Only offered me one option of hearing aid and as my provider will only pay for a certain amount the rest of the cost would be out of pocket to me She didn't spend a lot of time with me. Hear Again in Vernon - no good...how are they staying in business. I knew I needed hearing aids when I went there. Didn't get a comfortable feeling from the moment I entered. They gave me a hearing test which confirmed my hearing loss. After that, she put their demo hearing aids on me and gave me another test (repeating words) to demonstrate the improvement. I believe their before & after hearing test is a scam and setup to fool that you can hear and understand words clearer with their aids. Then she gave me extremely high co-pay estimate for hearing aids along with service. It was cost prohibited, I don't know who would or could pay such extreme fees. She also gave an estimate for only the aids with no service, which doesn't make sense (would be almost useless), and still at an extremely high out-of-pocket cost. I went to another hearing center in the same town. They were outstanding. For less than half the cost Hear Again was going to charge, I received excellent, friendly and professional service and top of the line hearing aids. No exaggeration, I now have ReSound Linx Quattro 9 (highest technology), with all the warranty, including loss, and multiple follow up visits all included, for less than half the price Hear Again was going to charge. It's horrific that business's like Hear Again Hearing Center are still getting away with taking such advantage of peoples' health issues. Hello - I wanted to express to those considering seeing a Hearing Specialist in Central Connecticut that the Hear Again Center in Vernon is terrific. I am writing this on behalf of my parents Angelo & Carol Gesmundo, and have been to this office with them and seen first-hand how wonderful the service they provide. The staff at Hear Again are excellent at evaluating your current hearing, fitting hearing aids so they are comfortable, and adjusting the volume so that the aids work at their maximum levels. In particular, my parents rave about Allison Blunt, pictured with them below. Allison has a wonderful sense of humor, is smart, thorough, polite, and makes their visits to Hear Again fun! The quality of life of my mom & dad vis a vis their hearing has improved tremendously since they've obtained hearing aids. I've had hearing aids for many years. I am very pleased with everything at Hear Again in Vernon, Connecticut. The receptionist is friendly and hard working. The audiologist is beyond superb. I have been a client for over 25 years and would not go anywhere else. In the beginning, I took advantage of the classes offered to adjust to wearing hearing aids. I have always felt that everyone valued me as a customer, as well as making sure I had the best hearing aids for my situation. My ear doctor also had high praises for the founder, Eileen Davis. All the audiologists take time to explain everything, discuss new advances and help with finances. There are often free hearing tests for new clients so enable them to make recommendations based on individual hearing loss and lifestyle. Prior to visiting the Hear Again Center, I was seeing a private Audiologist for many years... until he retired recently. That audiologist then referred me to the Hear Again Center, making my records available to them. That proved to be an Excellent transition. The staff at the HAC have been amazing! From the reception staff to all of the doctors and particularly Dr. LaBelle and Dr. Gibbons... I have received the best care ever. They were able to customize a program for me where I could afford new high quality hearing aids utilizing current technology. They also helped me get my older aids in working order so that I would have a back-up pair. On my very first visit to the office, I could see the staff continuously following up on patients to ensure that everything was working to their satisfaction. I am more than satisfied with the courtesy and professional service provided by this fine office.
