This place is kinda difficult to find, because the GPS led me down a side street. The entrance is on Montgomery St. But it's an office-type setting with lots of other businesses like hair salons, etc. But it's upstairs and it's just the massage room. Simon is great and very strong. My body was hurting and he went in full force because he knew what my body needed. He's very nice and personable. He's from France, and we had a lovely discussion about Tahiti. He's a master as his craft. read more

Unbelievable massage experience. I'm still in shock. I was only looking for a regular prenatal massage today and instead I got a whole body workout, realignment, drainage, years of stress and tightness washed away. My pregnancy has been very difficult. With months of nausea, swelling, bloating and many many sleepless nights. For the first time in months, I felt my muscles relax and the body did not ache. Thank you so much Simon! The massage was painful because my body is so tight and under duress, but it was so so worth it. I'm still in shock. Can't wait to get a few more treatments in before giving birth. Hoping it would even make labor easier. read more

Came here for a lymphatic massage since I had surgery and was still retaining fluid. I am so happy I did because not only did it feel great but I could actually see a difference! He was super professional, had a clean space and was on time. I will definitely be coming back. read more

Deep Tissue Massage with Simon - A Healing Experience I first met Simon 10 years ago, and even back then, I knew he was truly gifted at what he does. His deep tissue massage work is incredibly intuitive, precise, and therapeutic. I recently got into a car accident three weeks ago and came to Simon in a lot of pain--tight muscles, limited range of motion, and general discomfort. He approached the session with so much care and intention, targeting the areas that needed the most relief. By the end of the massage, I felt noticeably lighter, more mobile, and genuinely relieved. When Simon moved to LA for a few years, I was honestly devastated. It was hard to find anyone who matched his level of skill and presence. Now that he's back, I'm beyond grateful to be able to receive his work again. If you're dealing with injury recovery, chronic tension, or just need deep, effective bodywork--Simon is the one. Highly, highly recommended. read more

Simon is great! After a single session, he tends to know what muscles are ailing my body better than I do - highly recommend!

I booked an appointment with Simon at the Frenchy Spa for a 90-minute Cranial Sacral Therapy session. When I arrived, Simon asked me to wait a few moments, then welcomed me and explained that since I was 15 minutes early, we could start immediately and finish 15 minutes early. As the last appointment of the day, I was happy to accommodate this schedule. Simon asked why I had booked a 90-minute session. I explained that I wanted to ensure there was adequate time for observation or consultation, in addition to the actual treatment. I shared my previous diagnoses and explained that I was seeking help for vertigo, dizziness, and the anxiety associated with those symptoms. When he asked about my goals, I expressed my hope for some relief and valued his professional perspective. During the session, about fifteen minutes in, I began to hear Simon's cell phone message notifications. He did not silence his phone, allowing it to continue pinging and receiving messages. I found this distracting and unprofessional, but tried to be understanding. As a 70-year-old client, I expect a certain level of focus and respect during a therapy session. After multiple interruptions from his phone, the notification sound that the person calling had left a voice message, after ringing several times. Simon eventually stopped working on me and, after a brief pause, told me to sit up. He stated that he could not help me any further, that it "wasn't working," and that he would only charge me for an hour. I was surprised and asked for clarification. He explained that further massage would not be beneficial and abruptly ended the session. Simon then pointed to my stomach and commented, "There's your problem, you need to lose that. If you do, you could live to 100." He also asked how many calories I consumed daily. These remarks felt inappropriate and left me feeling embarrassed. I explained that I was aware of my weight and felt I did not come for weight management advice. Several times, he attributed his directness to his French background, saying people say I'm rude sometimes because I am French. I paid for the session and left, feeling hurt and confused by the experience. As someone with decades of experience working with elderly and disabled individuals through the Department of Public Health, here in San Francisco, I believe clients deserve dignity and respect, regardless of age, weight or your background. Based on my experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend him to other seniors. read more

Very good post op massages. Simon is very professional I would recommend to everyone and the red light therapy is amazing as well

Looking for a massage therapist for my husband dealing with upper sore back and some numbness in the arm due to his working conditions of standing all day sometimes for 12 hours. Yelpers recommended Simon and they did not steer us wrong. Husband loved his deep tissue massage and plans on returning. Five stars for Simon read more

I just had the most healing and deep lymphatic massage and I will definitely be back in a few weeks. Absolutely amazing.

I have known Simon for many years. To me, he is not just a masseur, he is a caring friend and he works wonders. As a professional therapist, he is skilled in many different healing techniques and there's no "routine" in his sessions. He figures out what your body needs to be worked on and he is determined to fix it. Different from many spa massages where the masseur/ masseuse rubs some oil gently and you fall asleep, Simon's session is a workout but it really makes a long-lasting difference. When he moved away, I tried different places but no one came close. I am excited beyond words that he is back to SF so I don't have to travel all the way to Palm Springs for treatment! read more

Massage or Exorcism? Honestly I'm not quite sure... I'm a former massage therapist and Simon showed me techniques I had never seen. He is wonderful, thorough and not a clock watcher. Generous with his time and his abilities. I feel 100% better than when I went to him. He is an artist. Just go! He's amazing!!! read more

Visiting Palm Springs for the weekend, I woke up with shoulder blade tightness. Found Frenchy on Yelp and was able to get in that morning for 90 min deep tissue. As an athlete, I have high expectations for massage and like very deep pressure. He exceeded all expectations. Having studied Sports Medicine in France, Simon is incredibly knowledgeable about how to lengthen muscles safely and comfortably and is highly skilled with technical body work. The space was also very clean, comfortable and relaxing. What a gem! Will 100% come back when I'm in town. read more

Simon is amazing at what he does, especially for the prenatal massage! He knew exactly what areas to go to and what needs to be worked on for pregnant ladies, I am definitely recommending him to any pregnant friends! I feel like I can move around so much better after seeing him, and my lower back pain is gone! The location is also great downtown next to everything. read more

I have had many massages but none have ever had such a positive effect on me as the deep tissue therapy Massage by Simon. The stretching and deep pressure therapy applied by this professional in a clean and comfortable environment is truly theraptuic and the reason I am now a repeat client. I highly recommend Massage by Simon - just hope he doesn't get so busy I can't get an appoitnment!!!!!!!!! read more

This review is long overdue. Saying that Simon is "amazing" is an understatement. If you are serious about treating your body right and treating yourself to a wonderful massage. .. this is the place. You walk up the stairs, to a beautifully decorated and well supplied waiting area before going into one of the massage rooms. You are greeted with perfect low ambient lighting that doesn't destroy your mood. You can also request bottled water. Simon greets you with a smile, except that you can't see it because he is wearing a mask. You can just FEEL the peace and harmony that exists in the space. Everything is clean and perfectly appointed. There are even bathrobes upon request. Today I had an hour and half massage masterpiece. Simon starts off very gentle but firm, you can easily communicate with him to request a different approach or softer touch or a bit deeper. Its absolutely no stress. I prefer to just let him do his thing. He has had so many years of experience and employs so many different modalities in his body work... I'm always blown away at the various techniques he uses... Sometimes I just don't know what is going to happen next but I always know that it's going to be good! I'm particularly impressed with his stretching of the body. It's nothing uncomfortable. It absolutely gets those knots and tight spots loosened up. Lately, because I'm sitting in front of the computer way too much, I have encountered a lot of piriformis muscle strain and lower back pain. I know that my posture in my office chair is probably not the best so I've taken to walking around 3 hours a day as an attempt to correct this problem. Also, properly supporting the feet inside shoes is critical. I'm finding that Simon's holistic whole body approach to massage therapy is working the best at curbing and treating these issues. Thank you Simon. read more

Just had a prenatal massage done by Simon, and it was amazing. The pressure was perfect and he was very professional. I will definitely be coming back throughout my pregnancy. The best massage I've had in a very long time! Highly recommend! read more

Simon is *amazing*. I was visiting Palm Springs for a couple of days and wanted a massage as part of my trip. I searched Yelp, stumbled upon Simon, and it was the luckiest "accident." I've had hip pain for years and back pain for months. I got a deep tissue massage, scrub, and cupping (the latter two for the first time), and--wow--I can easily say Simon is a master at all of these. I left so much looser, with no pain, and my skin feeling so soft and glowing. Simon is so friendly and attentive and positive. As much as it was a pleasure to get massaged by him, it was equally a pleasure talking to him (and I'm not usually a talked during services). The best part of all is that it's clear that Simon loves his work and views it as an art. He was telling me about his experience (there are some *big name* spas in it) and his training, and I had no doubt I was getting the best. I'll definitely come see Simon every time I come to Palm Springs, and will definitely spread the word to friends heading to PS. read more

Desperately needing my muscles to relax, I found Simon by chance through reviews when on a trip in Palm Springs. After one massage, I ended up booking two more by him in one week. They were all so blissfully different; Simon seems to intuitively cater to exactly what your body needs. Like many of us, this past year left me wound so tightly, and I hadn't realized it until I remembered what it felt like to relax (and get sunshine! Oh Seattle its been a rainy year!) I didn't even know what to ask for when I went in for my first massage with Simon, I just found that I melted into the table, and went back the next day for the hot stone massage with cbd oil. Wow. You absolutely must book this for yourself. There are no words. Going home I realized that my muscles actually felt relaxed, mind and body destressed...my stress had gone down considerably... my entire body has not felt that good in so, so long. I have tried to find a massage like this in the Seattle area for years, to no avail, it simply will have to wait until Palm Springs. It is difficult to describe how/why Simon knows just what your muscles need, but he does. Could not recommend more. read more

Simon is highly professional and an expert in his field. He listened to all my complaints about body aches and did a great job! At first, I was skeptical it's only good reviews on Yelp for him, but I ended up writing 5 stars myself. If you ever have a chance to book a massage with Simon - go for it! read more

Simon is the number one masseur in the entire Coachella valley. When you visit him in his beautiful new room at Salon and Spa 119, you check all your stress at the door. He is loving, caring, professional and beautiful inside and out. Book today!!!! read more

I had a prenatal massage by Simon during our babymoon trip. It was my first massage during pregnancy as well as my first time with a male masseuse so I was a little nervous going in but Simon made me feel completely at ease and so relaxed. I wish I lived in the area so that I could see him regularly throughout pregnancy. He knew all of the areas to target that I didn't even realize have been affected by pregnancy - truly felt like magic! Highly recommend for any expecting mamas. read more

I got a deep tissue massage and European style cupping by Simon. Massage was very professional and he got all of my knots out of my muscles. I felt so much better after my massage. My husband also got a deep tissue massage and cupping and also had a good experience. I would go as far to say that I would drive to Riverside county all the way to Palm Springs to get another massage from him. read more

I have had many massages all over the world but this is seriously the best massage/body work I've ever had in my life. Simon did a combo of Swedish, deep tissue, cupping and lymphatic draining massage in a span of two hours. There were love and hate moments because he really gets in there to work out the knots so if you're looking to fall asleep maybe don't get the deep tissue. He knew exactly where i was hurting and which pressure points to get at. simply incredible. He isn't the cheapest but I don't even care. I was a brand new person when I left. He is what I call "the body whisperer". Simon, if you're reading this, can you please consider moving back to the Bay Area?? read more

Vivian V. wrote the same review that I was supposed to write 3 months ago, finally coming back to write what is well deserved. Very few businesses live up to their 5 star rating but this one is deserving. Having spent the last decade in Asia, and been through different therapies for various sports injuries, I felt Simon the highest level of sports med/muscle manipulation type of massage therapy. He compares to sports therapists assisting professional athletes. He has mastered pressure points, anatomy, alignment, muscles, and recovery. He is versed in Asian methods such as cupping, and the holistic approaches. 9/10 massages get are usually disappointing, and I have to say I wish he would move to my city, because I've yet to find someone who could compare. read more

The real deal. This guy does not mess around. He is super skilled, intuitive, and offered a safe and luxe environment with air purifier, essential oils, and heated table. He is also a physical therapist and I suspect this helped him quickly assess and dive in to trouble spots. read more

My husband has NEVER asked me to leave a review but after his amazing 90 minute deep tissue massage, he did just that. The desert has a new and amazing massage therapist who hails from France and has made his way to Palm Springs! Simon is an extraordinary therapist who is exceptionally talented. I took a 90-minute deep tissue massage and was so happy with the service. He found every tight spot, knot, and sore area and, trust me, there were a lot! After the session, I felt like my whole body could breathe again and I was moving with a greater skip in my step! He is a very kind and thoughtful person. He checked to make sure the pressure was good and that I was doing well. After many successful years in the Bay Area, he has brought his skills to Palm Springs and we are so lucky! He is located in the fabulous Salon Jarick that offers many additional spa services. Full-timers, part-timers, and snowbirds will not be disappointed after a session with Simon! Treat yourself to the best! read more

I am on my fourth massage and each one has been therapeutic and unique . I felt comfortable and so relaxing .

High-quality services and exceptional customer service. I happened to walk by on the first morning of my first trip to PS, and popped in to pamper myself a little. Gabrielle gave me the best mani-pedi I've ever had in my life (no exaggeration); she was so gracious and thorough and had so much integrity about her work. Go see her! Simon, one of the masseurs, was so warm and skilled and professional. He recently moved down to PS after years of doing body work in SF; he gave me a very powerful deep-tissue massage, as requested, and hit the problem areas I'd outlined. Five stars all around; G & S are consummate professionals. I feel so strongly about this that I set up a Yelp account exclusively to be able to leave this review! read more

If I could give Simon from Frenchy Spa 10 Stars I would do it! His massages are the best I've had. Even his massage table is heavenly. Srlsy. It feels like you're floating on air, I'm tempted to peek under the covers to find blue skies. I also love the aromatherapy aspect to his massage. The room smells divine and he chooses wonderful essential oils to massage into your skin. Love it, love it! read more

Simon knows what he is doing when it comes to massage. He is an expert regarding the body's musculature and its trigger points. He applies the right amount of pressure and stretching, always checking to make sure it is appropriate for your sensitivities. And at the end of your sesion, you will feel not only refreshed, but aware of muscles you didn't know you had! In addition, it is difficult finding a nicer, more thoughtful therapist. And that French accent! Simon was trained in Europe where massage is an integral part of a healthy existence. We are lucky to have Simon in Palm Springs! read more
