This place is cute! I love the vibes and their selection of clothes is cool. They sell local pittsburgh goods like candles, leather wallets, prints, plants, cards, and knick knacks too. They have a cafe here serving the Boredom Set coffee I think. It's always so good and quality. Cool space to hang out and grab a latte.

I love that there's a coffee bar in a cute vintage clothing shop. Friendly staff and my latte was great! Seems like the clothing is more geared to men but there are some women's items, although checking randomly the prices are high. $70 for a secondhand Armani blazer, $80 for Patagonia puffer vest, etc. Glad to see a small business on Walnut St and hope it does well!

Heat Check is a new vintage store in Shadyside, which was easy to find with signs leading you up the stairs and to the left. Inside, there are three large racks with a curated selection of vintage clothing, including tops, bottoms, and light outerwear. The highlight for me was the small coffee counter. I got an iced matcha latte with oat milk and added blackberry lavender syrup, which was a nice combo. The staff was friendly and made a few syrup suggestions. The overall vibe was relaxed, and it was nice to browse while enjoying my drink. I also overheard they're planning a wheel-thrown pottery workshop soon, so I'll be keeping an eye out for that.

Good coffee, & cool clothes. It's a nice space with a great view of the strip. Definitely a vibe.

I got the best strawberry matcha while shopping for some vintage. They make their own syrups! The vintage is so well organized. The staff is super nice

The cherry matcha was very good. Good balance of flavors! The foam art was perfect too!

I didn't buy any clothes, but I did try a blackberry lavender latte and it was really good! The lavender wasn't too overpowering which I enjoyed and overall the latte wasn't too sweet.

loved this place and its vibe. house made syrup and ceremonial grade matcha, best of both worlds. both drinks, matcha and chai were wonderful. besides the drinks the prices on the vintage clothing were so great! not overpriced at all and pretty reasonable depending on the item! thank you for not price gouging!!

Came post church right across the treat at KCCP and did some qt and studied here for a bit. The seats are limited but gas super nice outdoor view and light. Coffee is delicious and service is great, prices are very reasonable also with 5.5 latte and cheaper everything else. Sugar cookie latte was solid. Clothes And trinkets are on the more expensive end- this felt like I was thrifting back in LA-- prices ranged from like 30-250 lol. I'll give it a 5 to support but in reality it's closer to a 4, bc I thought I was getting a cafe and it's more vintage vibes store than that.

I love finding new places to explore, especially when it comes to thrift stores! I often struggle going to resale or upscale thrift due to the prices being too high or the items aren't in my inventory! However, heat check wasn't badly priced and their selection was clean, vast, and all things I wanted!! And who doesn't love a coffee shop in a thrift stores! Not to mention sitting at the bar overlooking the street while drinking your coffee! I highly recommend everyone to check it out! P.S. it is located to the right of lululemon, want up the stairs, and turn left!

    Peach latte!!

Their jewelry is locally hand made and goes anywhere from traditional to whimsical motifs including Harry Potter, Disney, Hamilton the musical, mosaics, and even dried flowers! Their booth only carries a limited selection of what's in the store where they have partnered with local food vendors such as Olive and Marlowe, as well as other Pittsburgh vendors to sell you almost anything. You can find stickers, clothing, caps, coasters, keychains, soap, candles and so much more! I was able to chat with Jenny who is one of the owners of the business who told me that they offer various craft classes in the store as well as unique themed parties such as Harry Potter for kids. If attending a class is not your bag because of the pandemic then on occasion you can purchase a craft kit in store and arrange for a Zoom class on a particular day to make your craft. They are very flexible when is comes to meeting people exactly where they are. You can find most anything on their website. Have something in particular in mind? Just contact them and they will accommodate your every need. During my visit I picked up two pairs of earrings with surgical steel backs. Jenny gave me some rubber stoppers with my purchases to insure they won't get lost. I purchased a pretty teardrop stud earring set and the Hamilton inspired earrings. I'm all set to enjoy one of my favorite Broadway musicals-"Hamilton." I also learned they do "Wicked the musical" jewelry if you are fond of that show. It's a great place to buy local made arts and crafts showcasing Pittsburgh. Although they are based in Lawrenceville across from Children's hospital, you may run into this business at various events with the last one I saw them at was VegFest. They were also at Picklesburg. Jenny told me that If I ever make to the shop itself the cheapest parking is at Children's Hospital across the street for $3.00. Not a bad deal if you are looking for parking in the area. Will be looking forward to visiting their store this fall to check out their other offerings.

I'm always on the hunt for something unique to add to my ever growing collection of kitsch. This place definitely delivers when it comes to the unique. It's a rather small shop, or maybe it's quaint. Whatever it is, it is warm and welcoming as soon as you walk inside. I happened in here on a rather bleak day outside and being greeted by the owner when I walked in really made my day. I really enjoyed chatting with her. It not only made me feel welcomed in here, but I also felt that I was more inclined to purchase something since she had shown an interest of my being in her store. There is so much to be found in here that looking around you definitely get nostalgic. I had noticed items that reminded me of growing up. Things that you don't give a second notice while growing up, but grow to appreciate later in life. Bowls that remind you of a family dinner, a toy that reminds you of a family member or just an item that reminds you of a time that you were carefree. Pricing is reasonable and in my opinion, much better than other stores of this type. Although you may not find those bigger pieces what you will find here are some pretty great items that you won't find elsewhere in the city.

Let's start off with what I don't like...umm I can't think of one thing that I don't like but I have a million reasons otherwise. The quality....the clothing is built to last. I've had t-shirts that are at least 5 years old and they look practically new after many washes. No fading at all. I have totes, crossbody bags, socks, keychains, candles...and various other clothing items. No complaints whatsoever. The store is beautiful, rustic, nostalgic and pays homage to the area where the store is situated. I miss the downtown location but the store in the Strip serves us well. I had heard this shop moved here into the Terminal, but I was not familiar with the brand. It's a nice little shop with cool decor. It is designed to look retro. They even have an old classic Triumph motorcycle on display. What caught our eye was a shirt displayed on an outside rack with a crying pirate on it that said . . . "Actually There's A Lot of Crying in Baseball," which is very apropos to our local Major League team here in Pittsburgh. The shirt was $36. We bought one for a Father's Day gift. I was surprised to learn that the return policy on shirts is one year . . . ONE YEAR!! That's kinda crazy, but apparently they are supposedly good quality, and made in the U.S.A. In addition to shirts, they also had other clothing too, such as hats, shorts, socks, n'at, and they even had stickers for sale . . . Cheers! P.S. One negative thing was that they don't give out paper receipts. You can have it e-mailed or sent by text. I opted for an e-mail, but it never actually arrived (meh)!!!
