amazing date night at the beacon!…read more happy hour / sunset is the best time to come. make your res a couple weeks out and sit outside for the best view! they have two outdoor areas - one on a covered but open-air patio, and one truly outside -- covered is best in case of rain. free valet parking... don't bother attempting the lot on a weekend. service was great! the bread is superb. warm, soft, buttery, flaky sea salt... cocktail shrimp are ENORMOUS and $2 each is the best deal in town. burrata and grilled fish sandwich were perfect. our star of the night was the key lime pie. MUST try! a great experience and would happily come back!

What a wonderful experience we had at The Beacon. Reading some reviews here, I was struck by what…read moreappeared to be some oddly negative reviews about the food, portions and prices. When we arrived, as requested we were seated outside with a beautiful, front row, unobstructed view of the sun setting on the Jupiter lighthouse. The food was nothing short of excellent. We started with the Burrata Caprese and the fish bites, then followed with the Yellowfin tuna Veracruz and the Cioppino Capellini. I tasted the tuna and enjoyed the cioppino myself and they were both substantially-sized, downright flavour bombs and beautifully plated. The cioppino in particularly nailed the balance of spice to create intrigue without approaching the point of overwhelm. They also managed to omit calamari on request, which I suspect wasn't easy. My companion ordered a hot tea with dinner as it was a bit chilly as the sun receded and this was forgotten. It was no problem but after asking the server to forget it as it was no longer needed, we were bombarded with apologies, offers of complimentary dessert and champagne. All were entirely unnecessary but appreciated. We accepted a single order of key lime pie to go, which I have yet to eat but is mouthwateringly presented. As we chatted with Anthony our server, we came to realize he was pushing through a particularly challenging service, but you'd never have known as he was absolutely delightful throughout. He was a high point. Admittedly, we are sober and while we did enjoy a couple of delicious mocktails, this does reduce the cost of a dinner out. I mention this because there was nothing untoward about the pricing of the foid we ordered, which was excellent. We all need to be more realistic about the actual costs of food and service. I will return to the Beacon for a special occasion in a heartbeat and would be delighted to be served by Anthony again. He was attentive, without being overbearing and simply fun. Note: the manager was also circulating, checking carefully on everyone's experience, including topping up water and the like. I also received a follow-up email before getting home, which was impressive. In summary? Excellent food, for the prices charged or any other and attentive, friendly service in a gorgeous setting. Compliments and thank you for a memorable experience to the whole team, front and back of house!

We made a 8pm reservation and arrived a few minutes early, so we grabbed some wine and headed outside. For some reason, the bartender wasn't friendly at all towards our group, but I'm letting that slide. Anyway, when we sat down, they immediately brought us a bread basket that included their homemade focaccia bread and butter, which was wonderful. For appetizers, we split their meatballs and their zucchini fritters. The fritters were incredible. The dishes looked huge, so we split two dishes between the four of us. The chicken francese had a ton of flavor, it did taste like an old school NY/NJ spot. It was 100% on point. After our meal, they gave us a bit of lemoncello and homemade Italian cookies, which were fabulous! Service was good too. (Please note, it's beer and wine only). Also, there isn't much of a bar, (we weren't sure before we arrived). Had a great experience though!

We ordered calamari and meatballs as our app and neither knocked our socks off. The meatballs needed more sauce / flavor. The calamari does come with peppers. We got the branzino special and that was the only thing special about it. Our waiter was amazing and very friendly. The best thing we had all night were the cookies. This is not an old school red sauce Italian type place if that is what you are looking for. Overall I'm not sure we would return because it's not our style.

The Hungry Poet is back baby!! (I love being Yelp Elite…read more I've just been busy!) "The Salty Zebra blew me away, The Black Grouper entree made my entire day. The burger was seasoned and the patty was fat, But those home made desserts....whooo that's where it's at!" This meal/dining experience brought me to Yelp immediately. I was excited y'all! The Salty Zebra (picked it b/c of good reviews and proximity to Barnes and Noble in Tequesta) They cover the basics extremely well: greeted with kindness and professionalism, seated promptly, and approached immediately by a wonderful server. I won't spend time here just know you will not be disappointed with the service and it was beyond pleasant. Apps Burgundy Escargot (Pernod Garlic-Parsley Butter) We asked for a recommendation from the appetizer section of their menu (perfect amount of selections by the way...I despise an encyclopedic menu). We were thinking escargot and we were so pleased that it was recommended...that sealed the deal. It was garlicky and buttery and served with the perfect white bread. Spot on. Entrees were freaking fantastic! Florida Black Grouper (Creamed Kai Kai Farms Mustard Greens, Colab Farms Glazed Carrots, Carrot Marmalade) I never order grouper. I go out of my way to order it because I don't enjoy white fish usually. Something spoke to my spirit (plus our amazing server highly recommended it) and I went against my natural inclination. Lawd have mercy I'm glad I did. That grouper was perfectly seared, flaky, flavorful and completed excellently by the mustard greens and carrots. I do t know what the sauce was in the plate but it was savory a bit earthy in the best possible way with a twinge of sweetness that made me want to lick the plate ‍ (hey I'm from Mississippi...we do that ). Needless to say there wasn't a morsel of food left in my plate. Other reviews complained about small portions. I beg to differ it was a perfect portion, and I have a biiiiig appetite. (I am the hungry poet after all! I enjoy experiencing three full courses and not being miserably full by dessert.) Bistro Burger (1/2 LB CBS Blend, Gruyere, Sweet & Sour Onions, Au Poivre Sauce, Parmesan Potato Wedges) Boyfriend got the burger. It was great--I am well loved so I got the first bite lol Patty was thick and moist and seasoned! I was impressed that they didn't stay away from seasoning with this burger. We suspect it could have even been prepared sous vide then seared because of how evenly cooked it was. Our server was even kind enough to bring ketchup for the potato wedges. Dessert LET ME FIRST SAY: the second dessert (chef's special) was complementary. I don't know why? Good karma maybe? Speaking of the chef... Chef Michael was working that dining room. ‍ He walked by our table and asked if everything was okay. Not realizing he was the chef we asked for a little more bread to sop up the escargot butter. He brought the bread out a few minutes later himself and was super polite. He introduced himself and I was impressed that he was so personable. He stopped by two more times to check on our entrees and desserts. I love an involved chef. I have a couple friends who are Executive Chefs in pretty swanky places and I love to see that bar being met. Especially as a Yelp Elite reviewer. You know how most people can't wait to write reviews when they're pissed. I can't wait to write reviews when my socks are knocked off. Back to dessert... Chocolate banana I love banana desserts. Some might be biased but this dessert was oooooooh wee deliciously special. I don't have the description because I think desserts change weekly/daily etc but trust me... GET IT! If you like bananas chocolate and caramel get it! Homemade S'more When I said made in house I mean it! The marshmallow the graham cracker all of it! It was rich and decadent and it blew me away. I'll be thinking about these desserts for a while. And again I don't t know what we did to get a free one but Chef Michael brought both out himself and I felt the "we go the extra mile" vibe. It was crystal clear. Sounds like I'm using hyperbole but I swear I'm not. Decor and ambiance was beautiful. Wasn't loud at all. Hands down a perfect dinner experience. We had been walking in the hot sun all day after this impromptu trip to Stuart and even in leggings and a T-shirt we felt comfy and welcomed. Thanks another review giving it to you straight no chaser from The Hungry Poet aka Elizabeth S. aka Lizz . Enjoy!

This time, I felt the need to rave about our dinners & the excellent service we received on Mother's Day. Not much has changed inside since our last visit & the restaurant is cute & clean. We asked for garlic rolls but were told they didn't have them that day, but let her check, & hooray! The pizza maker made them fresh for us! The baked clams. I LOVED them. A lot of delicious flavored breadcrumbs amongst chopped clams. Perfect combo imo. My spouse had the pasta ala vodka & let me tell you, he's a pure-blooded Italian & orders this often at other restaurants. He crowned Del Pesto as the BEST! I took a bite & agree. I kept it simple. Had the spaghetti & meatballs, which are huge btw & you get 2 of them. Since moving to FL almost 27 years ago, I've never been able to find the right spaghetti & meatballs. On Sunday, I finally found it. The meatballs are perfect & look to be baked. The spaghetti is just that, but the sauce is smooth & comforting & blends in perfectly. Such a simple dish, which I will now drive the 45 minutes to get my fix when necessary. This place knocks it out of the park. I hope the nearby residents appreciate what they have!

The service was terrific - friendly and attentive (but not hovering) and the food was great. My Burata was large and nicely constructed - and the Balsamic Glaze was perfectly dressed. The Grilled Romaine was delicious and interesting - with a nice portion of pancetta. Our mains were excellent - the Bucatini Amatriciana (a new item on the menu) was scrumptious. The pasta was perfectly cooked and the sauce rich and flavorful. The Grilled Salmon on a bed of spinach was perfectly cooked (most restaurants overcook fish) and quite tasty. Although not terribly deep, the wine list was broad and there was a good range of priced offerings. Overall we had a great dinner.

What can you say about Lynora's?…read more Yes, you'll wait for a table. Yes, the outdoor "waiting area" feels more like a friendly sidewalk summit. And yes, once inside, the volume level suggests that everyone is passionately discussing the superiority of nonna's gravy. You may briefly consider learning sign language just to order. But then... the food arrives. And suddenly, all is forgiven. It's authentic, vibrant, unapologetically Italian. The pasta tastes like it actually met a tomato. The sauces are rich without being heavy. The bread disappears mysteriously (no one at the table will confess). Every visit delivers the same thing: consistency, freshness, and that unmistakable "this is the real deal" flavor. And let's not overlook Wino Wednesdays -- 50% off bottles. That's not a special. That's a public service. So yes, you'll wait. You'll raise your voice. You'll squeeze past a few happy diners. And you'll gladly do it all again next week. Run, don't walk. Lynora's is loud, lively, and absolutely worth it. Tell them Bobby sent you, you'll be glad you did!
