He provided helpful and compassionate training techniques that have proven to get her on a good path. He is very methodical in his training that was done in our home and neighborhood. He took time to answer our questions and was not dismissive or rude if we didn't understand or were not doing his training methods properly. He even gave us tips for our current dog. Long story short, I adopted my sweet girl back in December…read more DDRT picked her up from Denver Animal Control, where she was placed on a med hold. The paperwork specifically mentioned she needed a TECA surgery. When I asked the rescue about the dog's health they lied. Flat out said she was healthy with just a "different ear." No problem. When I met the dog she had an unnoticed open wound beneath her ear. Or so they say they didn't notice. However when it bursts there is *no way* to not notice that, as blood and pus is everyone and the dog would be howling in pain. Unless of course she wasn't kept indoors. They also said her teeth were fine. Another lie. When I brought up the open wound they said to take her to their vet. Eventually that led to a needed dental procedure. Poor things teeth were so bad and she needed many teeth pulled. Which should have been done w in the 18 months they had her, right? During that procedure I was told she needed a TECA surgery. They said they'd take care of it, busy she needed to stay in Denver. Since I was moving states they told me they'd take care of it and I'd get her back after it was done. It sounded fishy, so I said my sister would care for her. That's when Jaime's tone changed. She became hostile and I asked to work with different people as I wanted to care for the sweet dog. They eventually told me to fuck off and they were blocking me. So, I brought her to Portland and she's thriving post-op. I paid for the $5,000 surgery on my own. A few months post op I took a chance and asked them to pay for half. They actually did: but wow. What a deceptive rescue. Take a look at their tax info, barely any money spent on vet bills. While I'm thrilled that my pup is doing great, save yourself the hassle and adopt elsewhere.

I got referrals from my prior dog sitter, searched yelp, Facebook and nv pet websites for dog sitters in my area. They either lived to far for my comfort or charged way too much money for what I needed. Mary came to my home for the initial visit. I knew right away she was the one. She is super sweet with the dogs. I showed her around, we went over her rates and she provided some paperwork for the dogs needs and wants. She lives in mountains edge area so she does not charge mileage rates if you live near there and rhodes ranch is included.. Yippee! We went to our out of town trip and she provided photos each day. Fun stuff too! She took the dogs on walks and made sure they were fed and taken care of. She even caught my lab jumping in the pool to cool off after a walk. It was hilarious! When we got home our mail was collected and everything was in place. She left a log chart of the time she got in and left and what was done that day. It also showed if they were eating good, etc. She text me the night we got home to make sure the dogs were doing good. They were doing great, they were pooped! I definitely plan on using Mary again in the near future. Great service and in the Southwest!

Our family has been going to Blue Spruce animal clinic for almost 10 years now. They are under new…read moremanagement now. The old management team and doctors were the most amazing people we have ever encountered helping our pets. They were hands-on and genuinely loving and caring to the animals as well as the owners and they didn't overcharge or over bill. During the Covid season, our family had to put down one of our dogs. The vets were the absolute kindest and allowed us and our masks on to be in the room. A new team of doctors and management has taken over I am not at all pleased. They did tests on one of our dogs without talking to us first as to what tests would be done and at what cost. I walked out with an extremely high bill. I was told I could have a free check up in one week and they found something else to charge me for without even asking again and then wanted to throw a shot for $70 for who knows what and then more pills to take. They do tests and they do not tell you how much the tests are. I'm very disappointed in the direction that Blue Spruce animal clinic has gone because we really did trust the previous doctors.
