I was here yesterday and the young lady with glasses followed me around the whole time, peeping at me behind items. I was so uncomfortable because of it. The nice lady with pigtails was checking me out and she made it her business to come and check me out to stand there. I will never in life return to this store! My friend took me here to show me this unique shop. She tried to explain it to me but thought it would be better for me to see for myself. It's a intersting shop, very nice large space. My favorite area was the coffee bar/snack bar. It reminded me of something out of a movie with that long counter and stools, with it's retro throw back look. They sell coffee, tea, shakes, ice cream and more. They have a variety of crystals, oils, books, candles, jewelry, dvd's, music and more. In the back there is a quiet area you enter in that is private for various readings. This is an intersting spot to checkout if you're driving down Manchester in Maplewood, looking for a mystical adventure. It's not my cup of tea but it was cool to visit. read more

What a neat place! The staff was very helpful and I felt like I could browse for hours at their collection. In the end, the subtle sparkle of goldstone called to me. The atmosphere as soon as you walk in is calming and relaxing. The people that work here are so helpful and always super considerate. I had a ton of questions about different herbs and which crystals would be the best for me. I must have talked to the cashier over 10 minutes and she never rushed me once. This place was interesting to walk around. I liked smelling like the store even after I walked outside. I wish they had some very small metal buddhas instead of the usual creepy red fat Buddhas. And I like all their little bells-and-flags-on-a-string they had all over the store - they could have some for sale. The books were mostly about tarot and astrology and divination, and not so many serious books about consciousness, or self-inquiry or the nature of reality. And I guess that makes sense if they're catering to people interested in crystals, which they have hundreds of kinds of. There is a small, somewhat pricey cafe in the back and the older (40s?) woman barista is a milk-foaming master. read more

Stl is not lacking in metaphysical stores at all but finding the ones that you feel at home in can take some time because there is no shortage of them. We stumbled upon Mystic Village while exploring Maplewood looking for a new house and I am glad that we did. After being let in I immediately went exploring and felt this would be my new place. I was able to find several of the Tarot decks I have wanted to add to my collection. They also have a smoothie bar, a nice selection of herbs, statuary, crystals, and so many books. They had several beautiful singing bowls and large towers, columns, and cathedrals of Amethyst. A smaller selection of some clothes and bags. I cannot wait to go back and spend more time there. read more

I've been affiliated with Mystic Valley since I bought my aura camera in 2002 (Loving Rose, Psychic). It is a great place to shop! There's always something new & different. The staff are knowledgeable. If they happen to be temporarily out of something, they will special order for you (a lost service at most places!) Also, it is one of the few places that takes Covid precautions seriously with plenty of hand sanitizer & watching the numbers in the store. Mystic Valley is my favorite metaphysical store ever and I've been to stores all over the country. I deeply miss this place now that I no longer have access to it since moving back to Southern California. Oh and it's also a CAFE! I have never seen such an extensive collection of everything-- candles, herbs, oils, tons of books, art, chars, jewelry, crystals, tarot cards, oracle decks, statues, incense-- literally the whole store is gorgeously filled. You can (and I have) spend hours in here! In my opinion, everything is fairly and moderately priced too. All of the employees I've interacted with have been sweet as pie and so incredibly helpful. You can immediately tell they "walk the walk." I've had smoothies and coffee at the cafe, both which have been delicious. I think the iced dirty chai was one of the best I've ever had. I've had a few readings here as well. Julia is an excellent reader and so knowledgable. I know she teaches classes here as well. The store offers countless classes and community events. I purchased my first tarot deck here and it's just a really special place in my heart! I visit every single time I am back in town. read more

I was visiting STL, and searched for stores on yelp like this, and I decided to check this out based on the reviews. This is one of the best metaphysical stores I have been in. Mystic Valley had a nice selection of jewelry, books, crystals, cards, and more! I was very impressed with the variety of what they offered. I walked out with a book on ayahuasca, new oracle deck for my wife, and a few pieces of jewelry. If you are into this kind of stuff (and you should be;)) you will not be disappointed. On top of their selection, I found their staff to be knowledgable and helpful. I was bummed I didn't get a chance to stop in again before I left. The time I went in, I had my 2 year old son, and he was all over the place so I really didn't get a lot of time to browse without having to make sure he didn't knock over everything. I like to visit different Metaphysical stores for different things. I decided to visit Mystic Valley because I was attending an event in the area and I just so happened to need some candles. I've been to this store before. Once for a card reading, although now that I think about it - the woman who did my reading never followed up with me, like she said she would. Oh well! That was quite a few years ago anyway. . . I visited the store another time during the holiday season, but I couldn't find exactly what I was looking for so I left without making a purchase. However, my most recent visit was overall the best! I was very impressed by their candle selection and I loved that they also had spells with them! Made my life a heck of a lot easier. The pricing was pretty decent as well. I was very happy with my selections. While I was standing at the checkout line, I observed the setup of the store. It had been a while. They had a section on one side for books which looked very tidy and then in the back there appeared to be a little diner! Which I thought was pretty cool! Even though no one was over there. The ladies who helped me at the register seemed pretty nice too. They smiled and sent me on my merry way! I've been in this shop a couple of times since they participate in Maplewood tasting tours. Definitely not a place you would think of having food but they have a small coffee bar in the back. We had cannolis here during the Sweet Tooth Tour today that we tasty which they paired with a frappe which I admit I wasn't expecting much and it was pretty good. The store itself is like an eclectic spiritual store. It was a little cluttered and felt a little overwhelming to me. It reminded me of some of the eclectic local shops in my college town. This is probably a good place to buy oils and incense it looks like. I wouldn't mind coming back by when there aren't as many people. read more

I've been wanting to go to mystic valley for the longest time. I would drive by and think it looked so cool and like something I'd really like. So I finally made it in to visit. For sure there was so much to look at and I wanted to look at everything. They had fortune tellers stationed around the store and I felt bad because I didn't want them to feel like I was invading their privacy when I was looking at something close by. I ended up buying two t shirts. They had some pretty cool clothes out on display but I was really hoping the clothes section would have a bigger presents in the store with more of a variety. But it was super cool and I recommend stopping by to anyone and everyone. It was a positive experience and everyone who worked here was super nice. read more
