I was in a hurry when I picked him up, so I didn't notice that they had not been done. A few days later when he came walking up to me on the tile floor, I noticed his nails were laying SIDEWAYS on the floor, because they were so long! I called Petsmart and explained the situation, and a very nice person on the other end of the phone said - no problem, just bring him back up and we will do them for you. I couldn't go the day I called, and went a few days later. When I walked in, the girl who had groomed him was there. I again explained the situation and what I was told... and she instantly copped an attitude with me, insisted she did them and became very defensive and rude. I said "Listen, I don't appreciate the attitude you are giving me. I just explained to you what was told to me". She told me she would not do them - she refused - and then turned and spoke on behave of the other young employee standing there and said she refused to do them as well! Alrighty then!! I explained I paid for a service, and I expect to get what I paid for. She proceeded to call her manager, all the while being completely rude to me. When he entered the room he took the exact same attitude with me before he fully understood the situation. He said I needed to bring my dog on the day I called, and that too much time had gone by (it's been a week since I called). He instantly took to her defense and was very dismissive of me. I had said to both of them "look at his toes, they speak for themselves " to which they said they didn't need to look at them... because they were done. I said listen, this isn't my first rodeo... I've been getting my dog groomed for 14 years. I think I know when his nails have not been cut. To which this 22 yr old something snapped at me and said "I think I know what I've been doing, I've been grooming for years". Bottom line - Petsmart needs better management, and a better screening process for employees. I've have owned many businesses, and if I EVER witnessed one of my employees speaking to a customer the way this employee was speaking to me... I would have fired them on the spot - no questions asked. I will never spend a dollar in that store again... and not only have I had dogs groomed there for several years, I would buy my dog supplies there as well. If you are looking for grooming.... there are several local groomers who would love your business and treat you much better. That's how you keep customers!

The service in the store is amazing, and the employees are extremely friendly and helpful. Whenever I check out, an employee always asks if they can help and carry my dog food bag to the car for me. My favorite part about Pet Supplies Plus is that they work with local shelters and collect donations for them! There are big bins near the entrance/exit where you can buy something in the store and immediately donate it to the shelter. I adopted both of my dogs from the Erie Humane Society and my mom adopted her dog from the ANNA shelter, so I love to give back to the shelters who gave us so much, and Pet Supplies Plus makes it so much easier!

We went to the Humane Society Thursday, 1 October 2020 and we visited with 3 female kittens. My husband/the kitten picked each other out and we were told "the normal adoption fee is $65 but we are having a special until tomorrow which is only $25 fee ". So we told her he wanted to adopt her but we needed to get supplies and we would be back Friday! We got there Friday for our appointment and they brought out the kitten in our carrier then the female at the desk (no name tag, long dark hair, tattoos, nose piercing and drawn on eyebrows) asked how he wanted to pay? So this kitten was my gift to him bc 3 1/2 years ago he got me my emotional support kitten from this facility and she has been extremely helpful. I went up to pay ( I had cash and debit) she proceeded to tell me my total was $85....! I asked "why, bc we were told yesterday it was $25?" She IMMEDIATELY coped an attitude bc I was questioning her, she said "the special was for cats 1year +" and my husband wanted a 6 month old. I asked her (in a respectful voice) "please educate your staff more on the sale info bc we are on disability/ fixed income and we really couldn't afford the extra $60 at this time...." Before I could say anything more she stands up and says " You need to get out of my face and quit yelling at me!" "What? I wasn't yelling " (I'm working on being aware of my reactions by remaining calm and respectful) (There is an 8" deep wall/counter and her desk area between us) "You are yelling at me bc you don't want to pay the $85...." At this point I knew I wasn't going to get anywhere with this obviously stressed female bc she didn't even listen to what I was saying so I asked to speak to the supervisor. She then walked over to the other girl working in the front ( tan w/ long blonde braid) and said "I'll be right back, she doesn't want to pay the adoption fee and wants to speak to the supervisor " (I NEVER said I wasn't going to pay it!!!!) About 3 minutes later she and the " Director " came up front and it was obvious by their gait that they both had attitude. First thing said to me was " I'm the Director and YOU need to pull that mask up over your nose!!!!" I pulled it up at the same time I asked that the female who was "helping " me put her mask on bc she was not wearing one.... The Director said " I'm not discussing medical conditions with YOU!" As I was uncovering my nose, only, I said "Neither am I " ( I have PTSD, anxiety, depression and menopausal hot flashes which having my mouth AND nose covered for any length of time causes a panic attack) She then proceeded to repeat the sale price and conditions in a tone that mothers use on children, the whole time talking over me trying to explain that all I was asking is that they educate their staff more bc people with HIGH anxiety don't handle "sudden changes " well. I then said " I was going to make an additional donation but I changed my mind " The Director then said " Don't flaunt your $ in our faces, you can leave, you don't want to pay the fee anyways!!!!" I said " I'm standing here the whole time with my debit card out and she won't take my $" The Director said " Go ahead " to which the female said " I don't feel comfortable with this adoption!" So they denied my husband ( he NEVER said a word bc he had his hand in the carrier petting the kitten to keep his anxiety in check) his emotional support kitten and kicked us out all bc I asked for more training of their staff for people with disabilities!!!! They violated my husband's disability rights And They violated my HIPAA rights!!!! I've had numerous people say not nice things about the staff and I always defended them.... I/MY FAMILY WILL NEVER GO BACK THERE!!!! VERY SAD that my husband is paying the price by having to give back the kitten he already started to bond with!!!!

I witnessed a violent dog fight at the Erie Humane Society dog park due to staff negligence -- two…read morelarge dogs were left unsupervised and began mauling each other. Despite my screams for help, no staff responded for nearly 10 minutes. I had to intervene myself and call the police. Staff were dismissive and unprofessional, more upset about my language than the attack. When asked what the problem was, I told them "(the worker) put two dogs in then same outdoor pen and even though they were f****** fighting she left them alone anyway". Which is exactly what happened. The dogs started to fight, the girl yelled at them to stop, and kicked her leg in between them, and then went back inside. It was all completely preventable. An f-bomb after screaming for help for 10-15 minutes is completely warranted. Their behavior was disrespectful to the animals they were supposed to protect. The staffer said "It was too early on a Saturday morning for language like that", "does my mother know I talk like this", that I was "a real piece of work", etc. They literally wanted to gaslight me because I said the f-word rather than address any concerns. One lady who said she was in charge said "they're just shelter dogs, they get triggered easily". If they're so easily triggered why were they left alone while one dog screamed for almost the whole fight? Now on social media they're saying they tried to talk to me but " i wasn't ready to be respectful". Maybe it's because for over 10 minutes I banged on the fence and ran around the outside of the private pen spraying the dogs with a hose screaming at the top of my lungs because NO ONE ELSE was doing anything. To the point I called the cops AND eventually the Dept of Agriculture who oversees kennel licenses. The Dept of Agricultural called me back within 12 hours and then was on site in 24-48 hours. I filed a formal complaint, and the Department of Agriculture conducted an inspection and you can see in my screenshot they it ====required remedial actions===. That says it all. They apparently watch their dogs as closely as they watched their bank account when the director embezzled.

I tried getting their attention a couple times as my kids started getting impatient and pulling things off the shelves. Lots of supplies for all types of animals. They have a handful of animals to purchase, including rats and mice (ew), ferrets (cute), lizards, snakes (ew) and beautiful birds. They even have a store mascot named Red that's a beautiful rainbow colored bird (don't ask me what kind!). The one employee also had her own pet cockatoo that was perched on her shoulder. So cute! We went in to get some fish for my dad's tank. The separation between salt water and fresh water fish is not very clear. I was pretty confused and had to go up and down the 3 rows and had to ask an employee... Who didn't make it very clear either. It was kind of mixed in between the two, I guess? I would suggest better signage. There is a good variety of fish if you can figure out what you need. Even large fish for ponds! And someone please buy the axolotl... If you don't know what they are, please google! I'm glad to see they don't sell cats. I hate seeing them in cages at pet stores. I did see some visiting rooms, it makes me wonder if they work with any pet adoption agencies around town. I will note for COVID times, the one employee that helped us with the fish was not wearing his mask properly, it was under his nose. I feel way more comfortable when everyone is masked appropriately and tried to hurry away from where he was standing. He was nice, but most importantly, should just be wearing the mask correctly. At approximately one year of age guinea pigs with the Satin gene begin showing organ damage (heart, kidney/bladder, etc.), bone degeneration, metabolic dysfunction, nervous system degeneration, and more. They succumb to one or more of these health conditions and die. If I didn't have a background in Biochemistry and Molecular Genetics, I probably wouldn't have realized what was happening. A vet in Cleveland confirmed it.
