Well I'm here to tell you they charged me over 4k for this and now I'm stuck with it, I hate it and if I could rip my floor out and dump it in their F*CKING lobby I would. The second was recently, when he put down vinyl flooring throughout the downstairs. The vinyl was an incredibly difficult job to make seamless because of the odd layout of the rooms and the uneven surface of the concrete foundation of the walls. But Eric made it seamless nonetheless. In both cases, the quality of craftsmanship set a new standard for what I expect is possible, and the price too was fair and more affordable than the other estimate I collected. Eric and Donnie from Paragon floors refinished our Kitchen, Dining Room, Living room, and hall…read morefloors. We can not thank them enough for the outstanding job that they did. They first removed the quarter-round from the molding, then vacuum sanded the floors using several types of sanders including the "trio sander" which smooths the floor. We did not notice any dust which was important to us as my wife and I both have allergies. Eric assisted in picking the best floor stain by taping off five two-foot square sections, then applying selected color and sealer. After we chose the color ("nutmeg") with the assistance of our interior designer Barbara Wirth the color sections were sanded off. Then the floors were stained, sealed, and two oil poly finish coats completed the process. It took about 5 days and required us to be gone only one night due to the odor. The next day we met at the house and Eric put a few finishing touches on the floor as we did our walk-thru. The floor looks like a brand new floor! It was highly worn and scuffed up before and had not been refinished for probably 15 years. My wife and I are super happy with the job as it matches our newly refinished cabinets and granite counter perfectly. The price was also very modest. Paragon also offers free maintenance recoating withing 5 years. We highly recommend Paragon for your refinishing needs. They are professional in every way. Paragon also has a private showroom which has a variety of finished wood floor samples. Check with Eric for showroom access. As contractors, they also offer steep discounts on wood flooring products which really helps the homeowner.

Very poor business ethic. Doesn't return calls or texts. Doesn't show up when he says he will. The…read moremost frustrating part of dealing with Eric at Paragon are his excuses for everything. He told us in January that he needed money and would be finished in 3 days so we agreed to pay him in full. After that he proceeded to start a new job and kept blowing us off when we asked when he would be back to complete the job. He finally started sending an incompetent subcontractor to finish some of the work and only after arguing with him constantly he would show up occasionally to do a little work. After about 2 weeks of this he just gave up and never finished the final agreed upon part of the job. That was 6 months ago. I think my only recourse is small claims court. Buyer beware. In response to Eric's reply to my review which was completely based on facts I would like to address 2 of his specific lies that actually constitute defamation by libel (look it up Eric). He stated that a: We were in the process of suing other people while he was doing our job. This is a malicious libel with no basis of proof. Provide proof of this alleged suit or suits as I have NEVER filed suit in my life against anyone! b: you imply that I defrauded a business by complaining about a scratch on a mantle in order to get an additional one. This is again a malicious lie that you knowingly state. The fact is you saw the "scratched mantle" because I showed it to you. It was dropped in shipping by fedex which broke(not scratched) the mantle. The supplier after I sent photos told me to dispose of it however I choose and shipped a new one because the damaged one could not be repaired. See photos. You have defamed me by libel on a public forum which is serious. I demand your immediate retraction of these statements. If your retraction is not done within 7 days I will seek counsel for how to proceed. I won't even bother responding to the rest of your nonsense as it is time to move on.
