I called there and asked what brand and he said NAPA. I called NAPA to see how much they were and the guy told me 58.00 a piece. I called the store and talked to some big assistant manager named Darren. One of the most arrogant people I have ever talked with. He kept asking me if I was a mechanic and I told him I've changed enough brakes that I know it isn't well over a thousand dollars. To which he replies, well if you could do them cheaper why didn't you just do them? I explained that I live over 600 miles away and hate to see a 74 year old woman be taken advantage of. Anytime you are going to get work done, call around. I found plenty of garages that would have done them for 6-700 dollars.

I took a chance after reading previous reviews and my experience was a mess... (also note that when…read moreyou sign to get your vehicle looked over there's a waiver type sentence that they will do their best to replace everything as it should be put back together) I called and scheduled an appointment for an alignment (because they are free), some grinding noise, and a misfire type feeling going on. I arrived explained again what I needed and decided to add a fluid check (had a coupon). Within 15 minutes, I realized he didn't ask me about the alignment. I found a guy in the office and told him that I wanted an alignment check, he said he'd notify the mechanic. 2 hours later, I was given the repair estimate. Two fluids were highly suggested and one fluid was okay but should be replaced soon and the CV Shaft (what they said was giving me the rumbling and misfire feeling). They hadn't done my alignment because it wasn't written down from my call and the guy didn't tell them, but they would add that on. 2 more hours later the CV shaft and fluids were replaced for about $525 (that's after two coupons, one for 20% off on the fluids and one for $50 off the total). I asked about the alignment and they had another vehicle on the rack but told me "I could come back another day, it'll only take 20 minutes." ... Ummmm what?? I asked for one three times and I was waiting there for FOUR hours AND made an appointment ahead of time to get my vehicle looked over! I couldn't believe it when he said that. As I walked outside my vehicle was being pulled up and it was still making a grinding noise. I went back inside and asked about it and they said that they couldn't find anything important causing the grinding sound and that it's fine. My car was also still doing the rumbling/ misfire feeling so I bit the bullet and brought it to a Chevy dealership. I paid $250 for the diagnostics on all of the issues and it was well worth it: 1. The grinding noise was from two backing plates that were rusted and a little warped. They just needed to be cleaned or replaced. 2. The rumbling/ misfire feeling was from two bad sparks plugs. 3. The other fluid Big O Tires suggested I replace soon was in good condition to Chevy. 4. I did a free alignment check at Steve's Auto World on Maple Grove Parkway. Everything is all taken care of now and I won't be returning to Big O Tires.

Maple Grove Tire & Service - No rivets replaced inside the wheel well. Shoddy work!

Rivets within wheel well skirt were simply left off and not reinstalled. The wheel well skirt is loose and flopping around. Nearly $1,400 in shock replacement work done and this is the best they could do? Not acceptable. We called after noticing the white rivets. The person at the front desk denied any knowledge of anything. Lastly, after replacing all four shocks and all four tires with brand new tires, we were told by the manager Damian that the "Jeep Death Wobble" would stop. A month later It did not stop and was just as bad as before all of the above was replaced. We found a reputable and knowledgeable mechanic who replaced the tie rods. That has fixed the Jeep "Death Wobble." Tires Plus should have recommended that we go to a mechanic that could have checked the tie rods first before Tires Plus charged $1,400 to replace the shocks. Replacing the shocks AND the tires DID NOT solve the problem. The root cause of the problem was the tie rods. We wonder now if Tires Plus did a shotty job installing all four shocks?

After paying we were told our cars year and model has a recall, which would've been nice to know before we paid for the work. Car didn't start the next morning, so we called the dealership and found out there is in fact a recall, and made an appointment. Called tires plus back, talked to Ron and explained my frustrations and he hung up on me after trying to explain the situation. If you're in need of car repair, please, do not go here.

Tires Plus was the…read moreonly place I could find that had an opening the next day which was great because I could not keep driving my car as is. The other places were 4 to 11 days out. The staff were very friendly and the store was conveniently close. They told me about the standard charge up front for diagnosing the issue which is about $125 after taxes. I dropped the car off Saturday morning and about 3.5 hours later they called to tell be it was a bad spark plug and ignition coil which would cost about $490 and included the diagnostic charge. I was happy it was not something worse but it also seemed excessively spendy. If I wanted to replace all the spark plugs, I was looking at $1123. They were charging $53 a spark plug. The same exact brand and model cost $15 at your local auto supply store. I know they need to have a mark up but over 3 times? Labor was also I believe excessively charged. They took my car apart to diagnose it because they said they checked all the spark plugs. Why is it another 2.9 hours of labor to put it back together? Anyway, if you need to get your car fixed right away, bring it there and they can do it the next day with friendly staff. You will pay extra for that service though.
