I was looking for a very specific automobile and had only ever driven by Kentson in Bountiful, but…read morenever stopped or called until a couple months ago. These guys are great. Super low pressure, lots of great inventory and I LOVED that they let me test drive by myself. I was able to try out lots of cars and felt comfortable giving them a real test drive as opposed to feeling held back by having the salesman with me. I got fantastic service from James and Mark, true apostles of great service. I will be back to Kentson in the future I'm sure.

If you're considering buying from Kentson, get everything in writing before making the trip--the…read moreexact stock number, advertised equipment, negotiated price, trade terms, and financing details. For a dealership that puts so much emphasis on its awards and reputation, I expected considerably more attention to detail, consistency, and accountability throughout the process. I went into Kentson wanting to buy the truck. My frustration isn't about $1,000 or a few hundred dollars in trade equity--it's about communication, accuracy, and honoring what was discussed. I called about a specific F-150, provided the stock number, and negotiated a price over the phone. When I arrived, they showed me a completely different truck that I had asked about the week before. The dealership reviewed the recorded call, acknowledge a mistake and claimed it a misunderstanding, and apologized, but still would not honor the negotiated price on the correct truck. They eventually offered it for $1,000 more than what we had agreed on. The other truck they showed me was also missing several options their website claimed it had, which made me question the accuracy of their listings. Before agreeing to purchase the correct truck, I had concerns about some of its early service history. The dealership couldn't explain why the services had been performed, so I tracked down the previous servicing dealership myself, called them, and got the answers I needed to feel comfortable with the vehicle. I did all the legwork to get those answers, and I was even asked to let them know what I found... Insane that the customer has to do this. I would think a salesman would do anything to get answers for a customer in order to secure a sale. Before leaving my first visit, I specifically stated that I did not want the positive equity from my trade applied to the new loan. Nothing was said about the dealership being unable to do that. After I researched the vehicle myself, confirmed the trade value and OTD price, and was on my way back to purchase the truck, I was suddenly told, "We don't do that." I called back, and during a recorded phone call the salesman confirmed that we had previously discussed the positive equity. He then tried to characterize our earlier conversation as him saying he would "look into it," which is not how that conversation occurred. After multiple previous mistakes had already been acknowledged, this only added to my frustration. Any one of these issues by itself could have been an honest mistake. My problem is that the mistakes kept happening, even after conversations were reviewed, acknowledged, and confirmed. I understand that mistakes happen, and I appreciate an apology when one is warranted. However, good customer service is more than apologizing after the fact or saying you're committed to providing a great experience. It's making sure the information is accurate, clearly communicating your policies, following through on what was discussed, and taking ownership when something goes wrong. In my experience, there were multiple opportunities to do that throughout this process, and they were missed.

There were…read moresome minor things wrong with it that weren't disclosed (like no shocks!) but I have been moderately happy with the truck. NOT HAPPY WITH THE DEALER. They offered a promotion that month of free tires for life. I just tried to redeem that promotion as it has been over 4 years and tires need replacing. They WILL NOT HONOR IT. They said there were some changes in ownership and they simply cannot honor the promotion. Not the way to do business in my opinion. Who doesnt honor that. I have a simple contract that I will try and get enforced. Not happy.

I feel I have to post a one star review now to accommodate the hidden fees that they did not tell me about and only did I find out I was spending easily $3k in bull shit fees. Optional gap coverage was almost $1k Rust prevention was $999 for real what do they even do for that? They didn't even wash the undercarriage I've got pictures to prove it Theft protection was $800 Thankfully I didn't spend any money on extended warranties I feel like I bought a bunch of nothing this dealership doesn't care about you and I won't buy from a dealership again When I try calling the dealership they say they will get back with me and they never do, they don't have any helpful phone numbers on there website. I'm going to have to go in to the dealership to talk to the right person. Carson Babbitt was our finance manager that snuck in the hidden fees. They are missing out on way more money in lost business than they gained with my deal. Any one I can talk to or anywhere I can post about TruckWorld will hear my negative experience. It's wrong to sell a product that doesn't exists. It's wrong to include add ons that I didn't ask for. It's wrong to sneak them onto paperwork without any sort of notice. Taking advantage of customers will lose more business and ultimately more money in the long run. You guys are crooks and I hope you try to get my business back and make things right so I can post more positively.

I believed they power washed it off so it looked clean before purchase. They wouldn't help with cost of the repair. I do understand that I bought the vehicle "AS Is", but this seems like deception to me. When I got there, I looked underneath and saw the front axle leak. I never took it to a mechanic, as you are aware of. You brought it to your mechanic to get it repaired as part of our deal. Update: Two months Later: I contacted them to let them know I called the DMV inquiring about why my license plate had not been delivered yet, and told them that the DMV has not received their report of the vehicle being sold yet. Their reply: "I'm waiting for the title from America first. Should be here any day. Delays like this are abnormal. We've struggled with the previous owner of the jeep for her cooperation. I'll have a better update tomorrow." My Reply: "Thanks, I feel like you should have been on top of this, but now you are because I bring it to your attention. I'm just a little frustrated that I am driving a Jeep that I could get a ticket because the registration isn't correct." Their Reply: "how about you bring that Jeep back and I'll give you your money back" My Reply: "that's not possible, I put too much money into it to fix it so it can work correctly" Their Reply: "it's either patience on your part or unwind the deal" My Reply: "well, do you think two months after the deal has been signed is being patient enough?" Their Reply: "Bring it back" My Reply: "no, I'm not doing that. Like I said, I poverty spent and invested money into this vehicle, like the oil leak." So they're answer for not doing their job correctly is bring it back after I've already spent $2,500 plus on this vehicle.
