I absolutely would NOT recommend this company to anyone! I dropped off my 2011 BMW 3.28i xDrive for them to look over because it was lacking power and would immediately shut off when I would first start it and then randomly when I would come to a stop and the RPM's would drop below 1,000ish. They had the car for 2+ weeks and billed me just under $1,300 to fix the issues, and told me "it was good to go", and "that it had a good bill of health". The car was then picked up and the bill was paid in full. As this is a 2nd car to for me after I picked up the car, and drove it home (I live maybe 6 miles from them) I parked it for just about a week. When I went to drive it for the 2nd time after getting it back from Heistand, I made it about 3 miles down Rt.30 before the car completely died on me, and I mean completely DIED, it wouldn't start at all,, like the car completely locked up on me. I then call Heistand standing on the side of Rt.30, and they act surprised and have no clue as to what could've gone wrong, and say they'll come tow it off the side of the road back to their shop. After 2-3 days go by and I don't hear anything I give them a call and speak to the owner Chuck, he tells me that "they don't feel comfortable working on it anymore, and recommend I have it towed directly to BMW" of they I do. Faulkner BMW calls me the day they receive the car and tells me that the engine is completely blown and it needs a completely new engine, as well as a couple other things, $9,200 later the car drives like its brand new thanks to the amazing guys over at Faulkner BMW. Heistand then mails a bill to my father's office (totally unprofessional) with a handwritten note on it saying that they've ve been trying to reach out to me for months unsuccessfully (not true at all, no one had called me, emailed me, or directly mailed me, anything. Of which they had all my contact information on file, and none of it had changed since our last point of contact.) requesting to be paid an additional $326.48 on top of the $1,300 that had already been paid for a $65 Diagnostics Fee, a $245 in towing fees. When I called them, seconds after getting off the phone with my father, telling me about the piece of mail he had just received at his office, the lady Missy (I believe that was her name/) in the front office FIRST, extremely disrespectful, unprofessional, and just downright RUDE! She had ZERO customer service abilities! SECOND of all, after telling her my situation and dissatisfaction of how the vehicle's engine had blown after getting it back from them with a clean bill of health and only driving it less then 10 miles, and how I felt it was only fair and appreciate if they could work with me in some fashion on this $330 bill considering everything I stated above, she told me they wouldn't work with me at all and the bill was due immediately or they would and I quote "call and harass my father at his office until the bill was paid" I'm a 32-year-old man, the cars owned outright by me, it's registered by me, and titled to me, why are you calling my father who beside dropping me off to pick up the car, had nothing to do with the vehicle. She also told me "that the car must be stolen" So again, I wouldn't recommend this completely at all, as there are so many other more knowledgeable, professional auto mechanics out there that would love and appreciate your business, theirs no need to deal with shady corrupt business like Heistand's. read more
