I had an appointment at the…read moreend of February and it was almost impossible to get ahold of a nurse to give me the results. They are closed from 12:30-1:30 for lunch and at 4:30 for the day. Even if you call around those hours, you can expect to leave a voicemail. And speaking of voicemails, if you call after 4:30, they don't even give an option to leave a voicemail. You have to call again the next day. It was end of April before I finally got someone on the phone to give me an update that they wanted me to come in for more tests. Thankfully, it wasn't anything life or death because I wouldn't have heard about it for 2 months... The other problem I had is that the ultrasound technician took my weight yesterday before I went into the room for my blood pressure and everything. Great, fine, whatever. But I get into the room and am met by a nurse who needs to weigh me. I said, "I just did that, do I need to do it again?" and she asked, "Oh.. do you remember what it was?" On top of that, 3 people asked if I skip periods: the ultrasound technician, the nurse and the doctor. I answered the same way each time. Seriously, they all carry laptops and are typing while you answer questions and between the two instances, I was left wondering "does NO ONE write anything down????" Just seems very disorganized and I feel like there should be a better system when it comes to passing along information, both from nurse to nurse/doctor and from nurse/doctor to patient. Work on it please because I love Dr. Scanlon (she's literally the only thing keeping me going to MCWH) and I really don't want to go elsewhere because I'm frustrated with the rest of the staff.

Okay great, I'm sitting here in the waiting room and the receptionists who work here are talking about how they wouldn't go here! Nurse also has some confidentiality issues, yelled out into the waiting room from behind front desk another time to discuss my diagnosis with me in front of many other patients and receptionists! As it was a very sensitive issue I had to request that we go back in a room to discuss! Why am I the patient having to ask this?! They also couldn't maintain my actual address in their computer system. Every single time I came in they had the wrong contact information, I would correct it, and it would revert back to an address I hadn't lived at for years, turns out that's where my confidential test results and bills were sent too. Fantastic. So if in 2019 you appreciate confidentiality and privacy, find a different practice.

I was told by the other practice that I basically have to live with it. My sister-in-law recommended this practice & I picked Dr Tart from the website. I could not be happier ! Immediately I felt heard & understood. She put me on HRT & I have my life back. Is she quick with her appointments? Yes but I never feel rushed I just feel she is efficient. She is always on time & listens to everything I say. I have recommended her to many of my same age friends to help them with menopause. I never have a problem talking to anyone there. She has her own nurse you takes the messages & she gets things done ! For example my husband lost his job & we were going to have to change to an insurance plan that this office didn't take. I panicked b/c I love them & I have all my HRT through them. The nurse got me in to see Dr Tart even though I know there was no openings & they refilled my prescriptions for the year. The minute my husband got a new job we had better insurance so right back to this office. Highly recommend Dr Tart !!

Dr. Oh took the time to review my images and then sat down with me to go over her thoughts, answer my questions, and talk about how she recommended we move forward. I was so impressed and put at ease by this interaction. I finally felt like someone was giving it to me straight and like I had a voice into my care. Following this appointment, I transitioned to this being my primary OBGYNE provider. When we started trying to conceive at the end of 2018 and had difficulty, Dr. Oh again was so gracious, patient, and sympathetic. She helped us navigate some preliminary testing to check if anything was amiss as we continued to try. When we finally, thankfully were able to conceive on our own, Dr. Oh came in to the room for our first appointment and celebrated with us. We could sense her genuine excitement for us after trying for almost a year. I have experienced these doctors in some challenging medical situations. Not only my ovarian cyst, and trying to conceive, but also a subchorionic hematoma, difficult delivery, and now progesterone shots for my second pregnancy. Dr. Heiberger commanded the room with a firm but calm demeanor when I was delivering my first son and had complications. The nurses have gone to battle for me in this pregnancy with the specialty pharmacy to make sure I get my weekly progesterone shots delivered on time. I can't say enough good things about this place. This practice has been an excellent place for me and my growing family.

This is not an emotional review but one based on a several interactions with this practice A heartless place with no real dedication or concern for patients. One appointment resulted in "well I'm not sure why they scheduled you today" and that was one of the more positive interactions. Certainly NOT recommended for prenatal care. Then When I had a heath concern and wasn't sure if I could wait to see the doctor or go to the ER I called their on call line and ask to speak to a doctor. They said the doctor would call back in 7-11 minutes. A doctor didn't end up calling until almost an hour and a half later at which point I had decided to just go to the ER. The doctors so far seem impersonal and the customer service seems so bad. I'm lucky I don't have a complicated pregnancy because I am not sure I would trust them to take care of my needs if I did. Scheduling and important things like trying to get a hold of a doctor seem really difficult for them as an organization. Their locations are convenient and I'm glad they are connected with Lutheran General which also has a children's hospital. That's honestly the only reason I'm not switching. The doctors seem competent but not very personal.

Then there is another 15-20 minute wait. The main waiting room/lobby is dirty and unpleasant. The rude and sloppy office staff has managed to lose my medical records at one point and recently, after taking TWO copies of my insurance cards in less than a month, they managed to bill the wrong insurance company. They initially blamed me and expected me to clean up the billing mess. Only after I had them pull my (new, because they lost the old one) chart and showed them I gave the right info did they agree to handle it. It took several months to resolve. The male doctors are rude and Dr. Eisenberg in particular has a horrible bedside manner. If you are forced to go to this practice because of insurance coverage, only see the female doctors. This practice is so bad I'm considering paying out of pocket to go elsewhere, even though my insurance company covers my visits to this office at nearly 100%. That's how bad they are at Women's Healthfirst.

I arrived at 950am for my 1015 appointment. After finishing all the paper work by 1005, I waited patiently. The receptionist was not very friendly, and was quite rude to the rest of the staff. At 1025, I asked if I was going to be seen soon because I am kind of in a hurry, she said sure. I didn't get into a room until 1035, the PA didn't come in until 1050. At this point, I have already been here an hour and have yet to be examined! I do not understand why they make the appointments so close, knowing that people will most likely have questions, so to allow themselves more time. The PA was pleasant, but nothing to rave about. I think I will continue searching for another OB/GYN.
