One of the light fixtures I bought was broken (unknown to me) and they didn't even tell me until later that they went to get a replacement for me and didn't charge me for it! Admittedly they were unsure if they broke it, but either way it was nice that they took care of it without needing me to go get and pay for the replacement. In December 2025, I purchased a new furnace and condensation pump from this company for over $4,000. Just a short time later, the condensation pump stopped pumping water properly. I contacted Heating and Cooling Solutions, and they sent a technician to my home. The technician determined that the plastic drain tube they had originally installed was too long. They simply cut the tube shorter to correct the problem. Despite this being an issue with their original installation, I was charged a $129 service call fee plus an additional $150 for approximately 15 minutes of work. I called the owner, Todd, to ask why this repair wasn't covered under the warranty, especially since the condensation pump had just been installed by their company. Instead of standing behind their work, I was told that I should have been performing "preventive maintenance." I find it unacceptable to be charged nearly $300 to correct what appears to have been an installation issue. A company that installs equipment should stand behind its workmanship, especially on a recently installed system. Instead, I was left feeling like my concerns were dismissed and that I was being charged for their mistake. This experience has left me completely disappointed. I expected much better customer service and integrity after spending thousands of dollars with this company. Unfortunately, I feel these business practices are unfair, and I will not be using or reccomending Heating and Cooling Solutions again.

Your warranty isn't worth the paper it's printed on. Whenever there is an issue with your system, you will get a notification that tells you there's an issue, but doesn't tell you what the issue is, that requires a technicians visits which is $180 I recently had a panel that is under performing, which, after a technicians visit deemed to be a manufacturers defect. So my kick ass warranty should cover this right? Wrong! The manufacturer will replace the panel, but I'll have to pay for shipping, which is approximately as much as a brand new panel would cost. Also, I have to pay for a technician to install the replacement panel. So when the sales person sells you peace of mind that the warranty will cover you - don't believe a word of it. I have long recommended solar panels to my friends. I have also long recommended not going near this chop shop enterprise. They are Temu version of what a solar company should be. Project management is a joke. See my earlier review for that debacle. Product support is an even bigger joke. I wish I could give zero stars.

In addition, make sure all the permit is pulled with your municipal, along with the correct schematics for the solar panels, both were an issue here. After speaking with Adam Perri, Director of Windfree Solar, I was told, due to the workers were subcontractors, the destruction of my personal outdoor equipment and garage was not Windfree problem. All the woes, leaves me with the savings from the schematics of 77% savings, panned out to 18%. Monitoring for the solar panels based on the information I was given was a country outside the U.S., with no option to opt out of 3rd party advertisement. No thank you! Value=NONE!

At the time I asked Fred, the AP sales representative about an extended warranty. He told me to arrange this directly with Kohler. After the generator shipped from AP I called Kohler about the warranty and was told there is no extended warranty available for this model, and in fact the warranty actually began on the day the unit was purchased. When I called Fred to ask why he didn't say anything about the warranty start date he confirmed he was completely unaware of this but promised to call Kohler and get an answer. This morning Fred called me back and informed me according to Kohler the warranty actually began on the date the generator was shipped from the Kohler factory to AP, which was February 2026. He said he intervened with Kohler and got them to agree to start the warranty effective 9/4/2026 once I had it registered by an authorized Kohler dealer. Once that is done I need to call Fred back and he will call Kohler and have the warranty start date set to 9/4/2026. At this point I'll believe it when I see it! Effectively Kohler is making it difficult for consumers who buy from internet resellers in order to protect their dealers. I never thought to check on-line comments about the AP buyer experience. After looking at all the negative comments I just read I would never have purchased the generator from AP. It has been a major hassle!

Now, on top of that, they are also breaking the contract. The contract clearly stated that the monthly payment would increase by 3% each year. However, in addition to applying that 3% increase, they also added an extra $7.81 monthly charge without my authorization, violating the terms of the agreement. This company does not honor its own contracts and only looks for ways to take more money from consumers. I strongly advise being very cautious before doing business with them.

Initially, my rebate was approved for payment before ComEd went back and rejected it. Certasun had been trying to get ComEd to reverse their decision with no success. The main issue was the total lack of communication from Certasun, which the exec assures me will be changed. In order to make me whole, Certasun has sent me a check to cover the rebate.

They decided to refund my $1800 for removal and not pursue working with me since their service could not "meet my satisfaction." Expecting a response within a week is reasonable for any active business this size. If you read the review of others here you will conclude that I am not the only customer who has experienced lagged and/poor communication. I suggest you improve your support workflow in order to thrive in this industry. In the few hours that have gone by, I was able to get a quote and schedule service with another local company. Original Review Do not rely on this company for good customer service from the operations end, good communication or follow-up. They require you to pay an invoice before any work is done. However, when it comes time to schedule the service no matter how many messages you leave or emails you send, don't expect to hear back from them. Research and find another company (if you need work done expeditiously)!
