This food is absolutely incredible. The restaurant itself has such warm and welcoming vibes. The furniture and decor are a gorgeous mix of vintage, antique, and modern. The staff make you feel like family. And the food... well, you just have to taste it for yourself. Both of their wings are incredible (creamy Lemon and sweet heat), and I especially love the lamb "quesadillas." Bonus: super kid-friendly with a play area for children. St 1:00pm we still sat waiting until we just asked for the check for our one cup of coffee that we received. What a great experience! Food is made with love and you can taste it and see it! Staff is welcoming. Our excellent server was Angelica. The open kitchen is fun to watch! Tonight is the first real night that Chef Nikol has opened the restaurant. I had the octopus dinner. A large portion with potatoes, tomatoes and greens in a delicious caper and olive sauce. First time eating here, won't be the last! Beautiful space--open and airy and filled with books on each wall. The staff was very courteous and our server hooked us up and kept an eye on us. The food was delicious and portions were huge! Apps were average size but we still had some left (3 of us). We ordered the hummus, lemon garlic wings, Greek salad (one regular and one quinoa) and the vegan board. Everything was wonderful. Highly recommend the lemon garlic wings with sauce on the side. I was blown away by my vegan platter--there was a whole Greek salad underneath! I came home with 2 boxes of leftovers and can't wait to eat them. Definitely check this place out. Great for business, casual, family meals, parties, etc. We went on Friday for lunch and it was not too noisy. Not sure how loud it would be in the evenings. Our visit ended within minutes because the staff was unexpectedly rude from the moment we arrived. Before we were even served a glass of water, the interaction became uncomfortable, and one of the staff members, who appeared to be the manager, stated, "If you want to leave, you can leave." The tone felt dismissive and accusatory, which made it difficult to stay. This was a very short visit, yet the experience left a poor impression. I believe ownership should seriously review how staff are trained to communicate with customers, especially during basic first interactions. Professionalism and respectful service at the front of the restaurant matter greatly, and unfortunately this visit did not reflect that. read more

This was our first time at the new location. We were seated right away on a Friday night which was awesome. The restaurant vibe was very comfortable and inviting. For an appetizer, we ordered the basil pesto hummus which was very very good. My husband got the smothered Greek Chicken. He liked it, but I guess he doesn't understand the word 'smothered'. He did like the flavor of the sauce, but next time he will definitely get the sauce on the side. I ordered the Greek chicken which was nicely cooked. I was excited to try the lemon potatoes, but they lacked flavor for me. (They almost tasted like just a boiled potato.) lThe Greek salad had a nice amount of feta, but I'm picky about tomatoes. I prefer hand picked sliced tomatoes , but they used a cherry tomato. The dressing was a little too sweet, too. Overall the food was good. Service was excellent. Not my number one Greek restaurant in South Florida, but we will be back for sure because of the location and the fact that we love Greek food. read more

I was genuinely excited to visit this restaurant. I had their food at a party recently and it was incredible, so good that I had been thinking about coming in for over a week. Before heading over, I checked the website and confirmed the hours were listed as 12-4pm. I arrived around 2:40pm, expecting to be welcomed. Instead, the moment I walked in, that excitement was completely crushed. A staff member looked at me with clear disgust and immediately said, "We're closed." I was shocked, especially since I had just confirmed the hours. Another staff member then came over, asked how she could help, and when I asked if they were closed, said the kitchen was backed up. A third employee nodded along, physically guided us toward the door, and locked it immediately behind us. I've worked in hospitality for years. I understand kitchens get overwhelmed and that seating sometimes needs to stop early. What I don't understand is being treated with such coldness and disrespect. There was no apology, no explanation upfront, and absolutely no effort to make us feel like valued customers. The looks, the tone, and the act of locking the door right after we walked out made it painfully clear that we were not welcome. I truly cannot put into words how horrible that experience felt. Being turned away is one thing, but being made to feel like you don't belong is another. It was upsetting, uncomfortable, and deeply disappointing, especially given how much I had been looking forward to coming in based on how good the food was. read more

We have wanted to try this place. They have a dish called Skepasti, which is (essentially) a Greek Quesadilla. I am a quesadilla freak. We tried once before to order from HR and they had stopped taking orders. We had heard good things about HR, but after the DDD episode, we had to try it, but waited patiently for the crowds to subside, after all, we live here. SO we ordered a Chicken Souvlaki, Marinated Chicken bowl an appetizer of Falafel and I got my Skepasti with Greek fries. We expected a lot, while I wasn't BLOWN AWAY, it's the buildup in my mind over the reality. And reality...... is good. I tried my wife's Chicken, veggies, rice, all were delicious. I liked the char on the chicken. The Falafel didn't disappoint, in fact, it was really good. The Skepasti was good...... I had delusions of grandeur, but on further examination, it was solidly good. I am used to my gyro meat thinner and a little better done, I'd ask for that if possible, but that aside it was good and I would go back. One more thing...... GREEK FRIES, that was an easy decision to upgrade for $1, and i just wished they'd add some of the sauce on the Skepasti, to dip my Greek fries in. We went last night with my husband and kids. I got the bowl which was absolutely delicious and my kid's devoured the chicken tenders and sauce. My husband ordered a sandwich with no grilled onions however when it came out , it had the onions, so he sent it back and kindly asked to have it taken off the bill. The waitress was extremely apologetic and explained how they are training in the kitchen and she came and brought him a bowl of chicken and rice soup. Then they even remade his sandwich to take home. He insisted it wasn't necessary, but they were overly kind in trying to give him a meal as well. The staff here is amazing and the food was delicious. Wow what can I say except it was amazing! After two previous attempts to get in here early on after opening and giving up we gave it one more try and made a reservation for 7PM. We walked in and were greeted at the front and sat down with a smile. Our waitress came within one minute and I can't say enough about this young lady. Her name was Angelica and she was so friendly, professional and on her A-game. She was hustling quite a few tables as it was pretty packed and still came back with a smile every time. We started with the Falafel Appetizer which is just delicious! I could have made a meal out of that fresh Tzatziki it was so good! Then we shared a bowl of soup I don't remember the name But it had orzo and shredded chicken and was simply delicious and the portion was shareable too! We then shared the Moussaka which was cooked perfectly and yummy! Unfortunately we did not come hungry enough not knowing what to expect but next time we will be prepared so we can enjoy more dishes. It has adorable corners decorated so cute with antiques and very cozy. Prices are super reasonable too! After shopping around Coral Square, the family was famished. Looking to spice things up, we decided to give pay respects back to the Hellenic Republic in Coral Springs! Going in, there wasn't much of a wait; but the restaurant filled up fast. Tonight, we ordered 1x horitaki salad (original style Greek salad with cucumbers, tomatoes, peppers, red onions, feta cheese, and Vinaigrette) and 1x meat platter (chicken soulvaki, beefteki, loukaniko, fries, veggies, taziki, olives, grilled pita). Moving on with tonight's review; the food once again was superb! The salad possessed fresh vegetables and nice balanced vinaigrette dressing! The meat platter was exceptional! First off, it came at a great value, costing only $27. Moreover, the dish possessed a nice contrast of spices and flavors! All the meats were juicy and cooked to perfection, too. Overall, I'm glad to say that Hellenic Republic still got the magic touch when it comes to Greek cusuine. My final verdict, still remains a 5/5! read more

Let's start out with the good. The decor was nice and homey. Wasn't too loud and music lightly playing in the background. Unfortunately, that was all we were able to experience as our main courses never arrived after waiting over an hour. We had a tiny bowl of tzaziki which was ok. Our server was pleasant but completely unattentive. In the hour, she came over once to say it will be "right out" then went back to chatting with the kitchen staff. They were all hanging out like it's a social setting and they aren't supposed to be working. Customers were not the priority. When we finally lost patience after an hour and said to cancel our orders and we are leaving, one of our 3 dishes miraculously appeared. The server said the remaining dishes were "on their way soon" expecting one person to eat while the others waited. That was unacceptable. Before we even stand up, the server came over to collect for the appetizer. No manager to apologize, no attempt to make things right. Just a have a half-hearted "have good evening" from the hostess. Use to go to Hellenic on University great experience. Went 1/23 to new location on Atlantic Blvd. D - experience. We waited extremely long time for order to arrive, either the a/c was broken or the air is not sufficient to cool the large area, both front door and back door open. Many employees standing around not doing anything. Food finally arrived fish chewy, lamb very salty. I wish them well. I'll give them 6 months and try again but I think they over expanded and hope they get it fi xed. read more

First of all this place is such a hidden gem. A friend referred us and we stopped in for lunch. Initially, when we first walked in the door, I didn't think much of the place. Saw Hellenic Republic on Triple D and didn't know how close it was to me to try out. There is no interior seating and with limited outside seating, be prepared to wait till a table open or might just be lucky like we were. Do not sit yourself either as there are many signs stating to check in for a table. There is live music that can get a little loud when it comes to ordering but it is nice to listen to well you wait for your orders. Our table started off with an order of Tirokafteri Dip w/ Pita and Greek Fries. The dip wasn't overly spicy and had a good combination of feta that complemented the spicy. The Greek Fries were tossed a seasoned oil and topped with big chucks of feta. The overall flavors in each bite made these fries addicting. The Loukaniko Bowl w/ Sautéed Vegetable was tasty with every bite. The House Gyro Pita is my mom's favorite but always order a side of tzatziki sauce to add in more flavors. When the Chicken and Waffle plate arrived to the table, it was huge and I already knew I was packaging most of it to-go. The chicken tenders were well breaded and moist in the middle. The waffles with the powers sugar tasted homemade. The spicy syrup on the side does have a kick to it, so I do recommend testing it before pouring it all over everything. Besides the service being a little slow and the drinks we order not coming to our table until minutes before our main entrees were severed, we will definitely be back for the delicious food. read more

The location is large and open, with tables that can accommodate groups of all sizes comfortably. I purchased a bowl that included chicken souvlaki, rice, and vegetables. The chicken was seasoned perfectly, and tender and the portion size was excellent. If you haven't yet been able to visit Hellenic - add it to top of your list. Omg. This place blew our socks off. The guy who helped us was outstanding. Wish I got his name but sadly I didn't hear it. We have been looking greek food for a long time in PSLamd have tried everything that was around and just was let down.
