I have made an appointment with a general surgeon to have the epidermoid cyst removed. After your I&D there was no reduction in size and it is like I did not see you at all. Please send the results of the culture as soon as you get them. Sir, your bedside manner is non-existent. You lack compassion and you don't LISTEN to patient feedback. You administered 1% Xylocaine with Epinephrine. You did not wait even a minute before making an incision. The pain was severe. You minimized my complaint, telling me I was feeling "pressure" and not pain. Sir, I have had more procedures with local anesthesia than I can count. That includes oral surgery for a root extraction, bone graft and gum closure 4 weeks ago. Also Mohs S-plasty on June 18, 2024. I felt pressure but never pain. What I felt in your office was PAIN! Do not EVER dismiss a patient's feelings or feedback. I will have my other skin care needs attended to by a dermatologist in Florida when I get there. My advice to you, based on my experience and based on the comments left by other patients is to reassess what you do for a living, why you do it and if you cannot become more engaged, more empathetic and more communicative, stop practicing. If by chance you do schedule an appointment at this location, I recommend you to show up a MINIMUM of 45 minutes after your scheduled time or to leave your day open. Not one of them could diagnose her rash. This morning we were fortunate that Dr. Kornreich's office added my daughter to their schedule on a busy Saturday. Dr. Kornreich entered the examination room confidently and empathized with her, advising of the diagnosis, treatment, and what anyone suffering patient wants to hear "I will be here if you should need help with anything else." Even worse was that the breakouts were just getting worse as I got older. After so much time and money wasted with facials, chemical peels and trips to the drug store, I came across some research that made me realize that I was probably struggling with hormonal acne. In comes Dr. Funt and wah-lah! After carefully examining my face during my first consultation, Dr. Funt took her time to explain her findings (hormonal acne indeed). She designed a straight forward treatment plan and made sure to let me know that my skin was going to "purge" or get worse before it got better once I started my trentinoid treatment. She explained that it takes weeks to see noticiable results but to just stick to the treatment plan and promise that I would be very happy with the results in a few months. Three months in and wow! With Dr. Funt's treatment plan (that included both an oral medication and another topical cream I had never had prescribed before), and my dedication to stick to my treatment plan as directed, my skin is better than EVER! Dr. Funt then addressed the hyperpigmentation but only after the acne was under control. I went to him on the recommendation of one of my doctors. I have some Sebaceous Hyperplasia…read more(raised white spots, kinda related to acne) on my face that I wanted to get rid of. One the day of my procedure, his assistant applied a topical anesthesia. We waited for some time, maybe 45 min. Next, Bodian came in and started to apply what I guess was a laser to my face. It stung like hell, and I could smell my skin burning. When I told him it hurt, he was quite annoyed, saying that the topical should have worked. To proceed with the session, he suggested that I have injections of yet another anesthesia, but after a few painful shots and then yet more removal of the spots, I asked him to stop. My face was on fire for a few days after -- blisters everywhere. I tried Vaseline all over. I washed it off and then my entire face was puffy and sore. And then the scarring happened: small, dead-white scars (I'm a white woman, Irish complexion) that are permanent. And, outside of the Sebaceous Hyperplasia, I have had pretty beautiful skin all my life: stayed out of the sun for over 40 years. The strangest weirdness occured at the end of the procedure. I told him I hated the entire procedure: he told me that these "things" would come back and that I would be back to see him -- full confidence on his part. Bottom line: I have no idea why Bodian decided to do this procedure even when I told him it hurt and even when I could smell burning flesh. My flesh. My face. NEVER would I use him again.
