We needed a hose bib (tap) replaced in the backyard. All the plumber needed to do was to remove the old one and screw on the new hose bib. The technician made a big show about taking pictures of the existing hose bib and sending it to the manager. The manager's diagnosis was to cut off the metal portion of the pipe and solder on a new one. He claimed that someone had tried to replace the bib earlier. Charges were going to be a whopping $475!!! It was too much for us and we sent the technician on his way. The manager called back to explain how honest they were. (LOL) Anyhow, to cut a long story short, another plumber came over the next day. He was amazing - unscrewed the hose bib with the right tool and replaced it all within 15 minutes. He did not charge us a penny, saying that the job was too easy!!!!! Dave had to run the snake out almost 40 feet but he cleared the clogged. Very thorough and had us run the washer and other items connected to that line to make sure we were good.
