Upon entering we were met with the cutest sci-fi / star wars themed room. I immediately noticed that they are inclusive to all, and appreciated that deeply. I ordered an iced pumpkin latte with oat milk, and my boyfriend ordered a black and white frozen latte. We would both rate our cof drinks a 7/10. I feel mine would have been better if I got the cold foam but I was worried they couldn't do that with oat milk. We also got a bagel and some beignets. The bagel was good, the cream cheese comes separate in a container and you spread it yourself. Beignets were also decent. The barista that helped us was kind. Earlier in the day, bae out of the blue messages me to pack our bag for a surprise roadtrip! He doesn't tell me where we are going but that he booked a hotel and has a place in mind for dinner. We ended up in Lake Charles for a 7pm reservation at La Truffe Sauvage. We were warmly greeted and sat down at a corner table topped with a single yellow rose for the evening. If you didn't know, yellow roses are my favorite! It was definitely fate that brought us there. We began the night with their warm complimentary bread and an order of their beef carpaccio with the fluffiest truffle potato chip I've ever had. What came next was their breadcrumb crusted goat cheese laying beautifully on a bed of spinach. Followed by their creamed artichoke soup hidden under a cloud of puffed pastry. For entrees, we shared their crispy snapper and fresh tagliatelle with shrimp. All in all, an incredible meal. Everything was perfect with the person sitting next to me, all the love in the air, combined with an impeccable meal, a girl couldn't ask for more.
