This is definitely a "You touch it, you break it, you buy it" place, so I kept my hands in my pockets and just looked. The Glass Market is a really an amazing gift shop with Steuben crystal artwork, fine art glass, jewelry, serving plates, goblets, fine crystal, and home furnishing items. You can buy the famous leaded glass artwork, stained glass sun catchers, little glass animals, flowers, and knickknacks, barware, fancy wine decanters, bud vases, and so much more. Wow, the selection was really impressive, and very fragile. Dad and I picked out a couple of smaller items, and I had mine wrapped and shipped back to Florida. In my case, I found some hand-blown glass pumpkins to use for Halloween decorations, and in his case he found a glass serving platter for my sister to use for the Holidays. He surprised me with a hand-made studio glass paperweight that depicts life under the sea. It is gorgeous, and surprisingly heavy, and it's one of my favorite possessions. The pieces we bought all have some small story behind them which we enjoy. Mimi's has been a godsend for us. Mimi's is conveniently located in downtown Ithaca, the staff is friendly & helpful, prices are reasonable and there's always something fun and funky to marvel at even if you don't take it home with you. There are a few prime meter-free spots, but bring some change with you in case you need to park on the street. The staff has tape measures handy, but if you're looking to fill a space at home remember to give it a quick measure to ease your shopping. Mimi's, at times, can be jam-packed full of good things and navigation can be tricky if you have mobility issues. Well worth checking out again and again in person and online!

I was scrubbing mud off of my white chair while they were bringing in the other items. They saw me and said nothing. As they were carrying the base of the bed upstairs, they smashed a chunk of the edge of an archway going upstairs. They were bringing it back to the truck and decided to try again. I later found out how they did it. I noticed part of the cloth was hanging down from the base and one of the boards that frame the entire thing, was split into two. There was also mud on my mattress that I had to clean. They were sloppy and reckless and had no regard for the situation. I also had to clean mud off of my walls and other things in my house. I didn't realize the extent of the damage right away so nothing could be done. Customer service is minimal at best. If you are looking for good service in any way, this is not the place to go.
