Purchased a jeep from them and didn't see any oil leaking from the vehicle. Drove it less than fifty miles and found oil on my garage floor. $1,700 to fix. I believed they power washed it off so it looked clean before purchase. They wouldn't help with cost of the repair. I do understand that I bought the vehicle "AS Is", but this seems like deception to me. When I got there, I looked underneath and saw the front axle leak. I never took it to a mechanic, as you are aware of. You brought it to your mechanic to get it repaired as part of our deal. Update: Two months Later: I contacted them to let them know I called the DMV inquiring about why my license plate had not been delivered yet, and told them that the DMV has not received their report of the vehicle being sold yet. Their reply: "I'm waiting for the title from America first. Should be here any day. Delays like this are abnormal. We've struggled with the previous owner of the jeep for her cooperation. I'll have a better update tomorrow." My Reply: "Thanks, I feel like you should have been on top of this, but now you are because I bring it to your attention. I'm just a little frustrated that I am driving a Jeep that I could get a ticket because the registration isn't correct." Their Reply: "how about you bring that Jeep back and I'll give you your money back" My Reply: "that's not possible, I put too much money into it to fix it so it can work correctly" Their Reply: "it's either patience on your part or unwind the deal" My Reply: "well, do you think two months after the deal has been signed is being patient enough?" Their Reply: "Bring it back" My Reply: "no, I'm not doing that. Like I said, I poverty spent and invested money into this vehicle, like the oil leak." So they're answer for not doing their job correctly is bring it back after I've already spent $2,500 plus on this vehicle. read more

Scam AF. Stay away. Bought a car from them. Seemed too seamless and too good to be true. Things looked good enough on a test drive. Defrost didn't work, AC only pushed out the center vents, check engine light came on the following morning after I took it home. Sunroof wasn't working (I knew that part) but then I found out the sun roof was leaking. they made me jump through a million hoops To try to get it to pass an emissions test, which that should have been handled by them before it was sold. replaced the catalytic converter multiple times with their mechanic jay's tire pros (They where nice but I believe jays is involved In fudging paperwork For soloman) They also had me on about 4 consecutive temporary PAPER plates (rear window had so much tint I had to deal with a paper plate on the outside of my car) then they said we can't get spend anymore money on a temporary plate and had me driving around with an expired plate out of my control. I was lied to as to who had the car when it was not on the lot for absolutely no reason. Don't like liars, cheats and thieves. If they can't tell me the truth as to who is simply driving the car, how an I supposed to believe any details about the car itself. Really poor professionalism. Buyer beware. read more

The experience last Monday itself was very quick and seamless. Jason was very helpful and we wrapped up everything within prob only 30 min. My frustration is that 12 miles after driving it off the lot the check engine light came on as did the TPMS light for my tire pressure soon after. The check engine is an O2 sensor which costs $275 (it's been reset and confirmed). The back left tire loses pressure over a couple of days. When I purchased the car I was told the battery had been replaced so that's why everything was reset and I had towx all Honda themselves to enable the stereo. I have a hard time believing it's just coincidence that after 120,000 miles that O2 sensor kicked on for the first time ever 12 miles later. The listing mileage and the mileage when I bought it was 300 miles difference. Really?? For 300 miles and two months it's been driven by the dealer and the check engine never came on? Same with the TPMS. Leads me to think they disconnected the battery to get it to shut off enough to get through a test drive and sale. Lastly after signing the papers I learn the vehicle only came with the grey valet key. Really? No other cut keys and no keyless entry fob. I thought I was only given the grey valet key for the test drive. I had to spend $100 to get two actual keys cut and will spend another $40 on a fob (if I can program it myself, otherwise it's $110). So one week into this I'm in it about another $450-500 which I feel all could've and should've been addressed before hand but was mostly intentionally covered up. They certainly weren't up front and honest about it. UPDATE: Four weeks later I'm still working on this check engine light o2 sensor. $380 more into it and still ongoing. I mean, you can get the light to go off for 25 miles if you just disconnect and reconnect the battery. Oh wait. That's what they did while trying to sell the vehicle. read more

My wife and I had been to numerous dealerships before coming here this past Tuesday. All had been horrible experiences. Both of the previous places we almost bought at lied to us, tried to rip us off, the whole lot. Finding my wife a good "mom car" had been an absolute nightmare. Then, we came to Hedberg Solomon. We were very wary when we got here, because of our experiences elsewhere. They were pretty busy when we showed up, but we told them what cars we were interested in, and they handed us the keys and let us go take a look on our own! When we were ready for a test drive, they just took a quick copy of my wife's driver's license and we went on our way! When we got back from our test drive, we got super friendly and courteous assistance applying for financing. He even went the extra mile and asked a credit union to match another's great rate! Everything went through swiftly and easily. I didn't get the guy's name that was helping us somehow.. but he was the nicest guy, possibly one of the owners? We were in and out in less than an hour. And it could have been even quicker. We probably took around a 20 minute test drive. I would return here in a heartbeat. Don't listen to the other review, if it was so bad to leave a 1 star review, don't you think he'd be a little more specific as to why HIS experience was so horrible? Next time I need a car, I will be checking here first. read more

I called on Friday around 4pm inquiring about two separate vehicles. And was told that they weren't on the lot. So I asked if the trucks would be there on Saturday and was told that they would be after he made a few calls. Then he said if you don't hear from me the trucks would be there. I didn't get a call back. So we drive from Draper to Bountiful to look as the trucks. When we get there the trucks are nowhere to be seen. We go inside to ask about the trucks and was told that the owners are driving them and they aren't around one was in St. George. No chance it would have been there. What a joke. The two nicest trucks they have to sell and they aren't on the lot. Don't waste your time going here. A little communication goes along way. read more

I went to check out a 2015 Acura MDX with 41k miles. I called to confirm the vehicle is available and it was. I drove from SLC to Bountiful and pulled in to the so called dealership. It's really a tiny shack and some cars for sale. They had lots of Acura MDX and Honda pilots. While I was waiting for them to pull the car around I walked by and saw the terrible quality of their cars. Terrible paint jobs that cover headlights, window mouldings, tail light edges and door handles and so on. I could not believe these cars showed no accidents on car fax or auto check. The fenders and doors don't even align. Unless you want to buy a used car that's been put together by a minimum wage guy who does not care about quality, stay away from these guys. All their cars are wrecked and put together badly. After inspecting the car I went to see and seeing the condition, I did not even want to test drive it. I gave the keys back to the sales guy and left. They specialize in buying wrecked cars and putting them together horribly. Look close at the door and fender gaps and you will notice all the over spray and the mismatched colors on the vehicles. Need less to say I would not buy anything from these guys ever. read more

I haven't bought a car in almost a decade. I prefer to buy a car outright and keep it for a long time. So it was with deep distaste that I realized it was time to buy a new car. I looked at several local places which all seemed to have vehicles that were theoretically the same specs but were just of lesser quality; the cargo areas were scratched up, the rear seat area looked as if a large dogs toenails had gouged up chunks, they smelled of patchouli or smoke. Hedberg had good quality vehicles at a reasonable price. They were relaxed about our time with the cars and test drives. They were low pressure in their sales, but did give me a good comparison with dealer fees when I showed them the listing for the other car I was interested in. There was a problem with the DVD player which they took to be fixed as I was talking with them before any deal had been struck. They clearly wanted to make sure they were selling well maintained vehicles. The price I paid was reasonable and will inline with the cars value. I actually feel like I got a good deal compared to other dealerships and KBB. I'm happy with my purchase (the plates arrived today!) and would happily do business with them again. read more
