I work up the street from this location and asked for 1 bag to be set aside for me to be picked up on my lunch and was told "no that's not fair to everyone else"... The bag was for my 93yr old father, to keep his walkway clear when I take him to Roswell... I will never spend a penny in any of these stores again! Totally ridiculous!

However, there are tables of boxes of different sizes and then in the same table there are open packages of items. Most boxes aren't marked with what's inside of them. The only way to find out is to take the boxes to a counter where staff will open them for you. I understand that people are careless and probably leave things a mess. But if this is the only way to see what's inside the box, why wouldn't they take the time to actually write what is inside of the box before you take it over? I walked past so many items that probably were great, but I really did not want to stand in line and wait for their staff to open up every box. The pricing leaves something to be desired as well. I understand that there are discounts according to the day, but you would go in on a Thursday and get the items for $.50, and on a Friday the exact same items are $12? Seriously? I know many people enjoy this kind of store but I can honestly say this is not for me.

It felt kinda like a rummage sale. Most items seemed to be returns to Amazon. There was also an area with appliances and limited furniture. I didn't check those prices. Merchandise changes every week. Prices drop daily until Wednesday and the cycle start over again on Friday. Hector's has been my "go to" store for everything I need to fix something for 25 years if I am serious about getting what I need quickly and as efficiently as possible. They pack an enormous amount of useful items in comparatively smaller stores than Home Depot, Lowes or even Valu but you don't feel you are in "cluttered" stores. Everything is kept organized so you can find things quickly. They hire people that know exactly what you need and if they don't they are not afraid to ask the senior staffer. I have never left a store without either the exact item or items I need to complete the task or the knowledge to go exactly where I need to for whatever I am searching for that day. I do still visit the big chains for sale items on occasion but I feel when I go into those stores there is sensory overload with all the items and sheer size of the that I many times forget what I went there for in the first place!! The other thing that drives me to madness is the inability to find somebody to ask a question in the area I am looking. Sure I can find somebody for a question I have about some electrical project but I usually have to walk to the other side of the store before I find somebody and then that guy has to put a call out on the radio to the people who can handle electrical and maybe just maybe I will get an associate in the electrical area in 10-20 minutes. Go to Hectors for anything you need and I am sure you will walk out a happy camper in a fraction of the time it would of taken you with other places.

My mom purchased two identical rectangular…read morepillows from Room, both stenciled with the word "Buffalo" and the coordinates of the city (latitude and longitude). She gave one pillow to my dad and the other to me as Christmas gifts. Shortly thereafter, we discovered that the paint used to stencil the letters and numbers on the pillow was water soluble and wiped off with a damp paper towel. It would have been impossible to wash or even spot clean the front of the pillow case without also removing the stenciling. Today, well beyond the 14-day return policy stated on the receipt, my mom and I brought the pillows back to the store to see if there was anything we could do to protect the paint on the front of the pillow case (Scotchgard wasn't going to cut it). As soon as we walked through the door, we were greeted by an associate. We briefly explained our concern to the associate, and then without even batting an eye or even checking our receipt he apologized, stated that he was unaware of this issue, and immediately offered to exchange the pillows for other merchandise. We ended up selecting different Buffalo-themed pillows. Room offers beautiful contemporary furniture and home decor, and after spending time looking around the store and observing the quality of their merchandise, it's obvious that the faulty pillows were an anomaly and in no way typical of the products sold by Room. My mom and I were both impressed with this customer service experience and appreciate the attention we received.
