I submitted my new Delta Dental insurance card on January 29, 2026. The office confirmed receipt. My February 3rd exam and cleaning were covered at $0. On February 21st I returned for crown prep and fillings. The office collected $1,212.40 from me representing it as my patient responsibility after insurance coverage. I later confirmed through Delta Dental's own portal that SmilexPro submitted nothing to insurance until February 24th -- three days after treatment and after collecting my payment. Delta Dental paid $0 on every restorative procedure performed. I was never given an explanation for how they calculated a specific patient responsibility of $1,212.40 without submitting anything to insurance first. When the claim came back denied they demanded an additional $937.60 and stated in writing that my permanent crowns would not be seated until I paid. I disputed this with documented evidence. Dr. Tri then authorized a full waiver and my crowns were seated. I never received a single bill, invoice, or financial document throughout my entire treatment. Every document they cited in the dispute I was seeing for the first time. Do not allow this office to begin any restorative treatment without written pre-authorization confirmation in hand. Ask for copies of everything you sign on the day you sign it

I washed my hands and Taryn grabbed another tool set. During the cleaning I stare at 2 more HUGE flies on the ceiling light while my mouth is open. Then one flies straight into my face!! I jolted out of chair hitting my leg on that dang chair pole. Taryn was super polite, gave me first aid. We changed rooms. I also asked to see Dr Cavazos and they still put me with Ling so theres that. This place needs attention to infection control and environment of care practices. First, registering was a nightmare--their entire website is in Spanish with no option to switch to English, making it difficult to complete anything online. When I called and explained this to the receptionist, she said she'd just text me another link to register on my phone. Huh?!? Fix your website and make it user friendly for EVERYONE. When I arrived and attempted to register in person, I was met with unnecessary questions about my Social Security number and driver's license, which have no relevance to a routine teeth cleaning. I specifically made an appointment with a particular doctor, only to be seen by someone else. I also made it clear that I was ONLY coming in for a general cleaning and would discuss additional procedures later. Despite this, I was pressured into reviewing costs for treatments I had already declined, with the office manager standing over me with an itemized cost sheet. I even contacted my insurance again, and they confirmed that the only charge I should be responsible for was a $50 copay--yet the office was still trying to push extra costs on me. To make matters worse, my appointment was at 3:00 PM, and I arrived early at 2:35. By the time they went over all of these constructed charges instead of just doing what I asked and the doctor (who I didn't even request) got around to seeing me at 4:45, I was told the hygienist had already left for the day, making my entire visit a complete waste of time. Two hours gone, no cleaning done, and an overall horrible experience. I walked out. Save yourself the frustration and go somewhere else!
