Heather is an amazing healer. Every session is an awesome pleasurable experience and her work makes a real difference in how my body feels. A while back, I was struggling with a lot of hand pain and nothing was really helping. I tried hand specific physical therapy, many doctors appointments and an array of other things. The only person who was able to make a dent in the pain was Heather. My sessions with her not only lessened the pain but increased my ability to use my hands in ways I need to. I feel very fortunate to have found Heather and to receive her healing energy. I also really love that she has online booking on her website and it's pretty easy to make an appointment. I also find parking at her location pretty easy. read more

Words can't describe how Amazing Heather is! This review is long overdue, as I've been to Heather several times in the past few years. She has helped me work through physical pain, and emotional pain. I've been to several therapists, and Heather is the only one that has been able to help me move towards improving and getting better. She is a Real Healer, and a wonderful Gift to our world. Thank you for all you do. read more

This is a review for her breathwork, Theta Healing, and neuromuscular reprogramming massage: One of my chiropractors recommended her. Sometimes you just have to try something to see if it works for you instead of waiting for science to catch up. After she became a classically trained massage therapist, she saw clients would tend to come back with the same issues. Her website says that led her to train in neuromuscular reprogramming and she eventually discovered there were limitations to that as well. Then she became certified as an Advanced ThetaHealing practitioner and saw improvement and sometimes the disappearance of issues that hadn't been healed with her other modalities. She also became certified in trauma-informed breath work facilitation. As she says, "I am not offering to fix you or your body, because that would imply that there is something wrong with you." If you want to feel nurtured physically, emotionally, and spiritually, this is your home. Unlike some energy workers, she led me on a meditation and then asked throughout the session if I'd like to experience specific positive things I requested and transmute thoughts I didn't tell her about but she knew anyway. I found that to be more effective than some energy work where I didn't know what I was consenting to. The three and only sessions I've had were also one of the three energy work sessions in my life where I felt strong physical sensations. While she rested her hands under my neck, my normally cold hands became so hot. At my third session, I asked to work on more physical issues. After her gentle muscle testing and bodywork, I experienced a week of relief from a daily physical issue. I had gone to a Jikiden reiki practitioner a few days before for that issue. I didn't try to reiki myself because I wanted to experience the effects of different practitioners. Now I know in my body how her breathwork is different from meditations and other modalities I tried. Also, I appreciated that she offered another rare thing: a chance to create community where clients could choose to meet in-person at a group healing. And, I was grateful that she was generous with her time and cleared the room energetically between sessions. The best way to learn about her specials or online breathwork classes is to signup for her e-news on her website. read more

Without a single doubt, Heather is one kind of a healer. As someone who has gone through quite a bit of things in life (that go without mentioning), I can say with the most certainty that she has helped me more than anyone with one deep meditation, which was something that allowed me to open up my inner-self and walk out as a better self afterward. I came in with absolute trust in her to relinquish my own fears and insecurities, and life has taken a full circle since then (in a better way). She is a great listener and someone who offers love, compassion, understanding, and practical help. This was an experience that I will keep in my memory. Heather, thank you very much for everything! read more

Heather is absolutely brilliant! I was dealing with some nasty sciatic pain on my left glute and was getting to the point where I was sick of depending on ibuprofen for relief. This is when I stumbled upon Heather's profile on Yelp. When I reached out and mentioned my problem, she was super quick to schedule a call and see me for a 60 minute bodywork session. I found Heather to be very understanding and attentive to my concerns. The first session itself brought me tremendous relief within 24-48 hours. It was almost like magic - the pain just automatically disappeared without any medication! I followed this up with a 90 minute session which helped aid the healing further. I would recommend Heather to anyone looking for some bodywork and massage, especially if you are in pain - she has magic in her hands! I would definitely go back to her again as needed! read more

I booked this appointment thinking I was getting traditional neuromuscular massage therapy, and I'm so glad I was introduced to this type of work which involved muscle reprogramming and energy healing. I did the 90 min session and I'm sure heather went well over our time. I was in a car accident wasn't sure how to get started healing and this was just what I needed. I've been having great progress ever since my treatment about a month ago, vivid dreams, pain is less, and I just feel over all lighter and refreshed. Thanks soooo much heather, I will be seeing you again! read more

Ninety minutes really well spent! Heather beautifully held safe space for me to: - ground myself to Earth and ground off all the noise and tension I no longer need to carry within - become fully present with myself - listen to my breath and allow it to breathe me - enter the state of deep peace and surrender. Bodywork is not always about working the knots out. It is an opportunity to Be More Present. Which is something that is getting harder and harder for people to access. Mind takes over... That's another reason why I love receiving massages. Thank you, Heather, I will be back! read more

If you're into hocus pocus massages then you'll love this place. I came in wanting a deep tissue massage which is listed on her own website. Apparently she doesn't do those anymore and only does 'neuromuscular reprogramming', which entails stomach palpitations and repetitive tests of resistance against Heather's hand. Weird, not effective, and pretty sure this is not grounded in any type of real science. I Googled it. It also made me extremely uncomfortable because I had no clue what she was doing and hated her rubbing my stomach like that. I know I should have spoken up, but there is just something about being nude and vulnerable that makes it so hard. I wrote Heather after my massage to tell her how disappointed I was. She actually wrote me a nice message accepting fault for not explaining what she was doing at all over the 90 minutes and offered to refund me the tip I gave her (don't ask me why I still tipped...). I accepted, but when I thought about it more, I really thought she should have given me a full refund. So I wrote her again and asked her for half of my money back. I thought this was only fair given A. She acknowledged she did a bad job of telling me why she was rubbing my belly and B. I told her I was very unsatisfied. This was when Heather decided to start ignoring me, so I think it is only fair that I share my poor experience with her both as a masseuse and as a business person. Trust me when I say skip it!!! read more

Heather is a remarkable healer! She held the space for me to heal and to go deeper inside myself with great compassion, understanding and insight. I am very fortunate to have found her!!! I feel totally safe and respected!! read more

I've been working with Heather off and on for a few years now and have seen her grow in her skills. This year in particular I've been going through some severe body pains in my neck and hips. Heather has skillfully been able to guide me through healing. She is knowledgeable about figuring out how your muscles are working together (or not working together in my case) and helps your body get to a place where healing can happen. If that weren't enough, she also has a talent for energy work and can help you get into a calm, meditative state which helps make you more receptive to the body work. I know that I am in the muscular health that I am in with the help of Heather's care. read more

This is my first massage during the pandemic, and I felt safe the entire time. While I had to get used to wearing a mask the whole time during the session, I still got to relax and enjoy the massage. Heather put a lot of thought and care to create a calming and safe environment while also delivering a personalized, professional massage, combining different techniques and making me feel truly relaxed. Thank you, Heather! 100% recommend!! read more

There are a lot of massage therapists in San Francisco. But what sets Heather apart from the rest is how calming, nurturing and patient she comes across. These traits are priceless especially for those in pain. Did I mention how capable she is on a clinical level? Very thorough and effective approach that reduced my low back pain. As a Doctor of physical therapy, she gets my seal of approval. read more

I am so grateful to have worked with Heather as a ThetaHealing and Massage practitioner remotely and in her studio and her talents are immense as is her compassion and dedication to her clients. She is very focused, intuitive and collaborative and asks how to best support her clients. It was also a perk to shop her line of body butters and I loved her check in with me a few days after. I recommend her services to anyone looking for a new approach and partner in their care. read more

I have been seeing Heather for a few years. Having worked at luxury sports facilities in San Francisco and trying multiple types of massages in the city over the past 20 years, I can hands down say that Heather's massages are by far the best Ive had. She is one of those few people who are just on another level with their craft. She gets to know you and always remembers the tiny details you might've shared prior that may affect your massage - from old injuries, to mobility issues and everything in between. I honestly cannot say enough good things about my experiences with Heather. I've brought my mum and multiple friends over to see her. Do yourself a favor and reach out - you will leave feeling like you're made of jello, and walking on clouds for days to follow. A really incredible treatment for mind and body. read more

Heather is an exceptional masseuse, which deserves 5 stars in itself. But I think her real power lies in seeing the big picture. With Heather's help, I've been able to make real progress on my physical and mental health. I went in with a problem and discovered many others that I wasn't aware of (good thing). First the thorough body exam and testing, which identified other problematic areas. Second the mind-body connection that helped me establish causes and effects. Finally, a holistic treatment plan that focused on both the physical and mental, as well as mindfulness. I am truly thankful for her practice and I would highly recommend her to anyone! read more

Heather's session is a gift that goes beyond the physical benefits. She is knowledgeable, kind and extremely personable. She is direct in accessing pain through careful muscle testing and incorporates cupping, stretching, aromatherapy and warm compress that feels wonderful. I walk away from each massage feeling like some deep healing has taken place. Thank you Heather! I look forward to seeing you again. read more

Go get a massage from Heather. Just do it. I went back for my second yesterday and it was unlike any massage I've ever had before. I had been having a spasm in my shoulder/neck and she did all sorts of gentle testing and movement on top of her massage to pinpoint exactly what's going on. Heather is incredibly knowledgeable about the mechanics of the human body and how everything is all interconnected. She is so thoughtful, present, and intuitive in her practice and I just can't say enough! She is a massage sorceress. Seriously do yourself a favor and book her ASAP. You won't regret it. read more

Heather is the first massage therapist I've been to (and I've been to a lot!) that truly takes the time to understand your needs physically and energetically. She understands that the body and the mind cannot be viewed separately, which makes her massages and Theta sessions healing and transformational. Heather is ALWAYS warm, present, and mindful and her space is welcoming and calming. I always look forward to my appointments knowing that I will walk out feeling lighter and brighter. Heather is a true healer and is living out her calling. Book with Heather, you will be in good hands! read more

Heather really knows her stuff! Not only does she help me with pain management and mobility for a spinal injury from work, she has done amazing energy work helping me to release past emotional trauma that is stored in my body. She is intuitive and caring, her studio is warm and inviting. I highly recommend Heather whether you have an injury, emotional issues, or just want a relaxing massage. Came in expecting crappy parking but I found a meter spot really fast and easily. Then I went inside saw a lady washing her hands and I forgot her name which is pretty rude haha but it was Heather and there were several rooms for various other kinds of therapy services. Heather had the largest one I believe. She had a very calm and helpful demeanor; you could tell she really wanted to listen to your needs. I came in with shoulder blade pain that seems to nag me from time to time and I thought I would try massage this time. Answered many questions and Heather got to work. I got the 1.5 hour mix I believe. Afterwards, my range of motion for my shoulder felt wider but the pain was actually still there but mildly better. It wasn't until the next day or two that the pain went away. Pretty sure I'll be back when I get it again. Thanks Heather! read more

Heather is a magic worker!! For weeks after a single massage with neuromuscular reprogramming I feel my body is still maintaining the aligned and relaxed state she was able to get me to. Not only that, but the massage was the most gentle, pain-free work I've ever had done. I always thought you had experience painful deep tissue massage to work out all the problem areas in the body, SO NOT TRUE! Sweet Jesus, what a relief! She was able to get my legs even (one was shorter), my back and hips aligned, decreased the kyphosis in my spine, and released my knots. All while being gentle! I'm impressed and a complete raving fan!! My body is truly reprogrammed and I understand what my muscles need from me to stay aligned. Heather's work is a must for anyone seeking to heal their body. Try her massage, it's the best thing you'll do all year. read more

Heather was great right from the beginning. Asking me detailed questions to understand the root of my discomfort. I felt very relaxed with her as soon as she greeted me. The massage treatment felt amazing with the pressure she used on my leg, hip and back. She even alternated with different types of massage (Thai felt incredible!) I felt the tense muscles that were very tight in my body relax and even noticed feeling come back into areas of my ankle that had been numb for a long time. I look forward to going back and healing my body more. The ambiance and aesthetics of the room were very calm and relaxing. I'm going to purchase her discount package so I can have this massage therapy more regularly. I felt so much relief from the tension, tightness, and pain after our session. Thank you, Heather ! read more

Every time that I schedule a massage appointment with Heather, I feel that awesome combination of excitement and peace. Here's why -- each time that I see her, she does an assessment of how I'm feeling in my body and listens to me talk about the tension in my shoulders, back, and hips. She then focuses on those areas, but - and this is the important part - she also tunes into what my body is saying in that appointment. She has found areas that I didn't even know were tight and sore, and in need of care, attention, and healing. In one particular session, she found that one leg of mine looked shorter on the massage table than the other. As we did some bodywork exercises, she helped me sync up my breath to the specific movements we were doing. She massaged areas that were so tight with such expertise & precision, and after this, we checked in & evaluated the difference and I swear I felt that one side of my body had grow in inches! I felt like she helped me unlock the stiffness and tension & I literally walked away more whole. To sum it up, I feel so lucky to have found such an intuitive, professional, and empathetic massage therapist. This has been a game changer for me, and I feel more empowered to stretch and take care of my body because of the discussions Heather & I have had and for her amazing gift in bodywork. I've seen other massage therapists in the city w/ great yelp reviews, but nothing really compares to Heather and her experience & energy. I'm going to continue to make it a monthly ritual to see her, and my body couldn't be more happy with that decision! read more

The first time you meet Heather, you'll immediately notice her really nice smile and warm personality. But that's just the tip of the iceberg! Heather is extremely gifted, very professional, and an EXPERT at bodywork. I was coming to see her because my shoulders, upper back, arms and neck were very tight. I also have restricted range of motion in both arms due to shoulder injury. She started by a comprehensive intake, went on to do some muscle testing, worked on my hips and my upper body and arms. Finally a massage therapist that knows how to work on my arms efficiently!! Heather has so much knowledge about the body, but what I liked most is that she really listens to your body, and always seems to know what's going to work for your body. She goes slowly - there is no rushing or forcing a muscle to do something it doesn't want to do, yet her work is very deep and relaxing. I felt so much relief after my session with her. She event went the extra mile to show me two stretches that would help with my shoulders. I highly recommend Heather if you are have injury, or trauma or for a relaxing and nurturing massage. Thank you Heather! read more

Love Heather's massages! She did neuromuscular reprogramming on a spot that causes me lots of problems/tension..and after one massage, it was 15% improved and after 2, it was almost 50% better...crazy! She's also a lovely person, who wants her clients' bodies to feel good and work well...this is evident by the fact that she spends longer on my massage (if she doesn't have an appt immediately following) when she finds a spot she wants to correct and it takes longer than expected. Book a massage with her now! read more

I am feeling such a wave of relief at having found Heather as a therapist. The last few massage therapy sessions I've set up in SF seemed destined for success...high reviews on Yelp, a seemingly engaged therapist and me just trying to relax into appreciation on the table... Only to get a very lackluster massage. ;( One that even my boyfriend, who is not professionally trained, could easily outshine. And along comes Heather! She restored my faith that there *are* massage therapists who use enough pressure (my biggest complaint of my last few sessions with others). She acted slowly, methodically, and wasn't afraid to tackle the absolute boulders in my lower neck and shoulders. What's more, Heather's energy was very compassionate and she communicated very well throughout the session. I have no doubt that if you're the type of person who prefers a more gentle touch in your massage sessions that she would be able to cater to you as well. While I don't attribute the facility a therapist works out of to the level of care, I feel it worth mentioning that her office, located in the Inner Richmond, is absolutely gorgeous. The lighting, decor, and scents all add to the relaxing effect of her magical touch. Can confidently say that I will be booking more sessions with Heather. read more

Went in last Tuesday and had my first massage with Heather! Parking wasn't too bad and when I got into the lobby you could tell the place was extremely pleasant and quiet. Shown to the room, Heather gave me time to get ready (I still didn't know what I was doing because I'm a rookie but she helped me out with clear instructions!) I'm just glad the session was fun start to finish. After two hours of the most needed and truly full body experience, I felt rejuvenated and left with a little pep in my step! Next day I was very sore and as an athlete that was exactly what I was looking for. The best way to describe it is my body's muscles are a little unbalanced but are healing strong. Almost like a brand new workout I've never had before. I feel stretched, stronger and more comfortable generally sitting and sleeping. I have a lot more work and I'll be visiting again for sure. I recommend it to anyone who feels like they maybe want to spoil themselves with an amazing pamper session. Or maybe you're like me and want to feel good as well as look good from a athletic standpoint. I could even recommend it if your looking for a personality that easy to work with because the custom experience I had was amazing. Thanks again! read more

Before I started massage with Heather, constant body pain and uncomfortableness was just a normal part of my life... UNTIL THAT DREADFUL DAY. I must had slept wrong on my neck, I couldn't even move. Crying over pain, I went to Heather to seek for help. She gave me a quick massage (20 min), which drastically lifted the pain in the neck. I made an appointment the following week to do a full body massage (60 min)... turned out to be one of the best massage experience that I've ever had! Heather can combine variety of massage styles/techniques, read your energy, remember your symptoms, and improvise the treatment each time. After becoming her regular patient, the epic stiff shoulders that I've had for over a decade is now GONE. It's so nice to have a therapist who'd keep an eye on the physical condition, and share the joy of recovery. read more

Hands down the best body worker in SF. I have been working with Heather regularly for 2 years. She is one of the most intuitive skilled body workers I have met thus far. And I have worked with many throughout the US! Heather is trained in multiple modalities of body work, at this point I believe she could easily teach our community deep self care, and how to move through our days in great alignment with posture and treating our bodies with much tlc. We run so fast and Heather has the skills to point out, where you need to slow down and realign - strengthen certain muscles, while paying attention to you, your energy and getting more in rhythm with ur daily flow. I am a big fan of doing massage, acupuncture and Neurofeedback regularly. And the combo with Heather, has brought results of pure joy, strength and loving my body bc I feel great! Her office is a sweet space, feels like coming home easy parking, what more could you ask for. Sending you all much love and take advantage of this talented one. read more

I would highly recommend Heather for massage. The combination of Swedish, deep tissue and the neuro muscular work were great to help me both relax and unwind focused areas. Let me start by saying that this was the most professional massage I have ever received. Heather's personality and demeanour is as warm and inviting as her touch. She took the time to ask me about myself, to see which areas of my body needed special attention and explained her approach before beginning our session. It was incredibly relaxing and pleasantly intense in my problem areas. The atmosphere is calming and the undercurrent of crickets in the music brought me back to my childhood nights in the country. Upon completion, I was given advice on how to care for my injured hip flexors in between sessions, which was very helpful. I would definitely recommend reserving a 90min session for first time customers, as it allows her to become better acquainted with your body. I'm thankful that I did and so is my body. I HIGHLY recommend Heather and look forward to coming back in the very near future! read more

I have had 3 sessions so far with Heather and all 3 have been beyond wonderful. She is very professional and on top of everything from scheduling your appointment to following up with your session. She is located in the Inner Richmond area which is very nice and quiet area that makes your massage that much better. She has mostly done deep tissue massage on me for my incredibly stiff and tense shoulders. It takes her a good 20 minutes to warm them up, but I appreciate he approach to it. She is soft enough that she isn't hurting me but applying careful pressure all over to make my muscles relax and change. I haven't got to try the Thai Shiatsu yet but I am hoping to try that next. She really makes sure that her clients are taken care of from start to finish. I can contact her any time and make appointments and even if I have had to cancel she is more than understanding and works with me to find a time that will work for me. I recommend all of my friends to see her, truly great at her craft. She explains what she is doing, yet is calm and allows you to relax.
