I was honestly surprised by some of the reviews. Maybe this place is hit or miss, but our experience was great. We were staying at the Westgate and wanted a hearty breakfast before starting our day. Even though it was pretty busy on a Friday morning, we were seated right away. We ordered an omelet, pancakes, Bailey's coffee, and of course, a mimosa. The pancakes were easily some of the best I've had in a long time, light, fluffy, and absolutely delicious. The omelet was good, and the overall atmosphere was bright, clean, and welcoming. The service was excellent, and we didn't have any complaints. I'd definitely come back the next time I'm in Vegas. read more

Oh my goodness! They have remade the menu again ! This little cafe is located inside the Westin Hotel and Casino! It's a small intimate restaurant that usually has a line to eat at! That line shows it's decently great. The menu here has been updated recently. We have been regularly making this a hot spot for years. Recently we had the chance to eat here again. The food is just amazing. The service is stellar. They serve all sorts of different styles of food and various styles of eating habits. I had a business brunch meeting in their private room... very handy location for this purpose. It was plenty quiet, easy to discuss our business - food and service was on point. I had the breakfast sandwich, added avocado, egg was over medium. Good sandwich! It was plenty for me. The coffee was readily available in insulated pitchers on the table... I liked this option since we had plenty and weren't interrupted by someone coming by every few minutes asking if we wanted more coffee. Worked well for the business meeting situation. Entering this restaurant was fun to see the statue and celebration towards Elvis Presley, once you get to the restaurant which is beautiful and take you back to the Belle Epoue in 1920 you can sit at tables or booths which are so nice. The other 3 restaurants in the Westgate were closed on a Tuesday at 11am so this was our best option. Service was slow because there were a lot of customers and I don't think they had enough staff. Despite the stress, everyone was still courteous and friendly - and they work d hard to help as much as possible. There were very many great options. The only two items that was appetizing by to me was the avocado toast and the Sid's breakfast. Sid's was also a very immaculate establishment with a breakfast menu to suit your traditional choices and, of course, they offer coffee and tea. My husband enjoyed their breakfast burrito as I chowed on a Sid's breakfast platter which included eggs, sausage and potatoes. 'Lori, thank you for allowing me to swap the hashbrown for a side of fingerling potatoes. It really made a difference.' They're located right off the gaming floor so it isn't hard to find. No scent of cigarette smoke in there either. It was quiet as well where we were seated (which was closer toward the kitchen). Sid's Cafe is located inside the Westgate hotel in Las Vegas. It was very convenient to go downstairs for some breakfast. I must say, the visit didn't start off too great. There was a party of 2 ahead of us and they got seated in a booth which was clearly meant for bigger parties. It felt like a waste of booth space since there were plenty of tables to accommodate 2 people available. This increased the wait time for an additional table to be available to fit our party size of 5. That was the only negative thing I can say about the experience. We got seated and immediately got some drink orders in. The coffee was fresh and so was the food. My toddler loved my bacon so much, I had to get an additional order so he could steal that too. I had scrambled eggs, hash browns, sourdough bread, and about two bites of the aforementioned bacon. The food was delicious and it tasted freshly made. The service was great. There was someone constantly roaming around the table either asking if we needed anything else or asking if they could remove some of the empty plates. The ambiance was relatively quiet for it being inside a Vegas Casino. The location is far away enough from the action that you don't get any of the unwanted cigarette smell or the loud noises from the slot machines which was nice. Sometimes you just want a reset from Vegas rush and this restaurant was it. Overall, if you're staying at the Westgate or if you're looking for a good place to have a nice breakfast or brunch, this is definitely a place worth looking into. read more

It's been several years since I have been to this cafe and I have noticed a lot has changed over the years. I got something that I could eat for lunch and dinner since I had to fly back home in about four hours. I ordered the Slow-Roasted Turkey Club sandwich with fries since I knew it was going to be okay to eat the other half later. We all know that most of the food portions that you get at restaurants in Vegas are pretty big and I hate wasting food. This was perfect. It was my lunch and dinner for that day. They had a RW menu that I chose from--French onion soup, turkey cliub, and strawberry ice cream. It ook a while for the onion soup becasue they evidently were baking/broiling the top to melt the cheese. There was a lot of bread at the top of the small crock¸--more than would be with most onion soups. The turley club was well done. Plenty of turlet and lots of bacon along with lettuce and tomato. Served with fries, it made a café style late lunch/dinner for me. Your choice of ice cream for dessert was the RW menu choice. The staff was quite good with my iced tea being refilled without having to ask. Except for the wait for the soup, service was quick and friendly. Stayed at the Westgate Hotel Thursday night so had breakfast Friday morning in Sid's Cafe. The staff are warm and welcoming. The breakfast menu, however, is very limited. The coffee is not made with Arrabica beans. (My stomach knows.) My husband very much liked his Stuffed French Toast. I wish I had ordered what I wanted to order (Oatmeal) but for some reason I decided to order the Cinnamon Roll Pancakes. They were way too sweet. I couldn't eat them, so ended up paying for a second breakfast item, a toasted bagel with cream cheese. Not only were the three large pancakes overly sweet with cinnamon roll and chopped walnuts, there were HUGE globs of soft butter between two layers of pancakes. I'm talking fist-sized globs of butter. Not one but two of them! Between the sugar and the fat, anyone who eats the entire three pancakes will probably need to get their arteries unclogged. read more

Was nervous with the reviews, and coming here, a few days after the rodeo ended, Tuesday in December.... it wasn't bad. Breakfast took a bit, but waiters were all friendly, came back multiple times and gave a good recommendation on the pancakes. Bacon wasn't worth $9, but pancakes with chocolate chips were HEARTY. If you have the time (or food credit) it was fine. Would almost rather pay that price for the Peppermill which is a 3 min drive away. But I appreciate the staff for the one visit! read more

Sad, was looking forward to eating a meal at Sid's Cafe before the Barry Manilow show. Was planning on eating around 5:30 pm. Asked a member of the hotel staff for directions to the establishment found out that Sid's closed at 2PM. I thought this was unacceptable I would think management would know what is being advertised on Yelp. There are not many breakfast options at Westgate - it's basically Sid's or a walk-up cafe that has a line out into the hallway - and because it's a $$ taxi/Uber ride away from other options and too hot to walk (105+), we landed here on a couple of mornings during our stay for a competition at the hotel. The restaurant is clean and beautiful and the staff was very kind. The prices are extremely high. I understand that it's Vegas, but it left a bitter taste in our mouths when it cost around $80 for 2 drip coffees, toast, oatmeal, and a croissant for our family of 4. The food was fine, nothing outstanding, and certainly not worth the prices being charged for such a simple breakfast. read more

The meat was dry and it seemed like it was just microwaved pieces because the tips of the meat were showing signs of being over cooked since it was slightly discolored and a little more hard. Even the dip didn't help. The tots upon arrival looked promising, but again the meat was sparse, and also seemed like it was just microwaved. This review is based on two visits. The first visit was a "sandwich" meal. The server was really attentive and friendly. The French Dip was good, ordinary, but tasted as expected. It came with a good portion of thinly sliced prime rib and some onions and au jus. I asked for crisp fries and overall it was good. Also ordered was a Nashville Hot Chicken Sandwich which looks intimidating. It tastes better than it looks. The chicken is heavily breaded and coated in a Nashville hot sauce and it does have quite a bit of a kick. There seems to be more coating/breading than chicken at times. It's a big portion and definitely shareable. The second visit was for dinner and there is a 3 course meal that includes salad or soup, a choice between three entrees (chose the prime rib) and cheesecake for dessert. The prime rib pictured is medium rare and with a loaded baked potato. The prime rib tasted as expected. The sirloin steak was ordered as an in between medium rare and medium. The spread on top of the steak gave it some good flavor as well. The potato wedges served with the steak was different - interesting but alright. It had some sliced chiles and a spicy sauce. The service on the second visit missed the mark a bit though. The salad was served before any drinks even came and I had to find the beverage person to even get it. Then, no refills either. Headed here before a convention, and are now planning a second breakfast for tomorrow! The serving staff were all so sweet and informative to all of our questions. They even brought the chef out to answer our question about the two types of maple syrup they have (the one with the meal is something you'd get from a store with added sugars whereas the Vermont syrup for $5 extra is straight from the tree with no additives). Ambiance is bright and clean with soft music in the background. The food is amazing. Avocado toast was well-balanced in flavor and as creamy as velvet. The sesame seeds in the toast offered the perfect pow of flavor in each bite. The crème brûlée French toast - needs someone to write an opera for it. You don't need the butter and syrup that comes with it. The custard cream will take care of you and wrap you in a blanket of flavor, while the fruit will dance around your tongue like a maypole. The only honey toast I've had that could compare is in Japan - and this went far above those experiences. Highly recommend this as a stop on your Vegas trip. read more
