I ended up needing a crown, and they handled everything right then and there, no temporary fix, no waiting weeks for a crown. The fact that they were able to complete the entire procedure on the spot was impressive on its own, but what stood out even more was the quality of the work and the care behind it. Jackie and Dr. Rob were exceptional. They walked me through everything, made sure I felt at ease, and checked in constantly throughout the process. I have been calling for 2 weeks now and have never been able to get someone on the phone. I left a voicemail and couldn't get someone on the phone. Last month I had an issue with them charging me for a visit that I never scheduled, nor was I ever at their office on that day. And I was trying to call them to question why this charge was even there and they never answered my messages or my phone calls. I had to physically go to the office to talk to them about it, and they told me to just ignore the charges, because it was a mistake on their end. That was about 3 weeks ago, And I'm still getting messages about an unpaid invoice. Also, there is pain in my tooth after a crown replacement procedure , I have been calling, to get this issue dealt with before I get the permanent crown put on, but no one is returning my calls, I don't want to pay the money to go all the way to their office just to deal with something that could be handled in a phone call. My dental treatment here has been fine so far, I am confused as to why I'm having nerve pain after a crown replacement, when I had absolutely no pain on that tooth before the crown was replaced. But I don't know why this is happening nor can I get anyone on the phone to have a conversation about it or schedule a follow-up exam. Other than that my experience with the dentist here have been good. And that's really the only reason they're getting the two and a half stars. Because the other half of me determining if a business is decent or not is their ability to conduct business. Their ability to communicate and theirs is ass.

Before the appointment, Seida repeatedly assured me the office would submit a pre-estimate to insurance and only charge me my patient responsibility amount. After multiple calls with my insurance company, it was discovered Brighter Dental had been faxing the paperwork to the wrong number. The issue was finally corrected during a conference call with insurance and the office. Despite the pre-estimate being approved before my appointment, I was told by Seida and Luca that I had to pay the full amount upfront or they would not proceed. Seida claimed no memory of the aforementioned conference call, and I had no choice but to pay or remain untreated and in pain. At my follow-up appointment, insurance had already paid the claim electronically, but the office delayed reimbursing the overpayment and gave conflicting timelines for a refund. They also refused to refund the original credit card and insisted on mailing a check instead. After repeated vague promises and no reimbursement, I was forced to dispute the charge with my credit card company. Due to their refusal to honor the insurance allowed amounts, I overpaid by several hundred dollars. I later received a threatening letter accusing me of fraud because of the charge dispute, even though the office had still not refunded the overpayment at the time of the dispute. This was a disturbing experience.

Please stay away from this office!…read more I called the office in August about a bump on my jaw it was a bit painful and I wasn't sure what it was so I called the dentist to see if they should do X-rays. They said I need to go to urgent care for that. I go to urgent care, they find nothing wrong, I go to my primary doctor they find nothing wrong. Months later it is still there, I have a routine cleaning. They tell me I need a root canal and the bump is from a root canal. They went ahead and quoted me thousands of dollars and made an appt for me with the endodontist for this to happen. I thought this was strange, so I wanted to go see an endodontist somewhere else to get a second option. So I head over to aspen dental, the endodontist took X-rays and a quick check, and said nothing is wrong but it looks like you have an overdue filling that caused your gums to swell. Chicago dental was going to preform a completely unnecessary procedure on me. I told them there is a filling I need done, they saw the images and filled it. I'm not sure if it's a money scan or truly a lack of knowledge. They cost me thousands of dollars telling me in the first place the bump I had was nothing they could deal with when in reality it was just an overdue filling. The front desk staff is very unknowledgeable and never should have let this situation happen.

I don't ever get uncomfortable or really feel any pain during a normal cleaning so this in itself was unusual. Jody's response was - "Oh so you DON'T want me to get the tartar out" in an extremely rude tone! Is that seriously how they talk to a patient here? This was just one of many examples. When the dentist came in, I was ready to let him know my experience but Jody was still hovering behind so I decided to write this review instead. I've never been treated like this at a dentist office and I really expected better from a place with so many 5 star reviews. Jody needs some serious training.
