I finally took things into my own hands and searched for a reputable and highly rated handyman on Yelp. There were several options to choose from, but I was immediately drawn to Brian's business because it is locally owned and operated by him. Plus, I really liked his bio. I could tell he was someone who enjoyed his work and was focused on high quality outcomes for customer projects. Brian did not disappoint. Every step of the process was a good one. My first point of contact was through Yelp messaging. That's when I first knew I was on the right track because Brian promptly replied. Moreover, his communication skills were excellent from the get-go. He was able to fit me into his schedule a few days after my request. He arrived on time prepared with what he needed to do the job. Everything went smoothly, especially because Brian and I had reviewed the installation instructions through photos I attached to our Yelp messages. He was able to acquire the remaining needed materials that I did not have on hand. Brian clearly knew what he was doing and got the mailbox installed without any problems. He charged a reasonable amount and was a pleasure to work with. I had a great customer experience. I already have other projects lined up for him. This was our first project with Lee and Finest Fix…read more I sent out a quote request via Yelp Projects and Lee got back to me on the same day with their rate of $95/hr + materials. I inquired on how long the job would take based on pictures I sent over, and he replied "an hour max, and it will probably be a couple screws and glue" Communication was OK overall. Lee contacted me on a Monday and asked for the address, email and phone number and asked about my availability for the remainder of the week. I didn't receive a response to my reply, so I had to follow up the next day. We were able to get the job scheduled for the same Friday and his team came to complete the project utilizing a lockbox we provided. I didn't receive any updates during the job, which probably would have helped the surprise of the invoice I later received that was $232.35 when I was expecting something closer to $100 based on our first conversation. Lee did promptly reply and let me know that they thought they would hit a stud but since there was nothing, the job was more complicated as they had to create the support. Overall, still a solid experience and I would still consider using Lee and Finest Fix in the future.

He helped me make sure I ordered the right doors. He picked up everything at Lowe's, and sent pictures before he left to make sure that I was satisfied with how everything looked. The job was started and finished on time. He provided updates and pictures. He also noticed that the overhang by the back door was askew. He pointed this out and was willing to fix that also. The weatherstripping on the back door had always been a little discombobulated. I did not mention this, but when I got home Phil had gone ahead and fixed it.
