He was at the shelter for around six weeks. Lots of people looked at him, but he would growl and cower in the corner. He did want to be touched. Bruno is a Pomeranian Chihuahua mix. Sometimes you need to be aware of the breed you are adopting, understand the animal has been traumatized, and show a lot of love and patience. I was told Bruno would not allow me to pick him up, was unsocialized, and hated to go for car rides. When I open my car door, I said Bruno want to go for a ride he jumped right in, Bruno loves to go for rides. He is housebroken, he smiles and many times people think he is showing teeth but that's not the case. His previous owners said they did not have enough time for him. It showed! I'm sure Bruno was kept in a crate all day long. He loves to roam the house, sleeps in the bed with me, is extremely protective of me. He has turned into a cuddle Buddy. He listens really well, loves baths And gets along extremely well with other dogs. After a little time, effort and training, Bruno is now my emotional support dog and goes everywhere with me. I am very grateful the Anna Shelter took Bruno in. Many kill shelters kill owner surrender dogs first. Each day I had Bruno, a little more of his personality came out. He has turned out to be an amazing companion and I feel very blessed to have him in my life. Thank you for giving Bruno a second chance. He has found his forever home.

HUGE mistake. The groomer I spoke with today was not the same person I'd met when I originally made the appointment. She seemed very young and inexperienced -- I should have trusted my instincts. I even showed her a photo and made it clear I wanted a cut that would last about three months. She suggested a "short, soft" look. My dog had absolutely NO matting, so there was no reason to shave her. Yet that's exactly what they did: a total, all-over shave. This is not a "style" -- it's proof that the groomer lacked the skills to deliver what I asked for. It is lazy, careless, and unacceptable. I am absolutely livid. Terrible service. I was in a hurry when I picked him up, so I didn't notice that they had not been done. A few days later when he came walking up to me on the tile floor, I noticed his nails were laying SIDEWAYS on the floor, because they were so long! I called Petsmart and explained the situation, and a very nice person on the other end of the phone said - no problem, just bring him back up and we will do them for you. I couldn't go the day I called, and went a few days later. When I walked in, the girl who had groomed him was there. I again explained the situation and what I was told... and she instantly copped an attitude with me, insisted she did them and became very defensive and rude. I said "Listen, I don't appreciate the attitude you are giving me. I just explained to you what was told to me". She told me she would not do them - she refused - and then turned and spoke on behave of the other young employee standing there and said she refused to do them as well! Alrighty then!! I explained I paid for a service, and I expect to get what I paid for. She proceeded to call her manager, all the while being completely rude to me. When he entered the room he took the exact same attitude with me before he fully understood the situation. I remember feeling like Dante after I exited, like I had been through hell. No human or animal deserves to be in a place like this. The fact that a puppy mill pipeline is allowed to operate in a mall is outrageous. In New York, we ban stores like this because of their inhumane animal treatment. This store deserves to cease operations. At least get the animals out of there and return some peace to the mall. I do not know how much the puppies cost, but I could imagine the approximate prices. Financing is available through a few lenders. I walked into this store when I was shopping in the mall. The puppies were kept in displays that have grates on the bottom and blankets. Other animals such as rats were also available for sale. Several aisles of shelves were stocked with merchandise, and the aisles were crowded with boxes on the floors. I own a dog, but I did not find anything to buy for her. I felt disappointed that I did not see many products for cats.
