I was invited by my nephews to join them and their friends for a paintball outing at Futureball. We…read morehad gotten a special rate for the day courtesy of the owners and it was a great time! The park has it's own store off premises about a 1/4 mile away right on M-36/9 mile...I haven't been there but I have played at Futureball many many times before when I was quicker on my feet and more limber. The park hasn't changed too much except for maybe the field names. We played 3 duplicate rounds on 3 fields. First the Lego field which has barriers set up everywhere including plastic structures, spindles and drainage tubes for cover. The next field was the Urban attack and defend and lastly Hamburger Hill. It was a blast. The Hill and Urban are by far my favorites courses. The referees were great and the equipment counter staffers were helpful too. The park has three pavilions with picnic tables set up and they have some water jugs set up to wash masks, hands, drinking, etc. I've played a few parks and this is one of the better I've been to. It's definitely worth checking out for a round and if you haven't been before it would be a great idea for a bachelor party or a day out with the guys. FYI if you rent equipment get the upgraded gun package and the paint pod belts. Rentals are fairly cheap and their paint is fairly priced. Another note, if you're playing in the summer make sure you bring plenty of bug spray! A lot of the courses are surrounded by swamp and being eaten alive under fire is a huge drag.

They tried to keep me happy by giving me there field ammo, which was garbage and 3 free passes . The field was pretty good, but there refs need to watch the game better. I seen alot of cheating andbthe refs were informed and did nothing. The owner of the field allowed people to talk and not pay attention to the safety brief which showed me that the brief was just a legal requirement, and he didnt care if people were listening or not. Over all experience was about a 3 out of 10. Dont plan on ever going back.

We played on at least 5 different courses and we even got to play two games against the other (former army) group that was there. The castle was one of my favorite courses! This was also my first time paintballing so I don't have much to compare it to, but I thought it was amazing. The people working at Excalibur are nice, chill, and funny. They provide you with the gun, mask/goggles, and paintballs. You play within your group and can switch up the teams as you see fit. There's a referee for each game and they give you tips and encouragement. You mainly play death-match style, whichever team has the last man standing wins. Once you're shot (and the paint actually splatters and doesn't bounce off) you're out of the game and have to stand in the specified dead zone until it's over. After every 2-3 games you return to the basecamp to refill your gun with air/paintballs, get a drink of water, and catch your breath. Maybe they could add some FAQs on their website for suggestions on what to bring/wear. Make sure to bring gloves and wear lots of layers (long sleeve, short sleeve, sweatshirt), something with a hood or a bandana to cover your neck. You don't want any of your skin showing. Hiking boots or cleats work well. Camo/hunting apparel is a plus.

I was a little nervous going into this, considering everyone told me to layer my clothing because it would feel like getting shot at by a bb gun... but I wore loose jeans and a long sleeve tee, and I had awesome fun and I survived! I left only with 2 decent bruises, but was proud to show off my battle wounds:) I was with a group of 18 people and we played multiple rounds on two different courses. The staff was very friendly and knowledgable about the courses, rules, and equipment. My only complaints: we only used orange paint balls - I would have liked to leave with a bit more colors on me! And the staging area didn't have anywhere to sit when I wanted to rest up. Paintball is not something that I would do again right away, but would be happy to return in the spring to give it another shot.

"This whole experience felt like playing against the dude who gets shot, wipes, and yells 'Didn't break!' I'm not mad -- just calling it out for what it is. Maybe this review is the headshot he didn't see coming." I spent over $1,000 with Lone Wolf Paintball and was banned from the site after exercising my right to request a refund under Maryland consumer law. I purchased a limited edition mask for $317 that looked drastically different than advertised. I was told to immediately purchase a second one (another $317) to secure the replacement while the first was in transit. When I returned the original, they issued store credit instead of the refund they had promised. It took three emails and a direct reference to their own words before they issued the refund. The second mask didn't fit, so I returned it and expected store credit, which was fine at the time. Rather than wait, I made a $400+ purchase for a Dye Box Rotor, thinking I'd spend the credit later. Boy, do I regert that--regret that. The illusion of inventory on their website is strong, but most products are actually out of stock once you click through. The few that are available are mostly fringe sizes or outdated gear. It became clear to me this system is designed to funnel customers into store credit and push slow-moving inventory. When I pushed back and referenced both Maryland and FTC law regarding refund disclosures and deceptive e-commerce practices, they refunded me, locked my account, voided my $20 store credit, and stated in writing they were "not admitting fault." I followed their policies, made clean returns, spent real money--and got banned for asking questions. "With that being said, we have determined, without admitting any type of fault, that it is in the best interest of all parties involved to process a full refund... and then we will close your account so no future orders can be placed." They refunded me. They banned me. They locked my account. Then they took the $20 store credit I had earned from the Dye Box Rotor purchase $430 W/TAX-- a valid order. Bottom line? I followed all the rules. I spent real money. I returned everything in perfect shape. One unopened, one touched for under 5 mins. And I got banned because I stood up and asked for fairness. This wasn't about being picky -- it was about being played. not this wolf no sir. And to Lone Wolf Paintball? You can keep the $20 apparently your actions prove you need it. badly.
