I made arrangements to have a new furnace and a/c unit installed at 9am on a Thursday. Allegedly no one ordered the equipment so it was rescheduled for Friday at 9am. At 9:15 I hadn't heard anything and was about to call them when I finally get a call saying they are delayed at the warehouse due to COVID precautions. At 11:45 they finally show up. After working all day at 3:45 they leave and tell me a part was missing from the box and they will come back Saturday to install it. They also tell me the ac works just not the heat. No one shows up or calls Saturday. On Sunday even though they supposedly have 24/7 service no one answers or calls me back. This is not the way you treat a customer spending thousands with your company. Don't use this company. I know I won't. read more

Terrible service. They were late on 3 different occasions and had to reschedule twice. One time they came out to check/clean my furnaces because I am in their "club" (what a waste of money). Yet, they forgot I have two furnaces! Then he told me he didn't have time to take care of the other one. Yet, he proceeded to get into his van and take a nap for 30 minutes in front of my house. They always try to maximize what they can sell to you. It is ridiculous the stuff they try to get away with. Stay away from this company. read more

I had HEATWAVE on July 3, 2019 to fix two air conditioners. They were here for 2 hrs and said she needed to order parts for both. For the next couple weeks, me and my husband would call for the status. They could never tell us anything because the supply house would nor tell them anything. I've asked to speak to a manager but that person is never able to talk nor call me back. At one point, I told the girl it was 89 degrees in my house and I kid you not, she laughed! I gave up and had another company come out who diagnosed I both of them within a half hour and had the parts the next day Today is August 2 and still no update. I've called some days just after 3:00 and they are gone for the day. Not open on weekends. This is a SORRY company and I don't think anyone is in charge. The irony in this is that when you do get to talk to someone, they answer the phone asking how can they make you smile...uh how about close up shop?... read more

Very unexperienced and never treat their employees correctly or pay them correctly always looking for a way to make more money out of the customer than any other company I know I know because I work there till today when I was fired because I was not paid and wanted my money for the hours that I was owed all they know how to do is go to your home and tell you you need a new furnace or AC and they can guarantee you that you will have the worst installs you have ever seen read more

We purchased a furnace and air conditioning from Heatwave. The ac leaked into our house. Damaged walls and floor. They came out 4 or 5 times to repair it. We called another company and was told the unit was too big for our house. Called heatwave since there is a warranty on the units. They told me to call the company about it. I used Heatwave for some plumbing work a while back and they did a good job. But, very disappointed when I tried to get a quote from them for a 2nd sump pump discharge outlet and a whole house humidifier. Why? They sent over a kid that barely looks 18. As soon as he went in the furnace room, he went into a sales pitch for low/mid/high price humidifiers. He talked down the low and high end one, making it rather obvious that he stepped in the door planning to sell the mid-price one. For the sump pump discharge outlet, he seemed like he didn't know what to do. I told him, some neighbors have a valve they turn so in the winter, it goes out via a pipe to the back yard, rather than underground to the curb. He said he'd have to talk to the Village to see if that would be permitted by code. Never heard back from him. Got the quote for the humidifier only. Needless to say, I hired another company - Kulacz & Sons Heating and Cooling, Inc. from Peotone. I was very happy with their straighforwardness and knowledge of HVAC. For the 2nd sump pump discharge outlet, I hired Chambers and Sons Plumbing, also of Peotone. Very happy with the work of these two companies; disappointed in Heatwave. read more

Technician came out, told me I need a complete new AC. Was quoted $3800 to replace. I looked at the capacitor starting to bubble out so I had another company come out. They did a diagnostic, replaced the part for $115 and my AC is working great again. I wasted $88 on Heatwave to tell me wrong information and spend $3800 on something that didn't need replacing. I will never recommend or use this company. This was a simple fix and when I talked to 4 other companies they all stated the capacitor is something that is checked on any diagnostic check. read more

Heatwave put in an AC system in my home 3 years ago. From the beginning there was a loud screeching noise from the outside AC and they have no clue how to repair it. They've been here a number of times with no success. I will never use them again. Horrible. read more

A baseboard heating system that Heatwave installed for me malfunctioned 12 days ago, and burned up the wiring in the thermostat. I now have no heat in that room. I have called them half a dozen times with no satisfaction. read more

I called heatwave and had scheduled an appointment with them. They were supposed to arrive at my home on 12/22/17 between 10 a.m and 12 p.m. They showed up late around 2 p.m I thought no big deal these things happen I am just glad I did not have to work that day or it would have been an issue. Anyways the technician finally showed up at my home and we went over all the things I wanted him to give me an estimate for. The technician said he would put me together some estimates with a few options and that he would go over the pros and cons with me for them. The technician said that he would get back to me right after the Christmas Holiday but in that same week. Well here it is 1/8/18 and I have yet to hear from that company. I am sorry but that is not how you conduct a business by wasting peoples time and blowing them off. My time is just as valuable as anyone else. I was speaking to a co-worker about my experience with heatwave and low and behold they had the exact same experience with this company shocker ! If you value your time or have an emergency please save yourself some hassle and call a good company that values you and your time. read more
