Hearth has amazing food and the chef and owner are extremely passionate about the food they create. Every course from the tasting menu was great 5/5 but the dessert could have been better My only gripe was that even after the meal we were hungry - maybe being men were eat more but I think it was because there was no bread and the quantity of food was very less - I don't think we could have requested second but definitely something to work on. If one is not full after a tasting menu then it's not cool

We came to Hearth for my birthday while visiting Amsterdam, and it was INCREDIBLE. This restaurant is classy yet comfortable and has an extensive vegan menu. They had live music while we were dining, which was a treat! The service was amazing and everyone went above and beyond. Each and every dish we had was better than the last. I recommend ordering an assortment to share, as you don't want to miss out on anything! I cannot recommend Hearth enough. I hope we are able to come and visit again in the future!

Minimalist and warmly decorated vegan restaurant, with cute seating next to a little fireplace. The "audio bar" bit is quirky, with a "DJ" picking seemingly random tunes- but I vibed with the atmosphere and enjoyed it a lot. Really nice ambiance for hiding from the January weather. Good for friend dates or romantic dates :) We made a reservation for a Saturday night. The service was fantastic; Marco was super friendly and attentive, and he made sure we had our waters refilled. I love restaurants that offer the tap water option up front over forcing their customers to pay for bottles of water. Marco helped us with our wine choices. We ended up ordering a bottle of natural orange wine and it was perfect. Not too sour nor sweet, and perfect for our palates. We did family style for everything we ordered. The food was inconsistent. While visually stunning, the Mexican-style vegan sushi roll was strange and texturally unpleasant. Also seemed lacking in flavor, and we all wished had put some hot sauce in our bag (shoutout, Beyoncé). The gnocchi was doughy and not pillowy or light, though the sauce it came with was okay. The ravioli was a step up- sort of Asian-inspired with furikake on the side. I wished for more flavor for both of these items. The linguine though, was excellent. In fact, it was so good that we put in a second order! It felt decadent to have creamy pasta that didn't have dairy in it. We ordered two desserts to share for the group: the semifreddo and the tiramisu. The semifreddo came in four tiny bites and it was delightful, creamy, melt-in-your mouth goodness. Texturally delightful! The tiramisu cream topping was really good but the lady finger part was disappointing- crumbly, pasty, and tasteless. Very mixed bag in terms of the food, but overall such a delightful experience with the service and ambiance that I'll definitely pay them another visit. Hope they can work on their flavors and textures!

Incredible food, beautiful presentation, and very friendly staff. I wish I were staying in Amsterdam for longer so I could come back!

Everything is vegan and delicious. Both the cuisine and decor is very modern. It was designed in such a way for you to really feel an intimacy with food--which I believe is how food should be. All the dishes posted above are worth trying. Found a special love for the variants of mayo, which doesn't feel or taste what the word "mayo" traditionally represents; light, airy and delicious. Try out the cocktails because the mixologist really brings it. Constant strive for better and more creative drinks.

It was such a great experience. Staff was super friendly. We weren't that hungry so we ordered bread and olives and main course. They surprised us with some amused bouches while waiting and they were amazing. I ordered the broccoli gnocchi. Loved it! The place was warm and cozy and it had a stylish ambiance, I liked it. I absolutely recommend this place to everyone and I hope to come to come again and try more different dishes.

Fantastic. Came here for our last dinner in Amsterdam before leaving and definitely wasn't dissapointed. I got the alux sour to start and it was delicious. Then, I got the charcoal ravioli for my main (good umami flavor) and the tiramisu for the desert (good quality dark chocolate and strong coffee flavor). My family tried the sushi, the broccoli gnocchi (big fan), and the falafel waffle. They also tried the two other desserts and between them the vegan cheesecake was the winner but all around we walked out satisfied. The only minor complaint was that the portions were a little small.

Unique and delicious vegan foods. The pasta dish was creamy with almonds sauce, no vegetables. The Mexican inspired sushi was tasty. The zucchini salad was filled spelt and delicious. Will come back again.

Wonderful food in this little place that you could do easily miss. The only sign that it was even there was a little sign that you stumble over in the market. I was hangry and needed food in my belly so off we went to stop the belly growling. The place looks very bohemian and hippyish. What with my drink coming with a wooden straw, tie dye shirts available to buy etc... The food I can not fault. My sushi was some of the best veggie sushi I've had on three continents. Yes I travel and love veggie sushi. However the prices are very vegan too. I don't know why vegan places charge a premium for not serving meat, but they usually do. And thus this otherwise five star place loses a star.

I'm super picky and a tiny bit of a snob when it comes to my vegan food. Hearth exceeded all of my expectations!! Sooo yummy and flavorful, it just "hits". It's both packed with nutrients and veggies so the food is healthy, but also takes like comfort food. I would especially recommend coming here a lil high if you're also trying out some of the weed while in Amsterdam because the food blew my mind both sober and high. The workers were also very nice and they had some cool music playing.

What an amazing little spot in the middle of a busy road. The staff is very friendly and kind . The vegan options are really a nice variation of soup, sushi, pastas, desI really recommend it because of the Creativity of the tropical deco combinaded with the second hand stuff and the travel gadgets. The owners are travellers as well and took lots of their inspiration from abroad. It would fit very well just on the beach. I just went on a mini trip to Amsterdam as it is very cosy and relaxing to get there by car. The only difficulty is a close by parking spot, but i got lucky 2 blocks away. Sometimes not having expectations is the best thing to have the best time and food by just looking randomly on yelp.

Don't hesitate. Go here, immediately! We had the chicken and chips and the roti wrap. Both were absolutely delicious!

The broccoli gnocchi with a sun dried tomato sauce was very creamy and also evoked some subtle savory notes.

Fast forward a few years and now I'm delighted to accompany them to vegan restaurants such as Meatless District in Amsterdam, NL. The food was exquisite as was the service. I'm now obsessed with watermelon sashimi. I prefer this vegan bitterballen to the traditional because I didn't like the texture of the meat inside. I feel the dutch really like pureed meat. The mushroom bitterballen was so delicious as was everything else. The braised artichoke was just ok. Nothing to write home about but nothing wrong with it. It's just that everything else was so unique including the desserts. Lovely ambiance in the restaurant. I give my experience a 4 overall for the artichoke and I must mention the bathroom. This is more of a Dutch thing than anything else. Gender neutral bathrooms are cool. We Americans don't see that a lot. The problem is the individual stall was up a flight of stairs and so small that I couldn't even sit on the toilet and then there was nothing to pull myself up to get out the position I had gotten myself into. It was awkward. This stall needs a bar or something to help those of us who are not as able as we used to be. I'd go eat here again to try more of their dishes.

Staff don't bother to find tables for you; they let customers figure things out among themselves. Alright. We eventually grabbed a table after 5-10 minutes, then had our order taken 10 minutes later. The food took a long time to come out: about 40 minutes (other than 1 appy that came out after 20). Good thing it was tasty. We got: -plantain fries (€6) -- tasty, especially with the sweet dipping sauce, but you get about 8 fries, so not great value. -okonomiyaki (€12.90) -- this was wonderful. So many lovely textures, flavours, and seasoned beautifully. This was the highlight of the meal for me. -vegan plate (€18.90) -- really nicely designed plate, with a base of brown rice, with a sort of Japanese slaw, vegan chicken katsu, tempura (apparently, though I didn't notice it), and stir fried veggies. Super tasty stuff. Not the biggest portion, but not bad either. My friends each got the crispy roti wrap (€14.90), which they loved, and the taste I had was great. Overall, great food, not the best dining experience. Perhaps my experience wasn't representative. I'd go back for the okonomiyaki alone.
