Everything to sound advice to helping you carry your stuff to your car. If they don't sell a type of dog or cat food, it's probably because it's not worth buying! No gimmicks or whacky stuff, just honest products! I have a special needs dog who is allergic to most foods and they helped me pick the best food for her needs. She's been so healthy and happy since! They sell only the best pet foods, bird feed, and garden plants and flowers!

I remember setting foot in Heartland Pets in 2022 and thinking to myself "What a horrible place." I…read morewas in the mall around feeding time, and the chorus of barking dogs filled the mall food court. I walked into the store and saw the sweaty, ashen looks on the faces of the kennel staff, who looked so miserable that I had to laugh to diffuse my tension. I spoke with a lady, who aggressively pushed her dogs and guinea pigs onto me to make a sale. I just bought a small something for my (since rehomed) guinea pigs and escaped. I remember feeling like Dante after I exited, like I had been through hell. No human or animal deserves to be in a place like this. The fact that a puppy mill pipeline is allowed to operate in a mall is outrageous. In New York, we ban stores like this because of their inhumane animal treatment. This store deserves to cease operations. At least get the animals out of there and return some peace to the mall. Sadly, demand for these kind of places may necessitate a statewide law in PA to make it happened. Commoditization of animal lives is immoral, cruel, and inhumane.

DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY AT PETSMART. I have had issues with them in the past, and why on earth I…read moredecided to give them a second chance, I have no idea. I paid for a full groom ( a little over $50) for my small Yorkie., which is supposed to include his nails being cut. I was in a hurry when I picked him up, so I didn't notice that they had not been done. A few days later when he came walking up to me on the tile floor, I noticed his nails were laying SIDEWAYS on the floor, because they were so long! I called Petsmart and explained the situation, and a very nice person on the other end of the phone said - no problem, just bring him back up and we will do them for you. I couldn't go the day I called, and went a few days later. When I walked in, the girl who had groomed him was there. I again explained the situation and what I was told... and she instantly copped an attitude with me, insisted she did them and became very defensive and rude. I said "Listen, I don't appreciate the attitude you are giving me. I just explained to you what was told to me". She told me she would not do them - she refused - and then turned and spoke on behave of the other young employee standing there and said she refused to do them as well! Alrighty then!! I explained I paid for a service, and I expect to get what I paid for. She proceeded to call her manager, all the while being completely rude to me. When he entered the room he took the exact same attitude with me before he fully understood the situation. He said I needed to bring my dog on the day I called, and that too much time had gone by (it's been a week since I called). He instantly took to her defense and was very dismissive of me. I had said to both of them "look at his toes, they speak for themselves " to which they said they didn't need to look at them... because they were done. I said listen, this isn't my first rodeo... I've been getting my dog groomed for 14 years. I think I know when his nails have not been cut. To which this 22 yr old something snapped at me and said "I think I know what I've been doing, I've been grooming for years". Bottom line - Petsmart needs better management, and a better screening process for employees. I've have owned many businesses, and if I EVER witnessed one of my employees speaking to a customer the way this employee was speaking to me... I would have fired them on the spot - no questions asked. I will never spend a dollar in that store again... and not only have I had dogs groomed there for several years, I would buy my dog supplies there as well. If you are looking for grooming.... there are several local groomers who would love your business and treat you much better. That's how you keep customers!

Lots of supplies for all types of animals. They have a handful of animals to purchase, including rats and mice (ew), ferrets (cute), lizards, snakes (ew) and beautiful birds. They even have a store mascot named Red that's a beautiful rainbow colored bird (don't ask me what kind!). The one employee also had her own pet cockatoo that was perched on her shoulder. So cute! We went in to get some fish for my dad's tank. The separation between salt water and fresh water fish is not very clear. I was pretty confused and had to go up and down the 3 rows and had to ask an employee... Who didn't make it very clear either. It was kind of mixed in between the two, I guess? I would suggest better signage. There is a good variety of fish if you can figure out what you need. Even large fish for ponds! And someone please buy the axolotl... If you don't know what they are, please google! I'm glad to see they don't sell cats. I hate seeing them in cages at pet stores. I did see some visiting rooms, it makes me wonder if they work with any pet adoption agencies around town. I will note for COVID times, the one employee that helped us with the fish was not wearing his mask properly, it was under his nose. I feel way more comfortable when everyone is masked appropriately and tried to hurry away from where he was standing. He was nice, but most importantly, should just be wearing the mask correctly. Nice little shop to support local and a nice option instead of the big box stores!
