Wow, that is a lot of food, I mean a lot of food, especially the Mexican Fried Chicken. This is a really cool place with a great bar and lots of TV's for watching games. The wait staff was very friendly and quick. The chips and salsa were kept full and as a side not, I requested their hot salsa which they do have. It is very flavorful, not really hot, at least not like I like it. It LIKED it, the salsa was just it really hot. For some it would have been perfect. My Mexican Green Spaghetti was something I just had to try, and it was really good. The chicken was sliced very thin, almost like what you would get with Chicken Picatta. The spaghetti was in a very flavorful verde sauce with a cheesy sauce for the chicken. Also, the dish had Texas toast with it, and it was amazing. Don't ask me why it was so good, it was just really good bread. Three people could share the Mexican Fried Chicken, especially an adult and two kids. To be honest, it is really a massive amount of chicken tenders chopped up and put on a huge bed of griddled vegetables and Mexican style rice. The food here was INCREDIBLE! This is of the best mexican food I have come across in town. It's a little pricy, but definitely worth it. We arrived in Auburn late and many restaurants were closed or closing soon. Saw Hector's and decided to try it. The food was very good, the service quick & friendly, and the prices were reasonable. I ordered one of the shrimp dishes which was generous and tasty. My dining partner ordered a specialty, Texas fajita. It had skewered shrimp, a ribeye steak, shredded pork, chicken, and chorizo on a fajita platter. Accompanying it were tortillas & a plate of beans, rice, etc. More than one person could eat. All very good. If you're in Auburn & you want good Mexican food, go to Hector's. read more

Just skip it. It's crap all the way around. Is queso supposed to be cold ?! I'm having an issue with how it's still melted yet ice cold ?! Also the rice is ice cold- and waxy The staff is not friendly. Just skip it. I am seriously let down by the number of places to eat in this town, but that is not a problem of this place. Clearly you're still having a problem understanding your customers. 2. We asked for a cup of ice not a to go tea, because the waiter never brought extra ice as he was asked 3 times. Also I am not sure that complaining about a customer asking for a to go anything is good business. 3. I never cursed. I didn't even try and haggle the 78.00 ticket ( which was incredibly overpriced for what we got) I just said that it was not worth it and we were disappointed. I don't typically send food back -- especially with staff is as friendly as yours. 4. 2.00 for sour cream is insane - being that it's a staple for the type of food you serve. Also we asked for it 3 times before he brought it. And the lettuce it was on was wilted and rusted. Oh and PS the hotel we stayed at asked how was dinner I said not good at all. They asked where we went , and I told them your restaurant and they said oooh yeah - ya should have asked me first that place sucks. So do better. Authentic Mexican food with a large menu of options to choose from! Our waiter Angel was very attentive & friendly! The deep fried chimichanga was delicious & the rice was fluffy & fresh. The pollo con queso was seasoned nicely highly recommend. The chips were thin & tasty & salsa was seasoned good. The restaurant was very clean and open and airy. Because they just opened they are waiting for their liquor license approval (should be this week) they have a large margarita menu with every flavor & I can't wait to try one soon! read more

New favorite Mexican joint in Auburn! I love seeing how busy it is because they deserve it. The food is great, the service is great and the owner comes around and makes sure everyone is enjoying their food. I love the Chicken Soup! Such a comfort food for me and I pour the "house" hot sauce in it for kick! GET THEIR HOUSE HOT SAUCE! I wish they would bottle that stuff up and sell it. It's so good! I wish they had a street taco menu section- with small corn tortillas, meat and onions/cilantro (like their food truck!). I was hoping for a good Mexican experience. Very bland very meh. I sat at the bar. On the positive side, the price point is very very reasonable. I had the Mucho burrito, which sounded really good but unfortunately that's as far as they took it. The guacamole was very subpar not a lot of flavor going on. The salsa was horrible And I rarely say that about salsa. In fact, I'm sure I've never said that about salsa the margarita was OK. I had the one with sangria in it. Probably the best thing going on of what I had. That's until I tried the hot sauce. It was very good.I actually could've used another container to make the burrito more flavorful.
