The instruments used during the exam appeared outdated and not properly sealed or single‑use, which made me uncomfortable. Despite worsening symptoms, I was told my test results were normal, and my questions about appropriate treatment were not addressed. After the appointment, reaching the office was difficult--I had to call multiple times before receiving a response. I was eventually asked to return for another swab only after I pushed for further evaluation. I ultimately sought care from another physician, who provided the necessary medication. I paid my bill promptly, but due to the lack of thoroughness, communication challenges, and overall experience during this visit, I do not plan to return.

Unfortunately, I recently received a "surprise" bill for the annual visit I had in December 2019. I called the office to find out what the charges were for because I know my insurance did not change and all the preventive exams should be covered. It turns out because during the annual visit, Dr. Verma and I discussed a health concert that I had. Because of that, they charged me for a physical visit and a separate office visit for the same time. No making sense at all. Do you mean patient should not talk to the doctor even if they have any health concerns?? My past experience with my primary family doctor was nothing like this. My primary family doctor addressed my questions and concerns during annual checkup. I like Dr. Novas , Dr. Oh and Dr. Chamberlain even helped me delivered both my kids but I am VERY disappointed on this office now, it is not the office I used to know, they are trying to rip off every penny they can have. Will let all my friend know and do NOT go to this office.

I called the office and they informed me that since they moved locations, they no longer had access to my medical records so they could only do something once those were sent. I emailed them a copy of my records from MyChart that day. I had to call the office 6 TIMES to ask for updates and every time, the woman said she would pass along my information. After 2 weeks of nothing getting done, I decided to go to the new office location where I had to explain AGAIN what was needed to have the office manager claim "this was the first he was hearing this". I asked if the doctor could submit the preauthorization that day (since I am running out of medication) and he said, "well the doctor is very busy". The preauthorization STILL HAS NOT BEEN COMPLETED. Good thing it's birth control and not any life-saving medicine. Do yourself a favor and find a different doctor.

I never actually saw the doctor of the office. The front desk and reception staff getting the phones - Oh my goodness! It's really bad. They are dazed, lost and confused. From the moment I first went to the office and they charged me the incorrect copay to weird things with scheduling to going back & forth with clients a million times while others are waiting to just generally being unfriendly - not a good first impression. Short side is - Go somewhere else. Despite having some great nurses, front staff is unprofessional and a hot mess and is not able to handle sensitive situations.

I LOVE Dr. Scanlon, however this office is definitely not my favorite. I had an appointment at the…read moreend of February and it was almost impossible to get ahold of a nurse to give me the results. They are closed from 12:30-1:30 for lunch and at 4:30 for the day. Even if you call around those hours, you can expect to leave a voicemail. And speaking of voicemails, if you call after 4:30, they don't even give an option to leave a voicemail. You have to call again the next day. It was end of April before I finally got someone on the phone to give me an update that they wanted me to come in for more tests. Thankfully, it wasn't anything life or death because I wouldn't have heard about it for 2 months... The other problem I had is that the ultrasound technician took my weight yesterday before I went into the room for my blood pressure and everything. Great, fine, whatever. But I get into the room and am met by a nurse who needs to weigh me. I said, "I just did that, do I need to do it again?" and she asked, "Oh.. do you remember what it was?" On top of that, 3 people asked if I skip periods: the ultrasound technician, the nurse and the doctor. I answered the same way each time. Seriously, they all carry laptops and are typing while you answer questions and between the two instances, I was left wondering "does NO ONE write anything down????" Just seems very disorganized and I feel like there should be a better system when it comes to passing along information, both from nurse to nurse/doctor and from nurse/doctor to patient. Work on it please because I love Dr. Scanlon (she's literally the only thing keeping me going to MCWH) and I really don't want to go elsewhere because I'm frustrated with the rest of the staff.

Okay great, I'm sitting here in the waiting room and the receptionists who work here are talking about how they wouldn't go here! Nurse also has some confidentiality issues, yelled out into the waiting room from behind front desk another time to discuss my diagnosis with me in front of many other patients and receptionists! As it was a very sensitive issue I had to request that we go back in a room to discuss! Why am I the patient having to ask this?! They also couldn't maintain my actual address in their computer system. Every single time I came in they had the wrong contact information, I would correct it, and it would revert back to an address I hadn't lived at for years, turns out that's where my confidential test results and bills were sent too. Fantastic. So if in 2019 you appreciate confidentiality and privacy, find a different practice.

It's a beautiful, newer, building which is very well maintained. The waiting room is large and immaculate. Once you get called in, the back is also immaculate, and the exam rooms are equally as nice. I've come here once a year (gee, wonder what for?), and both times have seen the same doctor. Now while she seems very intelligent, she also comes across as a bit judgmental. It's just in the tone, almost condescending. I come to this place because I moved, and wasn't willing to drive to my old OB/GYN group, which is like 35 minutes away. This place is like 3 minutes from my house, door to door. I think the way to resolve my issue, is to see a different doctor next time I come. Because here's the deal: I'm a grown, educated woman. I know what I'm doing. I don't need to be lectured, or condescended. Especially when you're making big bucks off me. But the thing is, she seems to know what she's doing - LOL - so THAT part kinda puts me at ease. Overall. I would still recommend you go to this place. Just maybe don't see the doctor I did. You can private message me, and I'll give her name. I don't want to publicly bash her.

She is remarkably patient and takes the time to listen and answer every question, never making you feel rushed. Knowing she is a mother herself makes her even more understanding of the journey into parenthood. He would call me back personally to talk to me about any issue I had (though his nurse was awesome too when I talked to her). And my calls always went through his secretaries (actual people!). However, he switched from his old office to Northwest Women's Consultant and I've had nothing but problems with this group. Their system is completely automated. So when you call you get a machine and you have to wait for a call back. Sometimes it's in the same day but sometimes it's more than a day later. To get a prescription the automated messages says it can be 48-72 hours before you receive a call back, so if you need something quickly, you just sit and hope the call back comes sooner. Unfortunately, the nature of my job does not allow me to pick up the phone throughout the day and so I typically miss their calls and they always want more information, so then I'm going through the automated system again to try to get them more info about my symptoms for my chronic issue that is documented in my files. It ends up being a game of phone tag for me and I never get to talk to my doctor even when I ask. He is completely unreachable through their system. I would stay away from this group if you want fast care and personal care from people who know you.
