The host who sat us was friendly enough. The restaurant is spacious with the expected Mexican decorations. Our table was not clean, and the host didn't notice. I asked the next person who came by to clean it, and she was happy to do it. It gave me hope that this was a minor issue, and we'd enjoy the rest. Unfortunately, it was the least of the issues. The server kept forgetting things we asked for and disappeared. We never got a refill on anything. He came back and apologized, but it seemed disingenuous. We were happy to leave, and unfortunately, we might not return - at least until we forget about this experience. I ordered an horchata & it was fresh & delicious & the mug it came in was also pretty cool looking. My son really enjoyed his fried zero complaints there they had queso, chorizo & pico on them. My mom enjoyed her plate as well. My food was "ok" the meat in my flautas lacked seasoning & they were extremely greasy. I eventually selected the birria tacos, and they came out in maybe five minutes, hot, and accompanied by a nice bowl of soup/sauce for dipping. I dove in and forgot to take pictures, it was so good. If you've not had birria before, it's a meat cooked in broth. Then the meat is placed in a partially cooked tostada, folded and grilled. Think a taco with warm ingredients, instead for cold items put into a cooked shell. You dip them in the liquid the meat was cooked in, kinda like an au jus sandwich. It's great! Birria is originally from Jalisco, MX, (home of ranchero music and tequila, so they know something!) and was made from goat, because the Spanish gave the peasants goats.
