Its been forever since I wrote the original review for Womancare PC... and they've moved multiple times since then and got affiliated and moved into a modern new healthcare hub building / campus in Palatine... as NCH which was great because I like the MyChart app. Now its been consolidated into Endeavor with a bunch of other local hospital networks. Will have to see how this update pans out... but when I saw the amazing Dr. Lutheringhausen back in the NCH era (after Dr Alvi left), I feel that I got upgraded to a founding member of the practice by sheer luck. The professional digs seemed to have a upgrade on administrative staff as well, much better interactions. She is a powerhouse of petite perfection as a gynecologist and accordingly SO in-demand... youre lucky if you get on her patient list. She will make your junk and you feel golden. PSA for women who've been told they need a hysterectomy: Find a doctor who does it robotically! I went home the same day! 4 small incisions. I only needed Motrin and Tylenol, no further drugs. I'm one week out doing over 10,000 steps a day (started walking day after surgery).Not lifting anything heavy yet, but I feel GREAT! I never knew this was an option! It is so hard to book any sort of appointment. Anytime I call I am waiting over 20 minutes to speak with someone. I leave several messages and no one calls me back. I had to go to the nurses line to schedule my ultrasound. I really liked Madison monk and would like to continue seeing her but the wait time just to book is insane. read more

Start by saying I really like the docs and staff there expect for one ultrasound tech. Her name is Tara and she is absolutely HORRIBLE! Not friendly, hates everyone and makes you uncomfortable. Her manners, her demeanor her look everything about her is just horrible and intimidating. She has zero customer service skills and seems to hate her job and everyone around her. Pregnancy should be a happy time and every parent looks fwd to see the baby over the screen at each appointment. She obviously doesn't get that and makes it such a bad experience for everyone. I always leave the room stressed every time I see her. Everyone else is amazing. Love all the other ultrasound techs but bc of her I'm going to give 3 stars. Misdiagnosed me and ordered the wrong blood work at 15 weeks pregnant. Met three different doctors and just didn't love their bedside manner. Those things made me leave mid pregnancy. The only good thing about this practice is the head ultra sound tech. She is amazing! Best one I have ever had. Wish I could stay just for her read more

If I could give no stars I would. Don't waste your life or health with this practice. I was referred over here for my hysterectomy by a previous dr of mine for over 10 years due to her retiring and no longer preforming surgeries. I get the surgery which insurance covered 100% but your dr added in addition fees for over size uterus.... He knew what he was up against per previous notes, CD's of two of my previous procedures and MRI's. This was a tactic to make more money outside of the insurance....Stay away they are about money only and not the care of patients. Needless to say since I didn't align to pay this markup they kicked me out of the practice and I found out after having complications after surgery and needing a follow up. To show up at the office they asked for a payment of over $5k in full and when I responded I wasn't paying this markup they said well the dr will not see you. I was rejected of service and had to go to the ER to major sure the added fluid after surgery was not an infection. read more

I got some loooooooooovely comments from the ultrasound tech about "Oh honey, you're too young to have ovarian cancer, what are you even doing here!" and how painful the procedure was likely to be and she wouldn't want to be in my shoes. Way to make a crying 20 y/o who found out she has a tumor feel better. If that wasn't enough...went in for an OBGYN appointment, and during vitals, was asked if I wanted to get my flu shot while I was there. As an NCH employee, I was legally required to get one, so I asked if I'd be billed for it, and was told no, and if I was, insurance would cover it.. ...a year later, I was notified that the bill - for the flu shot only - had gone to collections and I now owed $264 in late fees. Called the office, was told, "Too bad, so sad. Pay up." read more

For any fathers to be that don't want to feel left out, do yourself a favor and never book an appointment through Womancare. My wife and I are expecting twins and have been meeting with different medical groups to find the best fit. Out of the multiple medical groups we met with, this was the ONLY place that did not let me (the husband) go into the consultation with my wife. I understand this may not be important to some people, but it is important to us as we are a TEAM and it important that we meet the doctor together. In all honesty this place has some very sexiest vibes. When my wife texted me from the examination room to tell me I wasn't allowed back there, I immediately got up to ask the front desk. Their response..."Because Covid, but you can be back there when she has her ultrasounds." UM OK....WHATS THE DIFFERENCE BETWEEN THE CONSULTATION AND THE ULTRASOUNDS....I STILL HAVE TO GO BACK THERE!!! Not only did I not meet the doctor but I didn't even get to hear my babies heartbeats. They need to get their "Covid restriction policies" in check. Telling me I cant go back there for the consultation but only for the ultrasounds makes absolute no sense. Plus, this is one of the only medical groups that I've been to that don't allow husbands to go back with their wife because of Covid. read more

This is my OBGYN office. She was referred by a blogger. I've been coming here for two years. She's helping me with my PCOS issues. I really like Dr. Anderson and her staff. The staff are nice as well and they have a bowl of dark chocolate kisses for the patients, it's like a mint after your meal! However, the wait and getting in is a challenge...yeah cause she's that good! Positive and optimistic which I like. She's also a huger when she leaves. It's so nice cause giving a hug is therapy for the soul, ya know. She also gave me her cell phone number if I have any other questions or concerns during my visits with her. Now come on! Not a lot of doctors would do that! Do they? Her office is like a little house, the waiting room looks like someone's family room with a fire place. They have most current magazines all over the place, even i the waiting room if you end up "waiting". They also have a coffee station for you to get a cup of joe if you need it. It's best to make an appointment first thing in the AM or take a longer lunch hour cause she gets that busy. For out of pocket payments, they can help you for that as well. If you want to see your test results, you can call or go on the internet to see if they didn't call you back for a followup. I've seen the nurse practitioner as well which is fine, but I will make myself available just to see Dr. Anderson! read more

I'll preface this with: I went to the Schaumburg location, not Arlington Heights, but do not think comments/ratings are enabled for the Schaumburg location. I also went in 2021-2022 so this is not 100% fresh in my mind. HOWEVER, I would not recommend that anyone go to any womancare location, based on my experiences. I went in spring/summer 2021 to start birth control as I was in a new relationship for the first time in several years. Started the annual ring you clean, store, and re-use every month for a year. A couple weeks in I had SEVERE nausea and vomiting. Called the office and explained what was going on, and was told there was no need for me to come in, it was just up to me and "what I could handle" to decide whether or not to continue using the ring. At the time I was younger and naive and thought this was some fault on my part, so I struggled with the symptoms for a few days and they eventually went away. Flash forward 6 months or so. I had a SEVERE reaction including vomiting and my hands and face going numb! I literally needed to pull over on the highway and remove this stupid ring, at which point I felt an immediate wave of relief. I called the office again and was again talked down to, but insisted this time that I actually go in and see the doctor again. When I saw the doctor she told me there was no point in trying another type of hormonal birth control because it seemed to just not agree with me. I'm not a doctor, but I'm still not convinced that was necessarily the case. Maybe reinserting the same piece of plastic into your body every month for a year is stupid? Anyway, I felt the doctors and nurses at the Schaumburg facility were extremely cold and dismissive. Trying to get patients in and out as fast as possible and make money. Fast forward to now, I'm engaged to the same amazing partner I had just started dating back in 2021, and we are happily expecting our first child together. So it all worked out. But rest assured, I have found a new OB GYN. read more

I agree with the others that Dr. Luthringhausen is one of the better doctors I have seen. The issue that I have today is that Dr. had me do a glucose tolerance test to see if I had diabetes. Nurse calls and leaves a voice mail on the phone saying, I just wanted to let you know that you have been diagnosed with diabetes. As someone who works in the health care field, I would tell the patient to please call me back when they are able--not to leave a message like that. It upset me and threw me for a loop. I will still go to Dr. L, but, not pleased on how the message was left. read more

DO NOT GO HERE. If you want a place where you feel valid as a patient, this is not for you. I was laughed at when I asked the ultrasound tech to interpret my ultrasound. She said, "I don't know why you would need to know this info". She acted like I didn't have the right to know the results of a report I paid for. I was supposed to be happy with the succinct "ovaries-polycystic". This is not the only time I have had a complaint with their service. They are insensitive, only want to push birth control. I had to lie and say I wanted to get pregnant in order to get any help with testing hormones. I had to beg to get a progesterone test from Dr. Lori Anderson, which turned out extremely low. I was having 52 day cycles and she told me not to worry and I would be able to have children. Now, 5 years later, turns out it was a cause for concern and I am not ovulating. THANKS A LOT I will never return to this office. I've been put down as a patient, laughed at, and told my issues weren't a big deal and even normal. Never put your fertility in this office's hands. Stay away from WomanCare! They do not care about you as a person. First off, I had an ultrasound tech say "Why can't you get pregnant on your own? What's wrong with you?" etc. Then when I complained about the treatment, I will still treated poorly by the nursing staff when I got called with a concern. Due to my conversation with the nurse, the NURSE decided that I needed additional/controversial medication and didn't even ask me but just mandate that I take it. Also, in terms of billing: if they can't read your handwriting, they will call you multiple times in a day requesting a new form of payment. This place just cares about money, not people. Do not go here if you want to be treated like a human! There are much better places where you get treated with empathy, care, concern, and respect. read more

Very frustrated with this practice. WHEN they answer the phone you get shuffled to a nurse after waiting 18 minutes only to be transferred back to the front for an appointment and be on hold for 19 plus plus more minutes. They obviously need more staff to meet the phone demands. So frustrated. Who has time to be on hold that long. You have the option of leaving a message too but found that not to be very effective either. They have just lost a patient.... read more

I called Woman Care PC in late April or towards the beginning of May to schedule my annual exam. The scheduler on the phone was very nice and explained that it would be at least a month before I could get in to see Dr. Goldin; which was completely fine with me. Dr. Goldin was referred to me by my neighbor, as my hubby and I are new to the area. I had a wonderful experience during my visit last week. The medical assistant that took my health history was amazing and Dr. Goldin was just as wonderful. She didn't rush through my visit and asked me at least three different times if I had any questions or concerns. I was in and out of my appointment within 45 minutes; this included having lab work done! This practice uses an online system for communicating with patients. I suggest taking advantage of registering during your visit (staff asks if you want to do this). They sign you up using your email and then a password is emailed to you for signing into their online patient portal. You are also notified via email anytime new test results, communications, etc. are posted on the portal. My lab and pap results were posted within 1 day! This beats waiting for a phone call or paperwork through the mail. The Dr. can even recommend supplements; my Vitamin D levels were low so Dr. Goldin typed her recommendations in the comment box that posts with the test results. Highly recommend this office to anyone searching for a new GYN (I'm not sure if she practices obstetrics anymore). They're staying current by using the latest technologies available to them, which only makes things easier and much more convenient for (us) patients. read more

Do not let them talk you into the mesh surgery! it dissolved and not I am having many many female issue! Get a 2nd opinion!!!

The space itself is a comfortable and pleasant space but it does not nearly make up for the lack of care provided by this practice. I am still healing from the medical trauma I endured from my time as a patient here. In 2017, my test results were delivered a month late when I was positive for a Medical Condition. Once I learned I had the Medical Condition, I attempted to schedule follow up testing and discuss treatment but it was impossible to schedule an appointment. Once I was finally able to get in, follow up tests were also delivered late and it was impossible to discuss my condition with anyone or receive any kind of support. I thankfully am okay and have found a new practice with a supportive and empathetic team that is helping me heal, however I think it's important to share this review as I do not want anyone to go through what I did. read more

I recently had a laparoscopic robotic hysterectomy with Dr. Kahan (he's great). My recovery has gone very smoothly, with very little downtime. At my two week follow up appointment, I was released to resume all activities. My family and friends are amazed at how easy this surgery was. read more

Dr. Erlich is a real gem at WomanCare. She is the only reason I make the drive from Chicago to the suburbs, and the ONLY reason I chose to deliver my baby with WomanCare and Northwest Community Hospital instead of Northwestern Prentice Women's Hospital in Chicago. I have seen other doctors at WomanCare and had a couple of bad experiences (I would not recommend Dr. Shapiro) but Dr. Erlich is 100% why I continue my care there. I will follow her anywhere she goes. She is compassionate, efficient, reasonable, and truly uses her brain to make the best decisions. I appreciate that she presents facts and information along with recommendations to me as a patient but ultimately lets me make decisions for myself and be in control of my own health journey. She is pragmatic and supportive and has always been accessible to me as a patient, even outside of scheduled appointments which never feel rushed. During appointments, she discusses any concerns I might have, takes thorough notes, explains everything she's doing before she does it and why, and is very easy and comfortable to communicate with which is so important for women's health. We have discussed overall physical health, mental health, hormone changes, fertility, reproductive health, and migraines, which are all related in the whole picture of women's health. It is obvious she is dedicated to her field and you can feel that she goes above and beyond for her patients. One big thing that is hard to come by with doctors is trust and follow-through -- if she says she will call you, she makes sure to set aside time during and outside of regular business hours to reach you personally. Of all the doctors I see in various specialties, she is my #1 top doctor and I drive the distance just to see her because that's how much I trust her brain and bedside manner specifically. There can sometimes be a wait to get on her schedule for a regular check-up due to her popularity with patients, so be prepared to book a little in advance if you have certain day/time restrictions. Aside from getting to work with Dr. Erlich, the nurses at WomanCare are great, as well. I love that you can call and talk to anyone at any time of the day if you have health-related questions, which there can be a lot of during pregnancy. WomanCare is a pretty decent-sized practice and having access to nurses and doctors over the phone for no extra charge is a priceless offering to patients. read more

I've made many trips here while pregnant, and there is a lot to recommend. WC was suggested by my general practitioner, who shares office space with them. When I joined there was one female ob/gyn, Michelle Goldin, and they've since added about 4-5 more. My first visit was with Michelle, but pregnant women are scheduled with all the docs, as the one who ultimately delivers your baby is the luck of the draw. I received excellent medical care here. Every doc I saw was courteous, professional & willing to answer my many questions. For most appointments, the routine was this: pee in a cup, nurse takes your blood pressure/checks heartbeat, a doc feels your abdomen and takes measurements. Five min. of face time with a doctor isn't enough to really build a personal rapport. I did see the sonographer, Kathy (forget her last name) three times, and she is a gem. Never met any medical professional so enthused about her job, and after many years! She was super friendly, funny and completely put me and my husband at ease. It's a joyful experience to see your child in utero, and Kathy made those moments everything you'd want them to be. There's a humanistic side to medicine and, due to the limited time I spent with the docs, there was a slightly impersonal vibe I felt. It's a busy practice - there were 4 main ob/gyns out of this Arlington Heights office; now there are quite a few more - so perhaps that's not a fair judgment. Ultimately my delivery went well and I have a healthy child, so that's the most important thing to me. But I do reluctantly dock them points for what happened at my 5-week post-natal checkup with the doctor who delivered my baby. He inquired how I was feeling. I began telling him how overwhelmed and out-of-it I was. He sort of cut me off and re-directed his question: "How are your stitches?" Insensitive of him not to pursue what could have been full-blown postpartum depression. (I later got a prescription for Lexapro from a psychiatrist - yeah, those first few months were rough). Even my daughter's pediatrician expressed concern about how I was doing, mentally. So for a practice called WOMANCARE to ignore/discount a patient's state-of-mind after birth...well, it's hard to forgive. In fairness, I'm speaking about one particular doctor. A different ob/gyn could and probably would be more empathetic. So take my experience for what it's worth. And know that I still go here, and would choose them for another pregnancy read more

I'm sorry to be the bearer of bad news, but this place is awful! To get in to seeing a Doctor is at least month and that's if you are planning to see the same one. Although if you want to see a random one they will squeeze you in, but let's get serious every doctor has a different method for treating its patients and what one recommends may not be what another does. Regardless, expect to be there for long periods of time, because they are rarely in and out or on time. Oh and if you are just coming in for a lab test such as a urine test and someone other than the OB/GYN sees you, they will bill your insurance as if the OB/GYN saw you, so expect to see that on your bill. Which leads to my next point. If you have chronic problems or are dealing with side effects to meds, go somewhere else because they will be the first to take your money and what the insurance will pay them, but the last to help you get to the bottom of it. They will run tests you don't need and come up with excuses just to bill your insurance more. In the end, they will put you on a med to keep your mouth shut, but rest assured, you'll be back because there is no quick solution to your problem unless the dollar sign fits, which leads to my next point. Their nurses know very little about anything. In fact they are more like Medical Assistants who passed a test to be an RN. Whenever I called in to check on labs, they would read them and when I asked them to explain something, they didn't know what it was saying. Sometimes I wondered why they didn't google it just for the sake of my sanity or hey here's an idea ask the doc and get back to me. I mean really?? How do you work for an OB/GYN and not know what some of these results are or at least how do not care to know for the sake of the patient?? Which leads to my next one. These people have no sense of communication skills with each other. No matter how many times I came in, they never documented things I told them which had me always repeating info and starting at ground zero. Oh and if you need them communicating with another physician, or sending your results to another physician, good luck because they rarely ever did it. They also didn't understand how important other physician's getting that info was to me. Which then leads to my next point. I addressed these matters with multiple people as far as my experiences and while they claimed to care, nothing ever changed with them. Needless say after the experiences I received here, I will never ever go back to them. It's just sad because from what I hear the owner is amazing & has a passion for women's health, too bad the rest of her staff doesn't. read more

Said it was ok;* too far along to do 'This'(!?!) on [my] own"* (*thx u Google for the 2nd entry I had to look into mySelf for being images I couldn't scroll past Fast eNough, of what I'd see while aLone in a Gas Station* Bathroom 2(!) days l8r!); Dr. Kahan was on call that Wed, and made a nurse that had previously had enough sense to say I should come in just to check when contractions woke me up that morning, tell me: "NORMAL; JUST TAKE Motrin; WAIT for SCHEDULED Appt"!!?!?!?! ...So, instead, our baby was born with wings in a GAS STATION BATHROOM, alone; the ambulance - nor the hospital it whisked me to - HAD DRUGS Strong Enough TO (fully) DULL the PAIN!!! Dr. Cucco was rude, blamed all of his mistakes on his nurse, and loudly spoke about which kind of test I was getting NOT in the privacy of a patient examination room. Imagine "WE ARE TESTING HER FOR GONERRHEA, NOT CHLAMYDIA!" Mortifying. Also, receptionists are rude (you're not that important) and it is impossible to get a hold of a nurse. read more

After realizing this was the ONLY clinic my insurance would cover, I called over my lunch break and was able to make an appointment. The medical staff were very good: friendly, professional and knowledgable. Dr. Erlich and the nurse deserved at least a three-star review. They promised to post all of my lab results to a secure Web site, which I thought was a great idea. Weeks later, they'd only posted half of them. Apparently one was abnormal, but I never found out which one. I needed a prescription, which they called in to my pharmacy, but they never told me what the prescription was, what it was for, why I needed it, etc. So, for the half hour you're actually in the building, I'd give it three stars. For every single interaction outside of those four walls, it's a one-star at best. read more

I can't say anything I haven't already said in my last 5-star review... except for the fact that I've recently had to switch doctors due to a change in health insurance, and after one visit, I MISS DR. LUPO! Dr. Lupo was and is the best. Sure, you have to make an appointment far in advance, but so worth it. Excellent bedside manner, she really put me at ease. After seeing my new doctor, I wish I could afford to pay out-of-pocket to go back to Dr. Lupo. I was almost in tears over it. So much better than any other doctor I've seen. read more

The doctor would not treat me because I marked on my paperwork that I choose not to accept a blood transfusion. They seemed very adamant about changing my mind. A nurse took me into a room and tried pressuring me by asking if I was bleeding out on the table and would die unless I had a blood transfusion, would I still refuse a blood transfusion? If they will refuse any patients who choose to not to accept a blood transfusion, they should screen new patients on the phone before scheduling the appointment. For people who make a living out of claiming to help others, it was disappointing how they disrespected my time and health. read more

I loved all the doctors here. I had bleeding a couple times throughout my pregnancy and they made it very easy to get in to see the doctor. And they were very thorough and reassuring. I saw each doctor at least once, except Dr. Goldin (who I was told, no longer does OB). They were all great. On my first visit we sat in the conference room, had a detailed conversation about my medical history (which is pretty extensive) and the doctor suggested I do a scheduled c-section because of one particular problem I've had. I agree with Kathy R.'s review that the visits are a little short, but I never had any question that was left unanswered. If you have a question or concern, they will take the time to talk to you. The ultrasound tech they have is great. She's really funny. In my 20 week video you can see where I'm laughing because my son is bouncing around like crazy. We had originally scheduled my csection for March 15 and when I found out that my insurance would require that I pay for insurance for the baby from March 1st, I called to see if I could reschedule to the 16 (then I wouldn't have to pay until April 1st for insurance). The doctor had no problem rescheduling for that reason. The csection was great. I had very little pain and went home 2 days later. I was back to normal in 2 weeks. I loved all the doctors, and now have a fondness for Dr. Dominicis - who delivered my son. He was great. I will definitely go back to WomanCare PC for my next child. read more

I could not be more happy. I just visited on Friday for my annual exam. I didn't have any questions or concerns this year and really just wanted to be on my way to run errands. Start to finish - I was in and out in about 15 minutes. Dr. Dominicis is awesome and his whole staff is so friendly. I love this office. It is so nice there. I feel I am in good hands at this practice. If you do have questions, they will take the time to answer them and spend the necessary time to make you feel comfortable. In my case, I was just happy to complete my exam and be on my way. Fabulous! read more

I have never in my life met a medical professional who was so incredibly uncaring. While his office staff always answer the phone you are always made out to seem like an inconvenience and a burden. They are completely inept at and unable to handle anything but the norm. If you are a sexually traumatized patient or have any type of emotional problem from sexual trauma they treat you like shit. They take no patient history and are so judgemental if almost feels like you are getting a pelvic exam from your mother. They misrepresent themselves and what they do. They do not have a bone density center and while web md.. says that Dr l. Kahan is a urologist he is not I would never let them deliver a child of mine ever. I've been seen by Dr. Lupo & Dr. Erlich. Both were great but I liked Dr. Lupo just a little bit more. She was funny, friendly and didn't make it seem like I was in for my yearly exam. No awkwardness, uncomfortableness, etc. They are located in the suburbs and I live in the city, so I recently decided to try to get a doctor closer to my apartment. It was a bad idea and now I am willing to drive to Arlington Heights for my 'womanly' appointments and will make sure to never stray from Dr. Lupo again! I've referred friends and family to her and nobody has been disappointed. read more

So far, VERY concerned about how much this place is going to cost me. I feel like I got ordered for entirely unnecessary tests - the same tests twice, in fact. The doctor thought it was absolutely necessary that we redo them. Mind you, I went in for a ROUTINE ANNUAL EXAM, and they didn't even take a urine sample! I've had THREE office visits in the last 3 weeks and each time I came in, they ordered more tests. As of now, the doctor has asked me to return 1-2 more times for more tests, including an ultrasound and glucose and allergy tests. No idea why those are necessary AT ALL, but she thinks they would be a fantastic idea. For a simple hormonal imbalance that's fairly common, this is being treated like I have cancer. Instead of referring me to a specialist right away who could help me, they just kept ordering more tests and waste my time and money. THEY EVEN TRIED TO SELL ME REGULAR VITAMINS THAT YOU CAN GET OVER THE COUNTER AT THIS PLACE!!! As time progressed, I truly got the sense that I was being RIPPED OFF. I feel like I came in for a regular exam, and they have bled me dry just because they could. I also asked the administrative staff every time to print me out directions to enter the patient portal, and they have never delivered that to me. I wouldn't recommend this place to my worst enemy because it seems like they are in it for the money and not to help people. They see their patients as a way to earn a quick buck. read more

My doctor Stacy Weiss has seen me a couple times related to abnormal pap results and I've disagreed with her care. (Bleeding for an entire year is NOT normal or necessary, ladies.) Now that I'm going to a different doctor I've requested them to fax my files to my new doctor. The WomanCare office is charging me $27 to copy my medical file "copying fees" and will only mail me a hard copy of my files because it's "too much to fax" to my new doctor. Is making me pay for my own medical files even legal? How is that even possible to be too much info to fax to a new doctor?? One star because I'm not sure how much they're taking me for. I have been a patient here for years and have referred many a new patient. I Am through waiting an excessive amount of time to be seen for a visit. My time is valuable too. No one needs to be sitting in a waiting room and then exam room for an hour. Schedule more efficiently. read more
