As my son is removing his shirt, one of the office staff comes and tells him to go look at a different patient before he's even examined my kid, "just to see something, he'll be right back," she said. Oh hell no! Unless someone's heart stopped beating you can damned well finish with one patient first. OMG, he just told my minor child that he can take two extra strength Tylenol every four hours. That's too much Tylenol. That was after ignoring the fact that I'd noted on the forms that my son can't take NSAIDs and trying to tell him to take ibuprofen. There was more but my head is absolutely spinning, I've never seen so many minor medical errors. I will take the order for the spinal X-ray elsewhere and will never come here again.

I will never come to this urgent care again. They have zero sense of urgency even with a room full of people. The nurses were laughing and talking at the desk as I had been waiting an hour in the room just for a doctor to come by. The front desk woman was arguing with one of the nurses in the back and it was incredibly unprofessional. DO NOT come here!! 2.5 hour wait for a 5 minute visit

Background This is a New Hospital for HonorHealth having purchased it from its previous owner's out of bankruptcy. This purchase and their buying Cigna's East valley EverNorth Care locations allowed them to expand their operations from the West Valley and Scottsdale into the East valley. For me as a Cigna patient for four decades it has turned out to be a great healthcare benefit. Facility 5/5 HonorHealth has made some branding changes since my last visit a few years ago but my exposure to the hospital has been limited to the ER during this visit. Office5/5+ The ER was well staffed during the day shift and my wait time was significantly less that the Banner Baywood I normally utilized. Service 5/5+ After intake Triage, I was moved to an individual room within the ER department. Typical as shown in the picture. After pulling my records directly from my HonorHealth superstition springs PCPs office, the ER Physician ordered a number of tests both labs and CT. A team of ER technicians and nurses came in to do their part of my care. I was extremely impressed with their bedside manner and professionalism. I was regularly updated on status and provided hydration throughout. Overall experience 5/5++ I was extremely impressed with how HonorHealth's ER managed my treatment and visit. Based in my records and care management transition from Cigna to HonorHealth and the MyChart app has translated to better outcomes for my health care needs. Be well my friends-SYOY!

My issue is that we were move to multiple different chairs in different room. Initially in our own room, then to another private room with a chair, then to a lobby area with other patients where we all sat in a row with arms touching, then back to a private room with a chair, then discharged. My son was hurting and so sick. The lady next to us was puking from the methadone she received. She was in the ER the night before and back. They were working on checking her in for surgery. I know because I was sitting by here. No privacy of medical information. I also got her pile splatter on my arm. My son had managed to fall asleep in the chair. He has leaned over his arm that had an IV with fluids dripping and started bleeding. When they pulled us back to the last room we were told he had influenza B. I said, so the lady going into surgery was just exposed? And he is hurting. Exposure and health info privacy act violation. The hospital said that all Honor Health hospitals are this way.

Jay has no business giving anyones face stitches. He doesn't care about his patients, his bedside manner left me feeling like a bother, his work is messy and I think he's tired of his job, it shows in his face, his work, and his attitude. Do yourself a favor and avoid this place especially if you need any kind of stitches because Jay doesn't care about you or your wound and it will show by the time it heals how much he really cares. On 15 July 2025, I had a visit with Debra Berger, FNP (Family Nurse Practicioner). She told me that…read morea colleague, maybe the intake technician-(but I do not recall telling that lady) said I was there to, among other things, talk about my blood pressure medications. When she told me that she was told by her colleague to cover my blood pressure meds, I told her I was seeing a cardiologist and I was doing fine with his plan for me, so I preferred not to discuss my blood presure meds. The blood pressure meds review issue was no biggie for either her or me, but the following is.... *** After we finished our session, I asked Nurse Berger for a prescription renewal for a muscle relaxer for my nocturnal leg cramps. SHE REFUSED! I told her that I preferred Tizanidine, as it dehydrates me and it stops my noctural Phlegm, which can fill up my Eustacian Tubes during the night and could cause Vertigo. I added that I'd lost 80% of my right ear hearing due to an ear infection in the late 1990s.. I told her that Dr. Spivery, under whom I assume Ms, Berger works, had written a muscle relaxer for me. Berger became angry and said, "WELL, GO SEE DR. SPIVEY!" I shall not go back to that office and I'll get a copy of this review to Dr. Spivey. *** I told Ms. Berger that I really needed a muscle relaxer for my noctural leg cramps (they awaken me at night and are very painful and hard to get rid of. I added that as men (I don't know about women) get into their 70s and 80s, leg cramps come on and become more frequent and longer lasting as a man ages. *** Ms. Berger denied that theory. *********************************************************** Okay, so to conclude, I am going to paste in below what gemini.google.com said about aging males and leg cramps. Google's "Gemini" is an Artificial Intelligence robot bank, has read and stored everything on the internet. My conversation with Gemini is below: *********************************************************** I wish Gemini had been present in my years as a young student. *** HERE IS THE QUESTION AND ANSWER SESSION GEMINI & I had: Question: Are nocturnal leg cramps more and more common in men as they age from age 70 to 90? Yes, nocturnal leg cramps tend to become more common as people age, and this trend continues into the 70s and 80s. While some sources suggest that women experience them more than men, the general consensus is that increasing age is a significant risk factor for both genders. Here's a breakdown of why this is the case and some relevant statistics: Increased Prevalence with Age: Nearly every adult over 50 will experience leg cramps at least once. 33% of people over 60 will have a nocturnal leg cramp at least once every two months. The prevalence further increases, with some studies showing that almost half of those aged 80 years or more experience them. One study found that 50% of elderly outpatients had "rest cramps," with 20% reporting symptoms for 10 years or more. Another study showed that 46% of adults aged 60 and older reported cramps, with 31% reporting being woken up by them, and 15% having cramps more than 3 times a month. Reasons for Increased Prevalence in Older Adults: Tendon Shortening: As people age, their tendons naturally shorten, which can lead to muscle cramps. Muscle Fatigue and Nerve Dysfunction: These are considered primary causes. Electromyographic studies suggest that leg cramps originate in the lower motor neurons with hyperactive, high-frequency, involuntary nerve discharge. Age-Related Loss of Motor Neurons: This is more pronounced in the legs and can contribute to a propensity for leg cramps in older individuals. Reduced Physical Activity: Inactivity can lead to muscle shortening and increased risk of cramps. Underlying Medical Conditions: Many chronic conditions common in older adults can contribute to leg cramps, including: Diabetes Kidney failure Peripheral artery disease (restricting blood flow) Neurological disorders (e.g., Parkinson's disease, nerve damage) Osteoarthritis Thyroid diseases Dehydration and electrolyte imbalances (though the evidence for mineral supplementation being a primary solution is mixed). Medications: Many medications commonly prescribed to older adults can have muscle cramps as a side effect, such as diuretics, statins (for cholesterol), and blood pressure drugs. In summary, while leg cramps can affect anyone, their frequency and severity generally increase with age, making them more and more common in men (and women) as they progress from their 70s into their 90s. This is often due to a combination of physiological changes associated with aging and the increased likelihood of comorbid health conditions and medications. *********************************************************** I sincerely hope this helps Ms. Berger and her future patients. I've made arrangements to go again to my previous PCP, who's a good distance away from my home. Ms. Berger's office is only 2 miles from my home.
