I rarely give feedback on Yelp, however this is something I must share with everyone. My first experience with this wonderful staff and THE BEST CARE, above & beyond anything I could imagine. It took me a lot to put my pride aside and face the fact I can't hear and need double ear pieces, regardless of how others would see me as an old lady or weak. My first experience was awesome & Frighteningly exciting, I was now hearing EVERYTHING !! So many noises would startle me to death. Other than I can finally hear, never been so welcomed by Dr's and staff such as these wonderful ladies have always done. I Feel really special and always receive best personalized interactions when going to this office !!!!! I can promise & tell you this. After 3- 4 years of going there, they know me by name and I leave feeling so happy to be treated with care,respect & educated on how to use & maintain my buds. I've been coming here for my hearing test for the last 4 or 5 years and this week I was scheduled to come do another hearing test. My doctor told me about making an acrylic mold for my hearing soda so they'd be less uncomfortable or ticklish in my ears. They made another appointment for me to come back and to bring my hearing aids so I did today and I came early but when I asked them where my hearing aids the girl named Abby or something told me it was being cleaned and the wire on my hearing aids were replaced and so I asked to see my hearing aids and I wanted to speak with the doctor who saw me a couple days ago. But instead of letting me talk to her, they lied that the lady who came after me was here first or her appointment was first and it wasn't first come first serve. So they gave my hearing aids back but it looked different than before so I told them about that. Then lied to me once again and said okay nothing was done to my hearing aids. Then another lady who also worked at the reception desk but more to the left approached and fake apologized on behalf of the office and she was basically trying to get me to shut up and go. She suddenly said she had to contact insurance because the mold the doctor offered to get me suddenly needed to be approved by insurance, another lie. So they made me come all the way here even though my house is far away and I was stuck in traffic and I got here and they all started to lie and give me reasons and tried to blame me for their own miscommunication. read more

I purchased a pair of MFi (Made for iPhone) hearing aids and they work really well for me. Dr Allen (audiologist) is precise with her diagnosis and that helps Estela (hearing-aids specialist) to pick the right hearing aids for me. Follow-up MRI scan and consultation with an ENR doctor (at another unrelated hospital) to find my hearing loss root cause (e.g., infection or deformity) pretty much confirmed Dr Allen's diagnosis and recommendations. read more

Dr. Ito and her staff ignore patients' requests and not follow up properly after visits. The only follow up phone call I got after several weeks of trying to talk to her was a rude phone call about the insurance payment. It was very clear that they only care about money, not the wellbeing of patients. I like other doctors in Hearbright. If you want to use them, go to the other office. read more

I came here after two separate basic hearing tests showed I had significant hearing loss and my Dr. recommended I see a specialist. Let me start by saying the front desk staff are lovely - no complaints there. Firstly, without asking any questions about me, my symptoms or my history the Dr. told me she didn't believe the two tests I'd had done... Not sure how or why she came to that conclusion. Anyway, of course I was happy to have a retest. One of the other staff conducted the first part of the test and was very pleasant, and then the Dr came in, looked at the computer screen and said "you have normal hearing, this test will confirm it." From then on her agenda was clear, and she even paused the test several times to tell me to "push the button" when I couldn't even hear anything! The third time she did it I desperately told her "I can't hear the beeps you're telling me to press it for!" Afterwards, the Dr told me I had normal hearing (and immediately started talking quietly, which I couldn't hear). I asked her if she knew why I am struggling so much day to day and in social situations, she said no. She said I could try an Audio processing evaluation so I asked her if she could recommend a specialist and she said no, I asked her if she knew of anywhere I could have it done in San Jose and she just said no. (How does an audiologist not know about others in the speciality/industry? Especially if she tells her patients to see one?) I left as I knew I wasn't getting any help here. I've been to another audiologist. Several tests later I have a full diagnosis of "substantial hearing loss" and need two hearing aids - so "normal hearing" for a 21 year old, right? Not! I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone, the one star goes out to the polite front desk staff. read more

I cannot believe the customer service I just received. I had no idea what I was missing even though I wore hearing aids. Dr. Ito and her staff were wonderful. I even got a loaner while my new aids are on order. These folks are definitely health care professionals! read more

I really like the professionalism of the Hearbright staff, friendly and helpful. Estella was helpful in getting my Bluetooth device problem resolved. Shes a good trouble-shooter. Dr. Ito made my 1st time seeing an audiologist an easy and educational experience. I lost my hearing in my left ear over 1 year ago. The hearing loss has really affected my quality of life and has affected my work. I am really happy with the hearing aids that were suggested to me. Most people don't know that I am wearing them. This is a great company. Dr. Ito really knows her stuff. She recommended I get hearing enhancers since my hearing has declined a little. Her staff, Maria in particular, was able to contact my insurance company and determine exactly what I was covered for. Since ReSound gave me a direct communication with my iPad, I tried those first. They were OK, but when Dr. Ito suggested Oticon, what a difference! I have always enjoyed music and did not realize how much I was missing with my declining hearing. Estela, Dr. Ito's hearing aid dispenser, was able to program them perfectly. Nancy, Dr. Ito's audiology assistant, was able to do a REM and confirm the gain I was getting from the enhancers. I just had my hearing tested. The place is clean and comfy, and they didn't keep me waiting (I hate waiting at doctors offices). Dr. Ito was professional and nice at the same time. Luckily, I have normal hearing, but I had some ringing in my ears that was bugging me. read more

My personal physician recommended that I have a hearing test after developing a ringing sensation in my left ear. I had my hearing tested about a year ago and the audiologist explained that this would serve as a baseline to see if there was a change. It was a relief to hear that there was no deterioration in my hearing levels and this took a big worry off my mind. The audiologist did recommend the use of a sound machine to mask the ringing sound. I had my doubts, but wanted to give it a try. For me, the sound of rain really works and makes living with the ringing sensation much more manageable. I can't thank the audiologist enough for her recommendation. read more

I'm a new resident in the Evergreen area and still had my audiologist in San Mateo. I lost one of my oticon hearing aids. My SM audiologist wasn't able to see me for several days and advised it would take several days to provide a replacement. I was able to locate Dr. Ito and they scheduled an appointment for me within just a couple of days. From the first phone call through the entire examination/fitting I felt very comfortable. Dr. Ito was very professional as she explained everything to me. I had expected to replace just the one hearing aid and have it programed to work with my other aid. I had expected to pay $4,000 for the replacement because I paid $8,000 for the pair. Dr Ito explained there had been improvements in the past two years and I was able to get a new updated pair of oticons for cost of replacing just one. They provided me with their office discount and I paid just under $4,000 for two new ones with more features. The greatest surprise was the new ones were programed/adjusted and given to me that day. I had a followup appointment one week later and I had the same great experience. All of the staff were great and very professional. read more
