! We stopped into Hellenic for Sunday brunch, my first time. The atmosphere is whimsical, charming, full of personality and the service was warm and friendly. We ordered the Greek-style shrimp and grits (because it's a Greek restaurant!) and it was absolutely delicious, beautifully prepared, and full of flavor. We also had an amazing shakshouka. We were initially seated near the children's play area, which is a unique touch for a restaurant. At first it was quiet, but as the restaurant filled, it became a little overwhelming with loud children in the play area and one child running between tables, the parents oblivious to the effect their undisciplined child was having on nearby diners. You know who you are. It started to take away from the enjoyment of our meal, but the staff was wonderful - they quickly accommodated our request to move us farther away, and we were able to relax and enjoy the rest of our experience. Adding to the magic was a live DJ playing fabulous music. By the time we finished, the restaurant was buzzing. I'm officially a fan. The combination of delicious food, fun atmosphere, great music, and excellent service has won me over. I'll definitely be back - there's more great food waiting to be explored! read more

6/7/2026 - My friend recommended we come to Hellenic. She told me this was a new and bigger location and it was a family owned restaurant which we love to support. Upon entering the restaurant, I immediately liked the decor and their openness. The young hostess sat us on a corner by the window (table 24). It's a very small table propped against the window where you have a bunch of the books decor, almost like a small library and behind what looked like a kids playing area. Which I thought it was odd to have at a restaurant, on the floor. We sat for a few minutes, waiting on the server. We realized it was the woman serving, by herself, a table of about 15 elderly people. As well as, about 3 more tables. She finally came over to us, apologized for the wait and we ordered waters and the Beefteki Appetizer to share ($12). It was very good. There's a DJ playing music, the music vibe was Voss for the type of restaurant, felt like we were in downtown Ft. Lauderdale instead of Sunrise area. The majority of the patrons were older and families. After a while our server, Jessica came over and took our entree order. Our server was single handedly taking care of this big table that wanted single checks and not even a manager came to help her or her tables. Meanwhile there is a birthday, DJ stopped the music and the staff started singing happy birthday Cameron. After about 30 minutes, I got up and asked the hostess to check on our food as our server must of forgotten us, didn't even come back to the table to give us an ETA. Finally our food arrives. My Gyro Bowl was cold. My friends Pita Sandwich and salad looked great. There was a table that got seated next to us that we heard them tell the buss boy to go get the server, "I think they forgot us". We're eating and a group came with kids and now behind me are a bunch of kids playing. The parents were at their table and nowhere near their kids. It felt like a "Mommy and Me" event. After we finished our food, again, no server to be found, so my friend got up and asked the hostess for our check and boxes. Server finally came to the table, apologized and gave us the check and boxes. The experience was a mess. No managers helping their servers take care of their patrons. You have a DJ playing music, a song "I wanna sex you up" with kids playing behind us. Food coming out cold. I won't be back. But I hope the owners/ managers do a better job. I haven't had the chance to dine here in person yet, but I recently ordered from their meal prep program, and it was some of the best food I've ever had from a meal service. The meals are just $15 each with a minimum order of 10, and pickup is available on Tuesdays and Fridays. I had the Lemon Caper Cod with mashed potatoes, while my husband tried the Gyro Bowl. The gyro meat was incredibly tender, the mashed potatoes were absolutely phenomenal, and the cod had the perfect burst of fresh flavor from the lemon and capers. Party of two we kept it simple, our waitress Ana made great suggestions for us, tough choice with so many delicious options. I loved the dip sampler, the pesto hummus tasted so fresh. The spicy feta was my favorite I will absolutely be back for more. The tzatziki was very light and perfectly seasoned. For entrees my husband ordered a gyro build your pita with a side of lemon potatoes, we both loved and devoured quickly. For my dish I was obsessed with the kataifi shrimps, so big and juicy. Finally made it here! Four of us came for dinner, with a reservation. We were sat immediately and within a minute or so our server was by to grab a drink order and welcome us. After seeing Hellenic come up over and over again in the Let's Eat South Florida Facebook foodie group, we finally decided to give it a try -- and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We arrived around 12:45 PM and the place was already completely packed. Being in the restaurant business myself, it honestly made me so happy to see a restaurant thriving during off season. That alone already said a lot. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted warmly and seated promptly. The atmosphere is hard to describe in the best way possible -- it almost feels like an old warehouse filled with eclectic décor and little details everywhere you look, yet somehow it all works perfectly together. The vibe was incredible. Music playing softly in the background, guests relaxed and enjoying themselves... it was genuinely a joy to experience. For starters, we ordered the 3 dip sampler with the sun-dried tomato hummus, pesto hummus, and traditional hummus, along with the falafel. Everything was packed with flavor and the portions were extremely generous. For our entrées, my 9-year-old ordered the chicken and waffles, which were incredibly delicious, and my husband and I both had the lamb chops -- perfectly cooked, flavorful, and very well portioned. We frequented the other location and were disappointed when it closed. We wanted to try the new and improved Hellenic. I made reservations, we arrived a little early but were quickly accommodated. Unlike the other venue this one is very spacious and comfortable with a wide open concept and open kitchen. Service was very good and quick. Our drink and appetizers order were taken and arrived fairly quickly. At that time we ordered our main course. The Hummus was excellent just garlicky enough with warm pita bread. Wanted to try the fried calamari but my wife has a severe seafood allergy and FYI they do not have a separate frier to accommodate allergies, which is a shame. I ordered the seafood Orzotto, their version of a risotto but with orzo very good and with a generous amount of clams, mussels, shrimp and small scallops. My wife ordered the Pastitsio accompanied with grilled vegetables. For dessert we had a slice of chocolate and caramel cheesecake. Had the pleasure of Sunday brunch at Hellenic today. We had a reservation for noon and when we pulled up a few minutes before, there was already a line out the door. Although they are still in the "soft opening" you would not know it. Everything was top-notch. From the minute we were greeted and seated and throughout our meal, everything was perfect. Chrissy, our server was a doll, and I recognized a few other staff members from other restaurants in the area. The restaurant is very pretty inside. Open, spacious and light. Friday night buddy and I went to Hellenic in Coral Springs for dinner. The place was packed but we had an 8pm Reservation and they sat us right away. We started out with their Greek heat wings. Nice big juicy fried wings with breading and what tasted like ranch dressing with some other spicing. It is not that hot so if your worried about that your safe. I love pastistio so that's what I was going with. Comes with a nice salad. Loved the flavor in the dish and tasted so good. Bottom had a little crunchiness but didn't affect taste. Buddy went with gyro platter and you won't be hungry and it was like $20. Loved the owner Nicole coming out to mingle with the patrons and making sure everything was ok. I know there are gonna be people who love or hate the atmosphere. Yes it is loud inside so that may not be your cup of tea. I visited for the first time on Tuesday, April 21, 2026, after a strong recommendation from a good friend. To start, I was a bit confused about where to enter. I parked on the side and went in through a side door instead of the main entrance--adding a sign directing guests to the front would be helpful. A few tips for future diners: bring a light sweater or jacket because the A/C is on fully blast, very chilly,l. Oh, do not come in a rush--the restaurant has a relaxed, easygoing pace. As for the food, everything was excellent. The lemon soup is very thick--honestly more like a meal than a starter. For my entrée, I had the fish of the day (Red Snapper) served with vegetables, rice, and potatoes, and it was delicious. I also enjoyed a red sangria and finished with cheesecake--again, all fantastic. No issues with the quality of the food at all. My only concern is with service logistics. Maggie did a wonderful job, but she was covering a large and spread-out area (restroom side, center, and window tables), which seemed inefficient. It might be more productive to assign servers to more compact, grouped sections. I also noticed the busser was clearing and occasionally serving some tables but not others--there may be an opportunity to better utilize that role. Additionally, having the manager assist with drinks could help free up servers, and the hostess, along with the busser, could support the waitstaff beyond just handling flatware. I finally tried Hellenic cause I heard great reviews. It's such a cute atmosphere. The restaurant is actually perfect for showers and parties because they have a huge dining area. Each corner has books and places for kids and just something for everyone. Greek cuisine is one of my favorites so I had to try all my staples all the food had really great size portions and were cooked to perfection. I did go before the grand opening phase so they were out of a lot of things on the menu but that didn't get me down. I'm sure in the next couple weeks. Everything will be up to par 100%. read more

Wow! We are incredibly fortunate to have Chef Nikol Zarbalas' new restaurant, Hellenic, in South Florida. The atmosphere is welcoming and the layout is spacious and inviting, with each wall offering a different vibe: family photos, hand-crafted glassware, and even a library--yes, you may borrow--of books. The real star of this place, however, is the phenomenal food. Many choices reflect the Chef's Greek background, including the horiatiki salad, avgolemono, moussaka, and souvlaki, and everything is reasonably priced. Portions are huge, and the flavors are perfectly balanced and delicious. We went for lunch and had the Greek salads with chicken souvlaki and a side order of grilled vegetables, and we each tried a different dressing. My favorite was the citrus vinaigrette, and my friend loved the balsamic. In addition to the above, the salads came with a side of pita bread and tzatziki--heavenly! And, Patricia, our server was extremely attentive and accommodating, and the Chef-owner stopped by to make sure that all was well. Next time, I think we'll try one of the beautiful meze boards or the grilled lemon-garlic chicken wings. This place was absolutely packed when we went for lunch. With as many people that were there I was expecting amazing service. Our waitress forgot to take orders from some of the people in my party. The food took an hour to get. We ordered calamari as an appetizer and it wasn't going to come out until after the food started being served. A table came in after us was served and finished their food before we even got our food. If it wasn't for the fact the food was so good I would have rated it one star. I was excited to go back to Hellenic since I had been there when they were previously at the walk and had an amazing experience, previously it was a 5/5. I recently went there to the new location with the hopes of having the same quality of food and service but it was a let down if I'm being honest. I went there with my partner and ordered the hummus to start and she got the chicken breast pita w/ lemon potatoes and I got the gyro pita w/ house fries. I originally wanted their lamb burger but they had ran out of lamb which was unfortunate but I understand, it was late in the evening. I had asked our server if the gyro combo had shaved meat and they said yes but it did not in fact come with shaved meat as you can see on the picture. The pita used for our pita was a bit tough, I'm not expecting it to be perfect or amazing but it was far from good. The fries were crispy but it was an odd texture, it's hard to describe but it was let down as well. My partner said their lemon potatoes were much better before and that it previously had more flavor. The hummus was okay as well. We really liked the flavor of the protein and their Hellenic sauce, that's probably what saved our meals. The servers were nice but you could tell they did not know much about the menu and the food took a while to come out. Hellenic. Ordered too much food. Again. Swipe the empanada photo and tell me that's not a problem. Chef Nikol sent out the braised beef empanadas -- hard fried, deeply blistered shell, absolutely packed with slow-braised beef. Not skimpy. Not "air and sauce." Meat. And that spicy remoulade has enough kick to keep it interesting. Cut them into quarters and share. If you don't, dinner is over before it begins. The "Opa!" Shrimp is their Bang Bang answer -- but these are full-sized shrimp. Eight of them. Properly sauced, balanced heat and creaminess, plated over greens so it doesn't feel like bar food. This is a 3-4 person starter unless you're skipping entrees. Pastitsio was excellent -- rich béchamel cap, properly structured layers, seasoned meat filling. Very solid. But I'm still loyal to her moussaka, which remains one of the better versions I've had locally. If you hate eggplant or want pasta over potato, order this confidently. Rachel's bifteki burger topped with braised lamb is just unfair. It's stacked, it's sauced, it's massive. Add in the sautéed vegetables and this is not a "light" plate. Look at that Greek salad. Feta blocks, olives, proper crunch. We had so much food I packed all of it for Rachel's lunch tomorrow. And then there was the meat board. Someone at the table next to us ordered it and I had to take a photo because it was borderline architectural. Skewers of chicken, what looked like braised lamb piled on top, falafel, grilled vegetables, feta blocks, olives, tzatziki -- it's less a platter and more a declaration. If you're feeding 3-4 people and want to try everything, this is the move. Obscene. In the best way. Portions here are real. If you tell me you left hungry, I'm not buying it. The bar build-out looks great -- clean lines, warm lighting, Santorini screens running on the wall. Nikol has cocktail and bar bite plans coming in a few weeks. That space is going to hum. Three stars for now -- and I say that as someone who genuinely wants Hellenic Republic's "reimagined" concept Hellenic, to succeed, because the bones are absolutely there. Let's start with the good: the food quality and flavor are largely the same as before, and still delicious. Portions are still big and filling, which I appreciate. We ordered the mezze board and the meat board, and overall the spreads hit the spot. (Worth noting: our beef tekki came out a bit undercooked.) Service-wise, our waitress Jessica was great -- attentive, professional, and genuinely apologetic when things went sideways. She handled the situation well, and none of this felt like it was her fault. That said... this place is clearly still working out some major opening kinks, and it showed in multiple ways. First, optics and basic standards: the hostess was eating with her hands in the middle of the restaurant and wandering around. Break or not, staff shouldn't be eating in public areas. It raises health concerns and just looks unprofessional. Second, training and menu knowledge: this isn't the first time I've seen confusion here. The same host when I ordered pickup a few weeks ago didn't seem to know the menu or what items were supposed to come with -- which tells me training either isn't happening, or it's not being taken seriously. Now the bigger issue: communication between the kitchen/management and the floor. * The meat board was supposed to come with lamb, chicken souvlaki, beef tekki, and loukaniko sausage. It was missing the beef tekki, and they substituted lamb gyro meat -- but didn't tell us, and Jessica wasn't informed either. * The mezze board was supposed to include dolmas, and they weren't on it. We also ordered an extra order of dolmas that never arrived. When we asked, Jessica checked and came back to tell us they didn't have dolmas because the kitchen was still preparing them for the day... at around 1pm lunch. Yeah this is a really nice restaurant with a welcoming ambiance and friendly servers. It is very family and community centered with little play areas in the corners and comfy chairs where you can sit and have a drink or a nosh. They also have books around the restaurant so it is almost like a little library. The food was pretty okay. I have had better greek food in the area, but I know they just opened so hopefully the feta fries get less soggy and the mousaka has more flavor. Let me start off by saying it's probably better if you make a reservation, the place was literally packed. When we first walked in, we were greeted by the amazing children who work there. They were awesome and help getting us situated. We were seated immediately. The vibe was just relaxing. I started the evening with two glasses of sangria, one white and one red both equally delicious. Then we moved onto the soup. Which honestly is the best deal ever two of us shared one bowl it was amazing. I might go back, especially just for the soup. We then had chicken and waffles as well as the meat plate we ordered a Gyro to go. Everything was amazing. The lamb was out of this world. I don't even like lamb normally and I can't explain it, but I'll go back and figure out how to get a plate of just that tender and delicious. It was a perfect date night. We were not rushed. We got to sit and talk. Listen to music and relax. It reminds me it almost of like being on a cruise ship at dinner time where you actually get to enjoy your dinner and talk with your partner where the world just slows down for even 10 minutes. Finally came to Hellenic and I'm glad we did ,from the server Krissy being spot on and I can kinda be snot when it comes to service ,she never let our drinks go empty, was very helpful with my wife's meal due to her dietary restrictions because of cancer ,always checking up on us ,and not only us ,I seen how she was with the other tables also ,and the show for us was the Greek Quesdilla for lunch and the fried calamari cooked to perfection and seasoned to perfection, definitely coming back for dinner read more

I want to share this respectfully because it has been genuinely upsetting for me and my family. As a Christian, I was disappointed to discover after dining here several times that the restaurant serves halal meat without clearly disclosing that information to customers. I respect that others have different religious beliefs and dietary practices, and I support everyone's right to make choices according to their convictions. However, finding this out after the fact created a real spiritual conflict for me. Had I known beforehand, I would have made a different decision based on my own faith and conscience. The disappointment wasn't simply about the food itself, but about not being given the opportunity to make an informed choice that aligned with my beliefs and convictions. We have genuinely enjoyed many of the menu items and the experience this restaurant provides, which is why this has been so difficult. We would sincerely appreciate having non-halal options available for the same menu items we have come to enjoy, along with clear disclosure about which items are halal and which are not. Lousy service - either waitress didn't put order in correctly or kitchen messed up. ordered 2 appetizers- hummus which was not good and does not represent middle eastern hummus as it was very lumpy and not tasty. Falafel was ok but they brought out entrees out and forgot about the appetizers. when we said something they took away our entrees only to reheat them and bring them back after we had the appetizers . Wow just Wow, is all I can say about this evenings meal at Hellenic. We have been wanting to visit for a while now and decided on tonight for our anniversary. From the moment we were greeted at the door by 2 lovely young ladies who wished us Happy Anniversary we just knew we had made the right choice for dinner! Our server Pati was absolutely wonderful and anticipated our every need. The restaurant was quite busy,but everything came out of the kitchen piping hot and perfectly paced. We enjoyed it so much.
