Unbelievable massage experience. I'm still in shock. I was only looking for a regular prenatal massage today and instead I got a whole body workout, realignment, drainage, years of stress and tightness washed away. My pregnancy has been very difficult. I booked an appointment with Simon at the Frenchy Spa for a 90-minute Cranial Sacral Therapy session. When I arrived, Simon asked me to wait a few moments, then welcomed me and explained that since I was 15 minutes early, we could start immediately and finish 15 minutes early. As the last appointment of the day, I was happy to accommodate this schedule. Simon asked why I had booked a 90-minute session. I explained that I wanted to ensure there was adequate time for observation or consultation, in addition to the actual treatment. I shared my previous diagnoses and explained that I was seeking help for vertigo, dizziness, and the anxiety associated with those symptoms. When he asked about my goals, I expressed my hope for some relief and valued his professional perspective. During the session, about fifteen minutes in, I began to hear Simon's cell phone message notifications. He did not silence his phone, allowing it to continue pinging and receiving messages. I found this distracting and unprofessional, but tried to be understanding. As a 70-year-old client, I expect a certain level of focus and respect during a therapy session. After multiple interruptions from his phone, the notification sound that the person calling had left a voice message, after ringing several times. Simon eventually stopped working on me and, after a brief pause, told me to sit up. He stated that he could not help me any further, that it "wasn't working," and that he would only charge me for an hour. I was surprised and asked for clarification. He explained that further massage would not be beneficial and abruptly ended the session. Simon then pointed to my stomach and commented, "There's your problem, you need to lose that. If you do, you could live to 100." He also asked how many calories I consumed daily. These remarks felt inappropriate and left me feeling embarrassed. I explained that I was aware of my weight and felt I did not come for weight management advice. Several times, he attributed his directness to his French background, saying people say I'm rude sometimes because I am French. I paid for the session and left, feeling hurt and confused by the experience. As someone with decades of experience working with elderly and disabled individuals through the Department of Public Health, here in San Francisco, I believe clients deserve dignity and respect, regardless of age, weight or your background. Based on my experience, I cannot, in good conscience, recommend him to other seniors. read more

As a professional therapist, he is skilled in many different healing techniques and there's no "routine" in his sessions. He figures out what your body needs to be worked on and he is determined to fix it. Visiting Palm Springs for the weekend, I woke up with shoulder blade tightness. Found Frenchy on Yelp and was able to get in that morning for 90 min deep tissue. As an athlete, I have high expectations for massage and like very deep pressure. He exceeded all expectations. Having studied Sports Medicine in France, Simon is incredibly knowledgeable about how to lengthen muscles safely and comfortably and is highly skilled with technical body work. This review is long overdue. Saying that Simon is "amazing" is an understatement. If you are serious about treating your body right and treating yourself to a wonderful massage. .. this is the place. You walk up the stairs, to a beautifully decorated and well supplied waiting area before going into one of the massage rooms. You are greeted with perfect low ambient lighting that doesn't destroy your mood. You can also request bottled water. Simon greets you with a smile, except that you can't see it because he is wearing a mask. You can just FEEL the peace and harmony that exists in the space. Everything is clean and perfectly appointed. There are even bathrobes upon request. Today I had an hour and half massage masterpiece. Simon starts off very gentle but firm, you can easily communicate with him to request a different approach or softer touch or a bit deeper. Its absolutely no stress. I prefer to just let him do his thing. He has had so many years of experience and employs so many different modalities in his body work... I'm always blown away at the various techniques he uses... Sometimes I just don't know what is going to happen next but I always know that it's going to be good! I'm particularly impressed with his stretching of the body. It's nothing uncomfortable. It absolutely gets those knots and tight spots loosened up. Lately, because I'm sitting in front of the computer way too much, I have encountered a lot of piriformis muscle strain and lower back pain. I know that my posture in my office chair is probably not the best so I've taken to walking around 3 hours a day as an attempt to correct this problem. Also, properly supporting the feet inside shoes is critical. I'm finding that Simon's holistic whole body approach to massage therapy is working the best at curbing and treating these issues. Simon is *amazing*. I was visiting Palm Springs for a couple of days and wanted a massage as part of my trip. I searched Yelp, stumbled upon Simon, and it was the luckiest "accident." I've had hip pain for years and back pain for months. I got a deep tissue massage, scrub, and cupping (the latter two for the first time), and--wow--I can easily say Simon is a master at all of these. I left so much looser, with no pain, and my skin feeling so soft and glowing. Simon is so friendly and attentive and positive. As much as it was a pleasure to get massaged by him, it was equally a pleasure talking to him (and I'm not usually a talked during services). The best part of all is that it's clear that Simon loves his work and views it as an art. He was telling me about his experience (there are some *big name* spas in it) and his training, and I had no doubt I was getting the best. Desperately needing my muscles to relax, I found Simon by chance through reviews when on a trip in Palm Springs. After one massage, I ended up booking two more by him in one week. They were all so blissfully different; Simon seems to intuitively cater to exactly what your body needs. Like many of us, this past year left me wound so tightly, and I hadn't realized it until I remembered what it felt like to relax (and get sunshine! Oh Seattle its been a rainy year!) I didn't even know what to ask for when I went in for my first massage with Simon, I just found that I melted into the table, and went back the next day for the hot stone massage with cbd oil. Wow. You absolutely must book this for yourself. There are no words. Going home I realized that my muscles actually felt relaxed, mind and body destressed...my stress had gone down considerably... my entire body has not felt that good in so, so long. I have tried to find a massage like this in the Seattle area for years, to no avail, it simply will have to wait until Palm Springs. I have had many massages all over the world but this is seriously the best massage/body work I've ever had in my life. Simon did a combo of Swedish, deep tissue, cupping and lymphatic draining massage in a span of two hours. There were love and hate moments because he really gets in there to work out the knots so if you're looking to fall asleep maybe don't get the deep tissue. He knew exactly where i was hurting and which pressure points to get at. simply incredible. He isn't the cheapest but I don't even care. I was a brand new person when I left. Having spent the last decade in Asia, and been through different therapies for various sports injuries, I felt Simon the highest level of sports med/muscle manipulation type of massage therapy. He compares to sports therapists assisting professional athletes. He has mastered pressure points, anatomy, alignment, muscles, and recovery. He is versed in Asian methods such as cupping, and the holistic approaches. 9/10 massages get are usually disappointing, and I have to say I wish he would move to my city, because I've yet to find someone who could compare. read more

Simon knows what he is doing when it comes to massage. He is an expert regarding the body's musculature and its trigger points. He applies the right amount of pressure and stretching, always checking to make sure it is appropriate for your sensitivities.
