I get the gimmick of "our door is so unhealthy you may as well put your hospital gown on at the door." I'll even play along with the IV bags for cocktails. The menu is...limited. We can play up the unhealthy American trope and offer more than a sloppy burger and a hot dog. But okay- we were there and I just let myself be in the moment. There is nothing on the menu that is a normal portion. They don't offer any sugar free sodas (which I get is part of their whole unhealthy thing) but there are real reasons why people might want a carbonated drink and not have it be filled with sugar. We also grabbed some mozzarella sticks, which were delicious but made finishing the burger even tougher. On top of that all, for roughly $1 we got 10 strips of bacon added to our burgers! Honestly one of the highlights of my Vegas trip!! I've been wanting to go here ever since I saw it on TV and it did not disappoint! Immediately upon entering, the "nurses" give you a run down of the rules, which are 1) cash only and 2) most importantly if you don't finish your food you get whipped 3x. They do have an ATM machine on site if you need to get cash which is nice. After giving you the run down you're led around the corner to put on your hospital gown. The menu is pretty straightforward with not that many options to choose from. I got the single bypass and my boyfriend got the double bypass, both with bacon and a side of flatliner fries. Funny enough, they only serve alcoholic and full sugar beverages. Everything comes in disposable packaging for easy clean up. The service is a bit slow, we waited about 15-20 minutes for our food to come out, but the time easily passes with the entertainment of other guests getting whipped!! Fair warning, these girls have an arm on them. They have you stand in this handle bar station to hold on while you're being whipped! The whip is no joke! When our food came, everything was pretty tasty. The burger is well done, but the raw onions and tomato's give it a fresher touch. Ketchup, mustard, and mayo are available at the table or upon request. The chili is pretty minimal, it's about a couple of spoonfuls, and I was actually missing 1 piece of bacon (should have been 5), but overall really can't complain. For the price I don't think you can beat the value of the entertainment this place provides. Our waiter was always super sweet and attentive. Overall, 10/10!! Before you walk inside the Heart Attack Grill they have a scale outside so you can weigh yourself and your friends before your meal, which is a fun little thing to do and compare with your company. As soon as you walk inside they put you in a hospital gown which is pretty funny and seat you to your table. The servers and staff are friendly and helpful with any menu questions. The waitress with glasses repeatedly hovered at my table and continued talking even after I made it clear I wanted to be left alone. Honestly, who hasn't heard of Heart Attack Grill? When it first opened it was all over the place. Mostly you hear about it now on one of those outrageous food shows. One that points out how much food you can eat in a single sitting. Note to self, come in here knowing exactly how much you are going to eat. Much like any restaurant, there is a gimmick here that draws you in. Mostly, if you are on the outside hesitating on whether to come in it is the bright red neon that states if you are over 350 lbs. you eat for free. Most people see that, what I saw was the smaller, bright red neon sign under it that stated, 'OPEN get your fat ass in here.' Once inside you are told the rules of the restaurant, enter through a turnstile, and are ushered into a waiting room. A lot of their gimmick here is that they rely on the 'heart attack' portion of the name. You are made to think that you are in a hospital. In the waiting room area you don a hospital gown, if you don't want to, you are shown the door. While being tied up in your gown you also get to enjoy a show on the screen. When your party is all set you are escorted to your table and your 'nurse' comes by and gives a rundown of the rules once again. See they are all about the rules here. Those rules are that you eat what your order or you will be punished and publicly humiliated. Yes, that's right, you will be paddled in front of the whole restaurant if you do not finish your burger (sides don't count, at least that is what we were told). The patties are half pound and huge. Topping can be customized, but I went with how it is made. Cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, chili. I also ended up getting a side of chili cheese fries. I made sure to tackle the burger first. Not too shabby, nothing to rave about, but it definitely was filling. Just to be sure, I made quick work of the side of chili cheese fries as being paddled in public is not my thing. While you eat you are entertained by in house music videos made by the staff that work within. It comes off as a bit corny, but honestly it did keep your mind involved with the experience. The hostess/server explained the policies, including payment. It's cash only and the servers don't carry change. Despite going to the counter to process payment, they won't bring back coins. Since our total was $12.30, we paid with a $20 bill, we received $7 back. This the worst payment policy I've seen, and is another reason Las Vegas is getting a bad reputation for cost and fees. We've eaten here before and didn't care for the required hospital gown and other aspects of their presentation. Oh yeah, the shake... looked like it was soft serve and about 32 oz. After almost five years of walking past the Heart Attack Grill on Fremont Street, the day finally came to experience this place when I could still call myself a local. I came here at around 6PM on Saturday night with my family expecting a wait, but was lucky enough to get our hospital gowns on and seated right away. The imagery here is absolutely insane in the best way possible, the walls are filled with movie posters transformed to be for the restaurant and even includes a giant mural of the owner of Heart Attack Grill at a long table (think the final supper) with the likes of Ronald McDonald, Chuck E. Cheese, KFC's Colonel, the Burger King, and a bunch of the other fast food characters which I was super amused by. The menu here is pretty simple and features mostly burgers, a massive hot dogs, and some sides like french fries and onion rings to go with them. Since I wasn't in the mood to get publicly spanked, I decided to be safe and order the single bypass burger with the additional five strips of bacon for fun, as well as splitting an order of french fries and onion rings with the rest of my table. It took maybe ten minutes for our food to come out, which is super quick, and I was immediately kind of blown away with how good everything looked. Don't get me wrong, this isn't a five star restaurant, but it certainly looked amazing for a burger joint. The food itself? As good as it looked! The worst service ever. We came with our kids, and had an unopened bottle of sparkling water in the stroller. Instead of just letting us in, the staff called the manager to "check." The manager refused to let us enter just because of a bottle of non-alcoholic water. The staff were unfriendly, and the manager was outright rude, telling us "you can go somewhere else."
