Joe is absolutely amazing, that was a REAL massage, 10/10 guys try him out. The techniques are so on point, and he knows where to put pressure! read more

A true hidden gem in San Francisco! After two weeks of walking all over the city and working a major conference, my feet, legs, and shoulders were incredibly tight and sore. I booked the combo massage, and my masseuse was amazing! they worked out every knot and painful spot in my feet and legs, incorporated stretching, and spent time on my shoulders to release even more tension. My only regret is that I didn't book the 90-minute massage! I would absolutely recommend this place and will definitely be back the next time I'm in San Francisco. read more

It is a no frills place - simple & not fancy but I had an amazing 30 minute foot massage by Joe. He is really good & the massage was deep & firm. They have great prices. 30 min for $36. Best call to schedule an appt CC accepted, no AX Bathroom available Someone that finished their massage also was happy with Michael as well. read more

Excellent and the price is right. You are going to hear the sounds of Chinatown while they are working on you and you will be in a room with other people just consider it part of the charm. I believe my therapist's name was May and she was absolutely excellent. And it is right next-door to Spicy King so you can go have some hot and sour soup afterwards! read more

Highly recommend Joe! He will do not only deep tissue massage but also work on your arm, shoulder, and hip range of motion. One of the best massage/physical therapy kind of session I've had and I felt so much less tight afterwards. Also very affordable. read more

Iv been needing a deep tissue massage for a while and I finally got one yesterday right here at Top Therapy Massage! It was so good and well needed and I feel great refreshed and renewed! I definitely recommend this massage place. It was $60 for an our massage and my husband and I were able to get a massage right next to each other. They didn't turn us over to give us a break from laying on our stomachs but it was a great massage and now I'm a little sore but that just means the deep tissue was done right. read more

Visited this place while looking for a place to get a good massage and based on good Yelp reviews decided to stop here. Both my guest and I enjoyed our massages. They were good and thoroughly done. My guest and I enjoyed the professional treatment and good quality care. My reason for only 4 stars is that neither my guest and I have never read a massage where we were not turned over. We spent the entire time on our stomachs which was awkward and after so much time on my stock my nose was getting clogged and running as well. Good overall but next time I would ask that they turn me around. read more

$50 for 45 minutes, I left after 20. "Massage therapist" did not appear to have any massage or reflexology experience at all. Place reeked of cigarettes. They seem like decent people, not sure why they're in this business and otherwise have decent reviews. read more

Joe is a machine! Great movements and different techniques to unlock and stretch the body! 5 Stars!

It was an okay first experience for a no frill no atmosphere Chinese massage. 2 stars for my husband massage and 4 stars for mine. my husband masseur was too rough and overly painful. He felt relaxed after but he didn't have the most pleasant experience. He is unlikely to come back to a male masseur here again My masseuse Mei was good and got a lot of knots out. I did the one hour massage. Next time I will bring my own softer hand towel for my face as the paper towel I had facing down was rough for my face against for 60 minutes. For $60 plus tip I am glad the technique was good and relaxing. read more

Joe is great - this is the best massage I have ever had. He knows how the body works. Highly recommended.

I almost don't want to write this review because it's my favorite Chinatown secret. Joe is incredible, he really knows the body, and is very respectful and amenable. You have to tell him clearly if you do or don't want an area dealt with, but he will accommodate as needed. I have pelvic pain, sciatica and fear around men, but so far, have felt comfortable here. The ladies who help you at the front are quick and will get you settled, a bit brisk but overall it's fine. And for the price, this place is my regular spot, if I need a $30 for 30 minute massage after work for upkeep, or a 60-90 minute massage for deep tissue. I could not recommend this spot enough! read more

Me and my brother got reflexology massages here. I think the one hour (30 min reflexology + 30 min body) was $60. Our therapists were very sweet, humble, and professional, and gave a great massage. It was kinda nice hearing the sounds of SF outside. It made me miss Asia. I highly recommend this place. Very affordable and quality service. read more

Top Therapy Massage - Massage Near Me - San Francisco, California

This place is one of the highest rated massage businesses in Chinatown that I found with a quick Google search and it does not disappoint. There are no business hours posted on Google nor on the storefront itself, but Yelp says it opens at 10am and we arrived there at 11:15 am. The lights are turned off, so from the outside you'd think it's closed but the door is open. I paid $60 plus tip for a 1 hour full body massage. My masseuse, Lisa, initially started off soft, but I let her know I wanted harder pressure and the massage was amazing! I didn't even have to tell her my pain points, but she just knew the exact spots where all my tension was and focused there. They accept cash and card, but add a 3% charge with card. read more

Joe is the absolute best. I've had 1,000+ massages and he is the best. He is very skilled at fixing sciatica pain. I highly recommend.

Visiting SF with my two Florida friends and all 3 of us had foot massages (30 mins) from here. Felt really good for the price and they were very attentive. Went back on our last day in SF they got the foot & back combo (60mins) I got the body (60mins). My masseuse was very kind and she made sure to ask in between if it was too painful to adjust. Also was patient with my first time getting massages. Thank you! Would recommend :) read more

Located in the heart of Chinatown, this place is definitely a hole in the wall. I was in a desperate need of a foot massage so I decided to check this place out. The service I picked was the 30 minute foot massage for $30. It was so relaxing and the pressure was just right. The guy who did my massage was experienced and checked on how I liked the pressure. I went on a Sunday when Chinatown was extra busy. The next time I go I'm definitely calling an Uber because we spent a good 20 minutes looking for parking. But I'll be back for sure. read more

They take Apple Pay. You can pay & tip via credit card. Tip around $20 per an hour. Ask for Joe. He knows what deep tissue means.

I love this place. It's not for everyone if you want a fancy place.Mai and Joe are AMAZING. Well educated professional masseuse. Well professionally approved. I keep telling friends about this. Only $60 an hour but please tip appropriately 20% for this performance read more

Exactly what I needed on my lunch break. A quick 45 minute deep tissue massage. Convenient location at reasonable price. The massage therapist was able to find all the knots and break it apart in the little 45 mins she had. I also liked how she massaged on top of a thin sheet versus direct contact with oil. I was able to go back to work relieved and not feeling greasy. Definitely coming back. read more

Wow, Mei did it again!! My 2 hour massage was unbelievable. She found all the knots and worked them out today. Hopefully I get in my next massage sooner than three years! read more

Joe puts in effort at his massages and does a great job. Overall a quiet but quality shop

It's been years since I've gotten a good foot massage since I moved away from the Peninsula. I've gotten one from another place in Chinatown but the masseuse was talking to her friends and phoning it in so I said never again. I needed to find another place. Thanks to Yelp I found Top Therapy. The price was reasonable so I had to try it out. Top Therapy Massage is a no frills massage place. If you want candles and aromatherapy, this place isn't it. People complained about the cigarette smoke? They open the front door for ventilation. And sometimes people will walk by with cigarettes. I couldn't smell too much smoke because I had a mask on. And for the noise? Put on your AirPods and listen to your favorite music or podcast. Now, to the massage. I had to go to a wedding last week and wore painful shoes. Ouch!! I decided to get a foot massage to help with the pain. When I walked in, the lady who greeted me was very nice. I decided on a 60 minute foot massage. She led me to a chair and Jack, my masseuse brought out the hot water for my feet to soak in. I explained to him about wearing heels and how much the balls of my feet hurt. After soaking my feet for a few minutes, he went to work. He was strong and at times it was a little painful but I pushed through it. After he was done, my feet felt much better! Everything was loosened up. Jack did a great job. I decided he will have to be my guy going forward for foot massages ;) The people here work hard, so please tip accordingly. I gave my tip to Jack in cash. Highly recommended!! read more

I hate soft massages. They do absolutely nothing for me. I don't care about ambiance or amenities. Just give me a hard pressure, pressure point massage and I'm a happy camper. After a sub-par massage a few days earlier at another establishment by my hotel that cost me $130, I knew Chinatown was the way to go. If that is what you're looking for, this is THE place to go. I got a 20 min foot massage and a 60 min body for $85 + $20 tip. "Joe" knew all the pressure points and got all the knots out in my shoulders, back and neck. At the end, you also get a great stretch. Left feeling light headed and body feeling like jello, which is exactly what I was looking for. I plan to go again before I leave SF, for sure. read more

Top notch massage and pleasant staff. All problem areas were tended to and feeling much better!

I came here a few years ago service was good was trying to find a good place due to being pregnant at the time with my partner. I found them went in for Massage. Everything was good as I was leaving and paying for my services. They literally stood at the front door, blocking it because they thought the tip I was giving them which was good amount tip. They basically weren't letting us leave unless I gave them more. Literally felt like I was being held hostage unless I paid double more of a tip will not be going back due to the horrible customer service. read more

I'm in San Francisco working a conference at the convention center and needed a massage after standing. I've had many massages/reflexology and knew Chinatown was a good spot. Unfortunately, this place didn't live up to other reviews. The therapist had jerky hands and didn't focus and knead on obvious tight spots. There were loud conversations at times, and the place was rundown with older, uncomfortable massage tables. I would definitely not recommend and seek alternate locations. read more

Amazing spot! Mei is such a gem, she's super strong and intuitive - a real body worker! I like my massages to be more painful/hard versus a lite spa rubbing type of experience.. and Mei is perfect for that. She definitely feels into where your body can take more pressure and goes to town with it. Came to SF for work and went 2 days in a row. After the massage i feel readjusted and relaxed. She is a gifted body worker, not a typical masseuse! read more

I hurt my neck jumping like a goofball and it got progressively worse for a couple days. I asked for the neck & shoulder 60min. and oh boy. She barely touched my shoulders and basically gasped and told me I was tense. It was a painful 60 minutes and I was definitely sore and bruised the next day, but the next next day I was a new woman. Affordable, clean, and friendly. Highly recommend! read more

6 years later, this is still my absolutely highest recommended spot for getting blissed out. May is still my #1!!!! Also shout out to Jack too I've brought more friends here than I can count and everybody always talks about it. read more

Very good place for foot massage. Came here as my legs had been hurting for over a week. The lady did an amazing job getting rid of most of my pain and i was finally able to walk pain free. $35 for a hour foot and back massage. Deal! While I was having my foot soaked, the massage therapist asked if I wanted to have a foot exfoliation with a pumice stone. $8 extra. Why not. She spent about 1-2 minutes on each foot and I was done. Excellent attention to the foot massage. The therapist moved me to the table and gave me a 30 minute back massage. Worth the money! read more

I went today for a deep tissue massage because I was feeling very tight and felt I really needed one. I've visited this place at least three times before, and the therapist was always very pleasant from start to finish. However, today, she seemed more focused on making money and was disrespectful. Although the session began well, the work on my spine felt very uncomfortable, as she used her knuckles in inappropriate areas. On the plus side, she did well with some areas, and I did feel looser afterward. One of her coworkers mentioned that the cost was $85, which seemed reasonable to me. I handed over a $100 bill and called the therapist who worked on me. The coworker gave her the cash, and she complained, asking why it was only $15. She remarked that it was too cheap since she had done a 90-minute session. I explained that I only had $102 and only had my card left. In response, she made a rude hand gesture and told me to go away or goodbye. read more
