Pastry sweet and savory are great, Baguette is great. Sourdough is bland, no "flavor" and slightly burned.

Walked in and were told that it was a 45 min wait, totally fine for a Sunday. My partner had been…read morehere multiple times and told me they stay busy. As soon as we added our name to the list a couple got up from the bar (first come first serve). I bolted to get a couple seats. I noticed the couple returned their food and left. Didn't think anything of it. There was only one bartender tending and he was over worked. He appeared a lot when we first sat down, but hadn't received any menus, so we needed a minute. Then he disappeared for a while. Finally got his attention and put our order in. The crab bowl came and the eggs were missing. We sent it back and the gentlemen came back saying the chef agrees there's no eggs and we can add them to this bowl. No thank you. It's been taken around and people were poking in it looking for the eggs that weren't there. They remade it but this time they added 1 slice of turkey bacon and 1 slice of regular bacon. We asked for turkey bacon. My bread was soggy and evened up not eating most of it. The rest was fine. The beignets were not as airy but still fine. The two ladies making coffees were so behind that I think they lost the coffee order we had placed. We finally got it along with silverware after a moment of waiting. This place was nonstop busy and perhaps understaffed. I'm sure when they're on their A game everything is fabulous. This day was not it. Would I go back, sure. I'd give them a second try. But I would go during the week if I'm in town.

I was looking for a Cajun seafood fix in Lake Charles and thoroughly searched Yelp and saw that…read morethis place was rated the highest overall. Leonard's did not disappoint! The service was to-go style ordering and you can request to eat there. You'll pick up your food at the counter and sit at an available table. Now for the food. The ambience was an old place with a dining table to sit at. It's a bit old, but you can never judge a book by its cover. I'm from Texas so I know Cajun. This place is rated the highest and I see why! The food was absolutely amazing. My only concern was that the place wasn't as packed as I thought it would be for a highly rated restaurant. That scared me and almost made me second-guess coming there. I risked it out, and the reward was lovely! I had the seafood platter and everything was nicely seasoned. To add fuel to the season fire, a season shaker was available. But you didn't need it. If anything, you'll need some condiments to your preference. One thing I didn't like was that there weren't any catfish available. That's what made me give this place a 4.5! Gotta have catfish in Louisiana! Its a requirement! Let me tell y'all about the seafood pasta! It's one of the best pastas I ever had! Overall, the food was lovely from a place that has part of the French Quarter in its name. I will ABSOLUTELY & DEFINITELY RECOMMEND Leonard's Food Quarters and WILL be back whenever I'm in the area! PS, I have pictures, but for some reason I can't find them. I will update this soon with pics.

I just wouldn't recommend going if you're in a hurry or have a deadline for leaving. This is a good place to sit down and relax for a while. Lovely atmosphere and friendly staff. Good food. Portions for the price range might be a bit hard to swallow for some, but it makes up for that if you know what to order. You can substitute sweet potato fries, and I would recommend doing that. Overall , I would recommend this for hanging out or whatever with loved ones.

We heard good things about Luna, but I believe they were talking about a different location. Sadly,…read morethis is the only location open on Sunday for dinner, not to mention the only restaurant open at all on Sunday night. As an only resort, we visited Luna for dinner. The inside is beautiful, the dining areas and bar looked immaculate, the staff were friendly and attentive, so we assumed we would have an excellent meal. After getting our shrimp and artichoke dip appetizer, we realized the tortilla chips were stale and proceeded to eat the dip with just our forks. We shared a fried chicken breast main dish and a side Caesar salad. The salad croutons were picked off because we noticed those were also stale and chewy - this made the salad edible at least. Our chicken came out and we both immediately noticed it tasted funny, like a soapy dish water marinade. The breading was edible but sadly we couldn't make a meal out of it. So we left hungry and added this location to our list of places never to visit again when we are in the area. I don't know what this location is doing that can't be replicated from the other more popular location, but having the advantage of being one of the few restaurants open on Sunday, I would suggest management fix whatever is happening in the kitchen so they might succeed long term.

There were three of us, and we enjoyed ourselves so much that we stayed until closing! We started with the Crab Beignets and the Bone Marrow Tartare. I had never tried bone marrow tartare before, but it was absolutely incredible. The combination of prime tenderloin tartare, bone marrow, garlic aioli, and chimichurri purée was unique and packed with flavor. For our entrees, we had the Lobster Pasta, Mushroom Pasta with Chicken, and the Power Bowl with Shrimp. Every dish was outstanding. The Power Bowl was especially flavorful, and I absolutely loved the sauce. The lobster pasta was rich and delicious, and the mushroom pasta was perfectly prepared. To finish, we shared the Brownie in a Cup, which was the perfect ending to a fantastic meal. Everything we ordered was amazing. Great food, excellent service, and a wonderful atmosphere. Calla is definitely a place we'll be returning to. Highly recommended!
