Came here on a Saturday night after visiting Ja Grille nearby. I remember seeing the Open light on…read morethe night prior, but they weren't open. As we walked to our car with full bellies and a few drinks in our system, we decided to see if they were open tonight. We were greeted right away, and they happened to have my favorite cigar! I immediately ran to the case and grabbed a couple. The cashier was able to cut my cigar and light me up. She told us there was a bar in the back where we could enjoy our cigars. It was a cold and rainy night. We had to walk thru an alley that had a hodgepodge of outdoor furniture. I guess this would be where people normally hung out, but other patrons showed where we had to walk up a few steps to another entrance to the building. I guess this was a BYOB spot. It definitely wasn't for the grown and sexy crowd. They had leather seats, tvs, cabinets, and I could have sworn I saw a hookah on the floor. Never saw an actual bar. The furniture did not make sense. If I had to describe the place, it looked like your fun uncle's garage. It was where guys hung out to get away, watch the game, and share a few laughs. Maybe that was the look they were going for? I can't be mad at that. Honestly, I would go back to stock up on cigars. But to stay? I'll let the guys have their sanctuary.

After I left the store, I walked back to tell her she should have a better day and a better attitude while she's at work and she got offended. I was quite surprised when a good friend said that she found a wine tasting on 50th & Halsted. I am…read morequite familiar with the area as I grew up around the way. To my surprise, there is a new spirits store right on the corner of 51st & Halsted. Like the young man in the sotre said, you will not find malt liquor there. They offered a wonderful wine tasting; the taster Lil Eddie knew his business when it comes to wine. I've gone to a lot of wine tastings, and this is the first one that I felt that I walked out truly knowledgeable. I feel more confident the next time I purchase my next bottle of wine. One of the owners Big Eddie (I found out later that there are three Eddie's) was doing a spirit tasting (Facebook, and Instagram follower for sure). He was very knowledgeable as well. Nice to see a goupr of entrepreneurs take pride in knowing the products they are selling ( Lil Eddie gave us the breakdown and history of the soil that the grapes for the wine is grown in). And let me tell you, there is a restaurant next door, S2 Express grill. Check them out people. The lamb chops and mashed potatoes were out of this world delicious. The partner with A&S for events. One stop shop at it's finest. I will be back, and you need to go there as well. Take the crew. Oops almost forgot, there is a nice humidor as well. They have a space out front to sit and enjoy the cigar(s) that you purchase. There is a cigar rolling class on August 24th, I'll be there. Where will you be.

Nice well stocked place. Any alcoholic beverages that you can think of they have it. They also have…read morea buyers reward program. Good service! Clean and neatly stocked. I found this Clap Back "wine" that I haven't been able to find here. I did smell a hint of mildew. We have had lots of rain here in Chicago so I am thinking they have a slow leak or something. I will return yet I had to give a star off due to light smell.

They also offer shipping and curbside pickup. I had to stop the customer service desk to pickup my order. One of the guys at the desk was not sure how to process my order so I had to wait for the manage. Please note, face mask was required for all those entering the building! They also have sani spray for the shopping carts and baskets! I am happy this location has reopened.

Self-Checkout Would Be an Upgrade -- The Staff Sure Aren't…read more.. Yeah, I get it -- a lot of us who shop here probably look like giant losers (myself included). But that doesn't excuse the staff from acting like they're being punished for showing up. Most of the cashiers are rude, dismissive, or completely uninterested -- it's almost impressive how consistently unpleasant they can be, no matter how polite you are. Honestly, Binny's could save a ton of money by just installing self-checkout machines. At least the robots wouldn't roll their eyes or sigh like you've asked them to file your taxes. Then there's the armed security -- they look more like they just finished doing a robbery than preventing one. I don't even feel safer with them around; it's more like shopping inside a crime documentary. And don't get me started on the parking lot -- it's a total nightmare. At night it feels sketchy, like the kind of place you might get stuck up just walking to your car. Maybe Binny's should focus on improving that experience too, because honestly, it's not that hard to just drive to the South Loop location instead. I really miss the old Binny's that used to be on the corner of 53rd in the Hyde Park Bank building -- that place was intimate, welcoming, and the staff were actually helpful and friendly. This new location, on the other hand, constantly gives you that feeling like someone's watching over your shoulder, waiting for you to steal something. I'm sure theft happens here -- but maybe take a cue from Target. They handle it quietly and strategically, without making every paying customer feel like a suspect. This location could be a great asset to the neighborhood, but right now it's just a stressful stop. Be safe.
