I emailed them, called them, left two messages, and finally left a message saying it was too late and to cancel the order. I ordered some pillows from Sallie Home online Saturday night. Contrary to the other reviewer, I found the lady I talked to at Sallie Home, VERY helpful. I talked to her on my first call this morning (Monday morning), and she told me these pillows were special ordered from Royal Pedic, the maker, and would be drop shipped from them. She offered to call them and find out how soon they could ship them. I checked my phone an hour or two later, in the early afternoon, and there was a message from her that they could ship them to me today, the price, and to call back and let her know if I wanted her to proceed. I called her, and she ordered them in time to ship today. If I lived closer (I'm 862 miles away), I'd go there to shop and - as I used to tell my kids - "look with my eyes" only, not touch and move things, but rather talk to the nearby employee, ask questions about items I was interested in, and probably buy something, if not for myself, for a gift. Like it was with my kids, I didn't want them to touch with their hands for fear that something could be damaged. If they have valuable merchandise on display, maybe they're just trying to make sure it's not dropped, etc. I can't remember the name of the helpful lady I talked to, but she's the person who answers when you chose the second option on their phone system, the option that is about web orders. If you're ordering from out-of-town, try calling. Most of these reviews are old. Maybe they've changed their management style to "helpful" since the older reviews were written.

Amelia's, in Chesterfield, MO, right down the highway, offers the same beautiful brands and products, in addition to much more; a courteous, appreciative, knowledgeable staff with impeccable business practices. Located in Webster Groves, it sells all sorts of unique, handmade-looking (they're probably actually handmade, too) home goods. Everything feels like a statement piece with how personality they have, but they all have practicality to them. It makes it really easy (and dangerous) for me to justify all of the purchases. The prices are very fair, and I love that most products come in the same design and different sizes. Service is great, vibes are great, shop is beyond aesthetically pleasing (peep the gorgeous ceiling!). I think about Forth and Home a ridiculous amount and try to come up with every excuse to swing by, and I can't recommend it enough.

What caught my eye was all the black and white checkered hand painted items. I asked the lady behind the counter if they bought these items or were they hand painted there. They were hand painted by her! I told her I had a MacKenzie Child black and white tea pot that I adore, and she told me that was her inspiration. If you are familiar with Ballard Designs, there are several items that reminded me of them as well. Great place to find a gift or add a special something to your own decor.

Best of all, I purchased the bougie stick for $24 and the manufacturer's website have them for $22 which isn't a ridiculous price difference and I didn't have to wait or pay for shipping. They also carry B**chstix which is a brand that supports survivors of domestic abuse and is a cruelty-free product. I bought one for the friend I was meeting for dinner. Hall's flagship is located in Brentwood, on Manchester Road. The location is also home to K. Hall's corporate headquarters. Don't get me wrong....the Brentwood location is vast, boasting eye-catching product displays of the range of K. Hall products and hosting at least one massive, elbow throwing sale yearly. Originally envisioned as a pop-up retail outlet, the Plaza Frontenac location has been open since 2013. Whoever is in charge of merchandise does a consistently excellent job; I want one of everything. This location is heavier on women's clothing/accessories but still offers a wide range of signature fragrances. When I visited, there was a promotion on fragranced soaps. I ended up buying a soap, along with a necklace and beautiful cheese tray. The store is an oasis within this upscale mall, and one can rest assured of walking out with an unexpected find or, at the least, a calmer head after sniffing the soothing fragrances here.

The shopkeeper was very friendly and courteous. I saw a rug I was interested in for my bedroom that was marked down from 400 to 100 and was made with real wool. I opted to think about it and after speaking with my boyfriend about the rug, I opted to buy it. I came back a week or so later and the one shop keeper remembered me from the other day and knew exactly what I had came for! The shopkeepers were helpful in getting me checked out and even organizing transportation for the rug as I had come in by foot and wanted to get it home that night. And probably much more I don't remember. Today, huge pumpkins (papier-mache??) and Halloween glitz decocated the front porch. It was quite inviting. When my friend and I entered, we were both welcomed and offered a beverage (latte or cappuccino), plus there was a carafe of lemonade with cups just inside the door. There's a lot to see in here . . . and a lot you could miss -- wonderful treasures disarmingly displayed as you might display a hutch in your dining room or a cozy wooden table for four in your kitchen. So accessories are everywhere! There were lots of little (and bigger) plaques everywhere . . . about golf, fishing, family and assorted topics. There isn't a "plaque" department -- they're just everywhere, so you could be surprised at the turn of a corner. I don't know where they get their furniture and all the other items they have, but I've never seen the likes of most of these things . . . the craftsmanship, the uniqueness, the originality! A lot of the furniture pieces are quite large, so you'd need plenty of space in your room, and know the measurements you can accommodate. I don't believe I looked at one price tag . . . . except the gorgeous antique dining room hutch, which was in the $2,400-$2,900 range, and you'd need 12-foot ceilings and at least a 20x20-foot room to display it properly, unless you have a massive foyer, and it would work there, too. But I didn't buy anything either . . . just enjoyed the ride while my friend bought some lovely home furnishings and a beautiful pair of snowflake holiday earrings that were maybe $7-$10.

The store is very well organized and I liked how they had room setups together like bedroom versus dining area. They have a lot of nice accessories to decorate the rooms as well. All the items in the store were in excellent condition and most looked brand new even though they are resale. The pricing was upfront and they discount by age of the item. The staff was very friendly and told me about the store and how the consignment process works. I've added them to my list for when I am in need of home goods because I loved the variety and selection so much.
