Cute gift shop with Cheeky & outspoken merchandise, that is apologizing for absolutely nothing! Love what they stand for, and their products are consistently high quality. read more

This is my second time coming to this location. This place has a very clear identity and that's what makes it stand out. It's not just a gift shop, it feels like a full-on brand experience built around bold, empowering, and cheeky messages. Everything from clothing to candles and accessories has that "be yourself" energy which is refreshing compared to more generic boutiques. The product selection is fun and super giftable, it feels personal and intentional which adds to the appeal. The space itself is colourful and full of personality. It's the kind of store where you end up reading everything and spending more time than you expected just browsing. Some items feel a bit pricey for what they are and once you get the vibe, the selection can start to feel a bit repetitive. Overall, it's one of the more unique shops in St Louis. Great for gifts and browsing, and definitely worth stopping by. read more

This was a really fun experience never even knew this place existed until yelp. I'm constantly thankful for Yelp for giving me all these experiences to try something new. I love aesthetic so coming in here was like heaven to me. The staff was really friendly and plenty of room for the vendors I enjoyed each and every vendor that was present and though I didn't eat, it smell really good. The bar was well decorated and I love how they had two buildings. I will definitely be coming back here with my girls. read more

Golden Gem is honestly one of my favorite spots in town! From the moment you walk in, the vibe is welcoming, fun, and full of personality. Their staff is amazing--friendly, helpful, and genuinely passionate about what they do. I recently got the chance to model some of their apparel, which was such a cool experience and made me appreciate the brand even more. Everything I've tried, from their drinks to their bites, has been consistently top-notch. The attention to detail in both the space and the products really shows. It's the kind of place where you feel special every time you visit. Whether you're shopping, grabbing a bite, or just soaking up the atmosphere, Golden Gem never disappoints. Can't wait to come back again soon! read more

I came to Golden Gems for their Toxxed and Tatted event. I have shopped here many times and surprised I've never written a review because I'm a big fan. I signed up about 45 minutes after opening and was told a 90 min wait. I ended up not getting in for nearly 3 hours which was a little frustrating but things happen. During that time I was able to get some shopping done, get some hair tinsel, and enjoy the food truck outside. This is a great business whether you're looking for something for yourself, a gift, or attending a special event here or Hidden Gem. read more

What a GEM of store! Literally, this was such a cool spot and I wanted to buy everything I saw. It was such a vibe, with the accumulation of unique stickers, shirts, signs, cards, mugs and so much more. It was hard not to bring most of the store up to the register, but since my carry on had limited space, I ended up with a large stack of stickers, especially once I realized they had an online store for any future purchases. They also have a sister speakeasy/bar concept. I was unable to check it out this visit, but will definitely pu it on my must list next time. It's well worth checking out while in the City Foundry Market area. Though nothing has specific St. Louis vibes all the goods ae super unique and I believe made by their local team of artists. The staff member at the store was so friendly and helpful as well. So all around a five star experience and shop. read more

This. Place. I cannot stop thinking about this place. It's a woman owned business and they are some BAD A** BOSSES! They have everything you need for yourself and your baddie friend! To having an amazing photo booth in the store, to having "You're a gem" in the flooring, this place couldn't be any cooler! They have the best gifts items, baddie shirts, fantastic books, you name it. I know where I'll be going for m next gift! read more

This location is so cute! I love everything the second you walk in there's a nice little storefront with so many catchphrases and useful items for your day-to-day living. I've only been to two of the three locations and I cannot wait to make it to the one in the mall. Everything is priced reasonably and they have sizes of clothes that range from small to our plus size ladies. If you were in the mood to shop for some gifts for almost anybody in your life, this is a great location to come to. Also, you have to check out their fragrances. Some of my best compliments come from their perfume. Also, the staff are 10 of 10 perfection! read more

Golden Gems is one of my favorite local shops for gifts (sometimes for myself)! The other day, after lunch, my friend and I decided to stop in for a quick look. The store was pretty busy with customers, but the sales clerks were so friendly and made sure to welcome and greet every guest! When I walked in, I saw the cutest little disco ball ornament that I just had to have! They had quite a few other ornaments too so it was hard for me to decide...but I am very happy with what I purchased! I also found a cute little plate that had the best saying on it; honestly, all of their items have the best sayings (and some are pretty sassy! Everything just made me giggle and feel happy. I also found a perfect size sticker. They have amazing smelling candles and sprays as well as some awesome t-shirts and journals! Did I mention keychains? Well, they have great keychains too if you are looking for a cute little stocking stuffer. Honestly, Golden Gems has so many wonderful stocking stuffer ideas! Once I made my purchase, I paid and was on my way. It was a perfect little visit and I can't wait to visit again for some more fun items. read more

I visited Golden Gems for their Drag Me to Bingo Pride Event and I had a ball! I was looking for things to do during my weekend trip to St. Louis and I found the function on EventBrite. My friend and I arrived for the second round of bingo and we knew we were in good company between the welcoming vibes and good music. All the queens did a fabulous job performing and the staff did a great job keeping everyone's cup filled with unlimited mimosas. My "souvenir" rose covered cup has quickly become one of my favorite tumblers. Props to the owners for their brilliant ideas, thoroughly using such a big gorgeous space. I've been to Golden Gems a few times now. Last night they had a RIP Valentine's Day party. I don't want to describe the event because that's not the kind of experience you should expect when you go to Golden Gems. What you should expect is such coolness! Two sisters design all of this cool stuff, and see if it, like the banners, they make in-store. It's all very pro-women and sweary. My grandma could cuss like a sailor and I could practically feel her spirit as I shopped last night. They also have an online store. I'm going to have a custom banner made for my friends' wedding. OH MY GOODNESS HOW HAVE I NEVER BEEN TO THIS PLACE. We were grabbing brunch next door and this spot screamed at us, we had to go in. Super pink, great signage, right up our alley. Did we spend too much money? Absolutely. The cashiers/owners were SO nice and helpful. Their product is to die for. I love that they make a lot of their own product. Everything about this boutique is absolutely brilliant. This hip, pink, unapologetically feminist, pro human rights (for everyone), trans-affirming, shop is more than your average boutique. Their clothing, accessories, and other home decor not only promotes their mission of empowering you to live unapologetically and take up space but also donates a portion of their monthly sales to local non profits, hosts fundraising events for causes they care about, and even hosts occasional donation drives where goods donated to partnered organizations is rewarded with discounts! The people who work here are incredibly friendly and welcoming. They are quick to help you find exactly what you're looking for (even if you're not exactly sure what that is), and even during busy events, they leave you feeling affirmed and taken care of. Did I mention I would buy one of everything if I could? Seriously, take all my money. I only wish their clothes were tiny enough for my newborn daughter so that she could wear your empowering messages as well! read more

This place is so cool it hurts. They have a ton of amazing t-shirts, keychains, notebooks, stickers and gift items that are empowering and badass. I bought a shirt here for Pride that all the proceeds went to an amazing cause and my sister attended an amazing event where she got some flash tattooed. I can't say enough how important it is to have a place that clearly supports artists, feminists, minorities and LGBTQIA+ people. They stand for everything I love and believe in and I will support them always not only for their morals but because they make dope merch and know how to curate a space perfectly. Go here. Buy stuff. Brag about it later. They deserve all the success and more. read more

Stopped by the other day to get a gift for my best friend. Alyssa (I think was her name!) was super friendly, helpful, and gave great suggestions for gift options. I ended up purchasing a rainbow aura style coffee table book, the most delicious smelling candle, and a cutie little keychain that said "don't let the bastards get you down." Each item was tailored to something my best friend and I did/traveled/experienced together. Stop by and check them out!! Local owned and women run! So many gift options and something for everyone! They also have adorable recycled shopping bags and fun sticker decals. My bestie loved everything... thank y'all! :) read more

Spending (way too much) time in this store felt like the thrill of watching Greta Gerwig's Barbie movie for the first time in an all-pink theater: feminist, fun, and on top of the freaking world. It's inevitable. No matter what you came to Golden Gems looking for, you will leave with that plus an assortment of other little trinkets that you may not have a place for now, but you're sure you'll find it later. Who doesn't need that "You've Got What it Takes" mug on a groggy Monday morning? Or the "Big F****** Plans" journal to jot down those intrusive thoughts you get at the office desk (or for my sake, my 4pm lecture) counting down the moments before the clock hits 5PM marking Monday evening? Or yet another 'relaxation' candle (that has a unique hint of black leather so you swear it's different) to light that Monday night to prepare you to wake up and do it all over again? Exactly; not a single person. The absolutely splendid sales team convinced me so ;). But in all seriousness, Golden Gems is the kind of gift store that has everything I look for in a shopping experience: the aesthetic, the product, and a personable team that truly makes you feel like the "Baddest Babe In the USA" (yes, I'm promoting another mug) from the moment you enter to whatever moment you gain the willpower to leave. read more

It's no secret that I'm a total Golden Gems fanboy. Their products are just SO cool and high quality. The overall aesthetic is so well designed. I wish I could live inside their store because it's just SO cute. I've been trying to finish decorating my new home office, so naturally I went right to Golden Gems' instagram not only to get inspiration, but also for some much needed retail therapy. Purchased one of their new soy wax candles, the Hazel. The aroma is enchanting! It's described as dark rose mixed with lush plum and peppercorn. The floral scent is very subtle and gives my office the perfect vibe while I'm working each day. Curbside pickup makes my shopping habit way too easy. I pulled up to the shop, gave them a call and they brought the candle right out to me. The other really cool part of the Golden Gems shopping experience is getting free stickers. People love free stuff, and it's such a great way to help market the incredible female-owned store. read more

Today Golden Gems announced on their Instagram that they had 100 BLM signs from #blacklivesmatteryardsignproject available for free or for a donation (to go towards the printing costs/getting more). So awesome! The signs were first come first serve, and local pickup only. I called the shop to see if they had any left, and was stoked to find out they did. I went online as well to pick up a new tee from them because I love the "Wicked Woman" shirt I purchased here at the Yelp Elite Event awhile back. Ordering online was simple, and I was able to pick up my tee order curbside at the same time as the sign and make my donation. Co-founders and sisters Amanda and Susan make the raddest designs, are the nicest people, and I always appreciate the empowerment of women they represent! They are excellent instructors (as witnessed during the mini banner making event), and their creative videos posted during quarantine are hilarious. I also dig their reusable shopping bags which have "Cool Shit Inside" printed on the outside. Thank you so much, Golden Gems! St. Louis is lucky to have you! read more

I want one of everything! Their items are inspired by the fact they believe there's a badass in each of us. Very feminist, a little cheeky, and just very cool. Great place to find unique gifts for that one sassy friend! I bought a print from them years ago at an art fair before they had a store. They still have an etsy shop. I've been in the store for two mini banner making events. The first was a Yelp Elite event and more recently an anti-Valentine's day event. For the v-day event, they brought in a tattoo artist and a tarot card reader. If you pre-registered I received a free gift a tote bag and print and $5 off your purchase. I finally got one of their super soft Wicked Woman sweatshirts. Free stickers with purchase! I suggest following on social media for more cool events! read more

If you are looking for a perfect gift for someone, but they seem to have everything already, I definitely recommend the Golden Gem! It's a locally, women owned business that sells gifts of encouragement and items to remember to always be that strong woman you are. You aren't going to just find stuff for women encouragement, but also Pride and other fun items. You almost have to go and check it out yourself, either at their location at The Foundry or their main location on Locust St. Such a fun place! read more
