However, my previous dentist had sold the business to Wright Jacobs. I called and they said come in for an evaluation. Basically to talk to me and take a look. After looking, they said they couldn't cover the entire cost but would give me 20% off. The 20% off they quoted was the exact same price as full price at my current dentist. So I decided to stick with my current dentist. later, I got a bill for $80 for that evaluation, which was merely opening my mouth, looking at the temporary crown, and saying no we can't cover the entire thing. Seems a bit unfair to charge somebody for doing nothing. They never stated that it would cost for the eval. And then quoting a full price yet saying it was discounted.

We switched insurance several times, but we are lucky that her clinic accepts all our insurance. I also heard that she accepts Medicaid insurance, you have to make sure first they accept it before starting care. The clinic is clean, has a waiting room even a little area for small children and plenty of parking. At the back- there's plenty of spaces or cubicles to accommodate patients. There's plenty of staff to see to your needs so there's not a lot time waiting. While waiting, there's a television in the room to entertain a patient. I also like that they have office hours on some Saturdays, it's well suited to our needs since we all work Mondays to Fridays. Since I've been coming here I only saw Dr. Barth. I think she is the only one who practices in this clinic. I like the consistency of having the same dentist as much as I can since Dr. Barth seemed she can build rapport and quality care to all her patients.

To get an appointment I met with a new hygienist and Dr. Moreland for the first time. During the gum pocket check I was in pain the entire time due to the force used to pull down my gums. I've seen this happen before at other practices so I was prepared for what came next. "You're pockets are too deep and will require a deep cleaning. This will need to be scheduled over four (expensive) future visits." Ka-ching Ka-ching Ka-ching. They then refused to even clean my teeth which is what my appointment was for and for what I had left work early to accomplish. When a Dental practice is focused on up-selling versus patient care it is time to move on. My Family and I are now looking for a new practice. Very sad.
