They sell NAG CHAMPA! This store is iconic on the main street of St. Charles. Crystals, tarot card, literature, pendulums, some broom skirts and more. We even received a free stick of incense. There were parking lots close by and street parking off the cobblestone. The store was well laid out and colorful. Enjoyed looking and Interacting with the staff. Very limited stock and it felt like we weren't paid attention to until we looked like we were making a purchase, then the sales persons warmed up. The incenses we got were fine but honestly overpriced. A good swap would be going to Maplewood's Mystic Valley, they have a larger collection and are always warm and welcoming. read more

I enjoy coming to The Enchanted Attic. My husband got his wedding band from here and we both have gotten jewelry for our family over the years for birthdays or Mother's Day. It is such an eclectic store with many different things to look at. Today was really busy due to October fest and usually it isn't that busy on a normal day. They carry a lot of different jewelry from different artists which makes choosing gifts easier. I would recommend coming on a day when there isn't anything going on. It is located in Old St. Charles so they aren't requiring masks to be worn. I wore mine and felt comfortable. read more

I have been going to the Enchanted Attic for years and years. My daughter was little when we first discovered it and it was one of our favorite shops on the street. I was there last Christmas and, like many of the shops in Old Town now, it has changed, and not for the better. They still have some of the type of inventory they used to sell but a lot of it now is just imported junk that is overpriced. I bought jewelry there almost every year but now, their selection is seriously reduced with ouly a few pieces truely hand made by independent artists and those are very very expensive. I just feel like they sold out. It was such a heartbreaking experience that I doubt I will return. What was once a beloved shopping spot, is now just like most of the other shops on Main Street... touristy and common. read more

Not kid friendly. My son had a basket that he was putting items in to buy, and the woman came back to back, often, once even making a comment "I heard some banging around over here". It was a candle in his basket. She took it from him to keep up front. My son and I then look through their boxes to choose from and buy, I picked mine out and looked at the rocks. As my son changed his mind and was picking out a different box, the male owner came over to scold my almost 7 year old that the store wasn't "his personal playground" and the items aren't "play things". That really upset my son and made us not feel welcomed. Money is not an issue for us, and I was personally letting him get items to buy for himself. I told him to not grab just anything and put a few items back because they were overpriced for what it was. If I didn't drive 45 minutes there, I would've left without buying anything. But instead bought what I needed before they closed. I remember several years ago coming and being watched like a hawk like they thought I was stealing something. This time it was a bad experience for my son. I'll check a different store out next time. I understand watching for theft, but the words and tone the man used to my son was not okay. I don't like being treated like his purchase and feelings don't matter. We are very well off money wise, and he is a customer as well. We have shopped many, many places and this is the first time in 6-7 years anyone has ever treated him this way. He wanted to make sure he picked the right size box for his items. Very rude. The woman made friendly small talk while checking out, but the man was very negative and mean. We will take our money somewhere else next time for our purchases. I always tip very generously, and make big purchases in bulk - and when doing so the amount I spend is always considered with including my sons experience and how he is treated. The Enchanted Attic used to be my favorite store on Main Street in St. Charles. Lately, every time I am in there and remark to my daughter that I like something, there immediately appears an older sales lady spouting tons of details about the item. I have spent hundreds of dollars in there over the past couple of years, but I don't like shops that have salespeople that swoop down on you as if you are a mouse and they are an apex predator. I am not going to be going in there anymore. I hate feeling like they are eavesdropping on my conversation. If I have a question, I will ask... give your customers some space and quit the over-helpfulness. read more

I can't believe no one has written a review for Enchanted Attic. I love this place so much! If I am in the market for a new necklace, ring or bracelet this is the first place I go. They have lots of semiprecious stones to choose from (I'm not a fancy girl). Most items are one of a kind and are made well. Most of my jewelery is from Enchanted Attic and the people who work there are really nice and have helped past boyfriends pick put jewelery. I usually take forever to pick out my next piece and like to try it on and see how it feels. There is never a problem when I want to retry a piece. Enchanted Attic also offers books, tarot cards, crystals, ethnic gifts, cds, oils, candles, the best incense in town (the ones that are rolled with a variety of scents) and some textiles. I think they offer classes of some sort, but have never looked into them. I love to go in and just look around because there is some mush merchandise to look at. The Enchanted Attic used to by located upstairs, but a few years ago they got a location on the ground level. I can hardly walk past without feeling the need to go inside and look around. I bough some really cute Buddhas for my girlfriends at Christmas time which they loved. Super cool place! Go check it out and buy me a gift certificate. read more

Located in the heart of St Charles, I love this little shop! The staff is always very friendly and helpful and I love their choices in inventory. From jewelry to figurines, everything in this store is quite charming. What I like the most is their incense and cones. I love that you can mix and choose your scents and the price doesn't hurt your wallet. I also love their mini sage bundles. I've only visited two other Metaphysical shops in the Metro area. But in my book, this one takes the cake with their selections. I just wish the store was bigger in size. read more

Cool place and some great unique pieces. The one thing I can't stand is having someone follow me around. Every time I stopped to look at anything I could feel her breathing on my neck. Can I help you want me to open that?? I don't know how many times I had to say just looking but that didn't keep her off my skirt tail. Old Town is full of some pretty cool little shops, but it is pretty rare that I find anything of any real use in any of them. Most lean toward the female crowds, and the Enchanted Attic doesn't stray far from that model. My best description as you walk in is that it's like you walk into your grandma's house and somewhere along the line you step into some parallel universe that transforms into a head shop, then a few steps further you find yourself back at grandma's house. Inside is a collection of lady accessories like the "damnit doll," an oversized key chain in the shape of a doll, to help ladies solve the age old problem, of "damnit, where are my keys?!" (sidenote-re-build this doll into a cell phone case and I will buy one for my mother in law!) There are also some jewelry and precious stone items, and a nice collection of "Fairy" statues for the fantasy collector. Deeper inside the shop I found a collection of incense and incense burners which caught my eye. Close by were some books on spirituality and some fantasy/science fiction books. (Saw George Noorey's book on "Talking to the Dead.") Again, some interesting reading to say the least. There is also a nice selection of oils, candles, and some sage offerings as well. Overall, I think this shop had some interesting items, and it's one of the few in the area that I don't opt to stand outside while the wife looks around. read more

This store sells shirts "painted by elephants" and tells their customers that the money goes to support the elephants in Thailand. When in fact they are just supporting horrendous animal cruelty. http://www.onegreenplanet.org/animalsandnature Please read about how elephants in Thailand are taken as babies from their mothers and beaten and starved into submission to break them. And then they are forced to move the paint brush as their keeper indicates or they are physically hurt. These elephants are beaten if they don't comply. Please don't buy these shirts. They have a trademark sillohet of an elephant on them. It makes me incredibley sad to see something like that being sold in Missouri. It makes me wonder about the other contents of this store. The stores website is in Japanese. My youngest daughter bought one of these shirts for my oldest daughter. My oldest daughter was horrified when she saw the shirt. She had watched a documentary on the elephant cruelty. We took the shirt back. The cashier was reluctant to give us our money back. Nice. This store doesn't fit in with the rest of Main Street. When I was 10, I thought it was the neatest store because they had stuff I'd never seen before, back in the days before the interwebs. They have all sorts of crytals, books, tarot decks, clothes, jewellery, etc. It's not quite my cup of tea, but you might as well look in when shopping on Main Street. read more

Love this store I go here to stock up on my sage bundles. They have all kinds of neat things clothing, crystals, insense, oils, jewelry including handmade jewelry and much more. Staff are friendly and prices are what you'd expect if in the touristy area of main street actually they are cheaper then most others around them. Definitely stop in here you never know they may have something you'll love their not like every other shop on main so check them out. read more

I absolutely adore this store! It is small, nestled in the heart of old town St. Charles, & has the prettiest assortment of crystal jewelry ever.
