It had reached the point where it was affecting nearly every part of my daily life. I appreciated his confidence, balanced with his honesty. He explained the pros and cons of Microdiscectomy, answered every question I had, and never tried to oversell the procedure or promise a miracle. Instead, he confidently told me he could fix the pain that was being caused by my herniated disc, and that's exactly what he did. I woke up from surgery with my sciatic pain completely gone. It was the first time in months I had experienced that kind of relief. I was also impressed with how efficient the entire process was. From my initial consultation to surgery was only about two weeks, and everything was organized and seamless. The doctor was professional, (a black male), but kept the door cracked while examining me. I guess b/c I was a female, but it was offensive and invaded MY privacy. He decided to refer me for an MRI and said someone would call me from the place. I received no call until November 2023, so I was in pain all that time calling and calling but they kept saying that someone from the office will call me back. After doing the MRI in November, I was called to schedule and appointment. The older, White lady told me that I had a balance. I asked why they didn't send a bill, and she said that she didn't know. I went to my appointment on December 1, 2023, and it was towards the end of the day. There were people in there frustrated. One lady went to the desk and said she had been waiting for an hour already. Another person cancelled their appointment and walked out. When the Hispanic girl took me to a room, I saw AGAIN, someone's CONFIDENTIAL information pulled up on the screen to where anybody could steal information and commit identity theft. But at least this time, the exam paper was fresh. The doctor came in looking agitated. You can tell he didn't read my chart. He started asking me questions as if it were my first visit, so I mentioned I was there for MRI results. He pulled it up on the screen, and said he didn't see anything. He said that I needed to see another type of doctor. That visit was under seven minutes and it was not pleasant. I felt like I was an inconvenience. One of the girls came in and gave me a form inside a plastic sleeve to take to the counter to check out. She said she would schedule me with another type of specialist. I walk to the front desk to pay my balance, but no one was there. I waited for a while, and suddenly, a White girl came out of the back and asked why I was still there. She then said that the lady I needed to see was "gone for the day", and they were closing. I explained that I had a balance, but she said, "We'll just bill you", as she put her hand on my back and guided me out the door. It was unbelievable. She didn't even take the exam paper from me. Today, January 5, 2024, I went to the office to pay my balance because I STILL hadn't received a bill (knowing I had a balance and did not want it to go to collections). No one was at the front desk again, but a White girl was sitting at a computer near the desk but further back. I told her that I was there to pay a bill, and she said the person wasn't there. She asked me for my name and birthdate, but I told that I didn't feel comfortable saying it out loud b/c there were people in the waiting room. I handed out the document that was in the plastic sleeve from the previous visit b/c it had all the information she needed. She got up with an attitude, looked at it, and said something like, "You will need to call and find out what your bill is and pay it". I explained that I was there to pay it then. She said that they couldn't take a payment. I explained that I've had a bill since Sept and had tried to pay it twice. I then asked who I was supposed to pay it through. She suddenly had an attitude then threw my document on the FLOOR and walked away to her desk. I said, "Wow. Did you just throw my document on the floor?!", and she said, "It's because you! Nothing!". So, I said, "Well, that's professional. I just want to know how I can pay my bill. Don't take it personal". Then she started rambling under her breath. So, I said, "What is this fourth grade! You just had a tantrum and you're not even apologetic about it. This is your place of business", and she just kept talking under her breath. I told her that I was going to make sure that the doctor heard about this, and she said, "Fine! Go ahead!". She handed me a phone number on a sticky note then yelled as I walked away, "Have a nice day!". DO NOT GO TO THIS PLACE.

If you are a minority or if you are against racism, please do not go there, he was disrespectful and ignorant. What a shame for my community. Appointments are available WAY out...a month or more for simple things. You will rarely ever see Dr Hoang herself...only her PAs are available. You would have a better chance of having a sighting of the royal family. When you actually do have an actual appointment, you will wait in a crowded waiting room and your appointment will occur about 45-60 mins after you scheduled. But don't you dare change your appointment or show up late bc you will be charged a $50 fee. 3 days ago, I called to make an appointment for my daughter. No live person was available. I was directed to a link they sent me via text that took me to their very inept and incapable AI app that does nothing but allows you to text the office. You get a response 1-2 days later. Via this process I find out I have a balance of $125 from a year ago, the last time we went. I was never called about this balance...they simply communicated this to me via this app that I never check (why would I?). This charge of $125 would be a simple fix w my insurance but no one ever called me. So now their app won't let me schedule an appointment for my daughter because they send the outstanding bill to collections! Since the day of treatment was over a year ago, it's likely insurance won't cover it. Well guess who else won't? Me. They should have called me instead of relying on their inept, inadequate texting AI SYSTEM. Do I think the providers here are good at what they do? Yes. I saw her at group physical therapy and the patients would just stare at her while my mom's mind was elsewhere. It broke my heart. She said the therapy was loud and it stressed her out, but he had to be because some people don't hear good, but it was loud and it echoed in the room. My mom is wheelchair bound and they told Medicare that she had walked so many feet which was enough to be discharged. They discharged her with a wound and UTI to Arbrook Plaza for nursing home care. Arbrook Plaza did not give up on my mom. Instead of nursing home they put her in the rehab side of it first and 6 weeks later instead of nursing home she got to come home with no UTI, no wound and her memory and strength is back to where she can transfer herself in and out of wheelchair to her bed or restroom and dress herself. I'm glad Encompass gave up on my mom or else she wouldn't have gone to Arbrook Plaza. Yes Arbrook Plaza is an old building but the quality is great.

Front desk was always welcoming when we came to visit and left. My mom's road to recovery was a positive experience here with the quality of care from all of the staff - literally every single staff member she came in contact with up until the day she was discharged. They really worked with her and were there for her at every corner and I appreciated that more than anything - especially the days we couldn't be there.
