What resulted was an accumulation of work that needed to be done on my teeth. Dr Kim and her Staff created a plan in March 2023 and had completed all work in May 2023. The work done was awesomely exemplary. Everyone was involved from the Front Admin Desk to the Hygienists to Dr Kim. What an exceptionally nice group of folks. They executed their duties in a professional manner and made me feel comfortable at each visit throughout the long process. What resulted was that I received my smile back! I highly recommend the Skilled Dr Kim and her Quint Essential Staff. These professionals do incredible work no matter how hard the challenge! Many Thanks, Cherie

We had a noon appointment but I showed up late because I thought the appointment was for 12:30 but they were super accommodating and very understanding. The waiting room is super cool with a hot tea coffee section, mini fridge of water, arcade games, a flat screen tv that was playing frozen 2, a shelf full of kids books as well as lots of seating and a kids table for the little ones to read. Lots of polar bears and penguins all throughout the office decorations (and some moose!). The theme of the office I think were walrus, penguin polar bear and moose? Very cute. They even had beanie baby type toys with magnetic hands hanging from above the dental chair area. Melissa the dental hygienist(?) was great with my daughter (she let her pick out her toothpaste flavor and we went with birthday cake) and Dr Dave was great as well. They both took the time to explain everything and were just super pleasant. They asked lots of questions and were very thorough and chill. I was amazed at how well behaved my kid was. She loved her experience and wanted to go back after we left the office. It is so cute how they provide sunglasses instead of the usual eye protection at the dentist. And the tv screen on the ceiling didn't hurt either! We left with a goody bag and they even let my daughter pick out 2 toys because she did so well. They have multiple hanging baskets on the back wall of different types of toys for all ages. It was a fantastic introduction for us on our quest for our new pediatric dentist!

On this most recent visit, Doctor Neuman replaced an older, cracked metal crown with a newer ceramic version. Based on prior experience with a crown replacement with other dentists, I was apprehensive about (and accustomed to) being subjected to lots of time in "the chair," and lots of discomfort, if not outright pain. All I can say about my experience this time is "Wow!" From start to finish, the entire procedure--removing the deficient crown, preparing the tooth to be filled and then having a made-to-match crown permanently affixed--was completed within just two hours. That's right--no temporary crown and come back in two weeks for a permanent. A new ceramic crown was made in-house immediately and fitted. And the entire procedure was pain-free. I can't praise Doctor Neuman's skill enough--she is a terrific person with whom to trust one's dental healthcare! And to a person, her staff is equally, and uniquely, just like her: professional, kind, and caring. My wife and I both see her because of all of these qualities. In my opinion, this practice sets the benchmark which all other providers should strive to equal. Thanks, Doctor Neuman! Mike B. (CMSgt, USAF, Retired)

Three years ago Dr. Mark Wainright had recemented tooth 31 and in 2019 remade a crown for tooth 4.  Since I had had problems with both these teeth, I asked if I could have a price break for the upcoming work. I had done a Google search on crowns and was told they should last 3-5 years.  The crown on tooth 4 was a total waste of my money since it did not close the gap between my 3 & 4 teeth as I was told it would do.  Therefore I believed I had a legitimate cause to ask for a price break. I was seeing Dr. Matthew Wassel since Dr. Wainright had a long wait schedule. Instead of being willing to do my work, I was told that not only could they not recement tooth 31, but that I would also need a whole new crown due to some problem that did not make any sense to me.  The crown on 31 did not have a problem before and it was recemented.  I thought this was absurd and told them so.   For tooth 5, I was told I needed to have an X-ray.  When I said they had just done X-rays five months ago, I was then told they would need  pictures.  I disagreed with both and PLAINLY stated I was not paying for either.  I was then told they would need pictures and I agreed with the stipulation that it would be FREE!  I saw no need for pictures for the evaluation.  I had a mirror if I wanted to see the tooth and pictures were of no use to the dental office for evaluation purposes. I was then told they could place tooth 31, but with only temporary cement.  I told them this idea was insane.   Why would I want the tooth cemented on temporarily to then have to go to another dentist office and have them remove the crown to do it permanently? I left the office and went to see Dr. Christopher Powell later the same day, May 8, 2024 and he recemented the tooth permanently with no questions. There is probably the question as to why I did not complain about the crown on tooth 4 back when it happened?  Tooth 4 is a dental implant.  Doing more work on it could create even more problems.  I was trying to bend over backwards to be a "Nice Guy" in hopes I could stay in good relations with the dentist. My complaints to the dental board are: 1. Dr. Wainright told me he could close the gap between teeth 3 & 4 with a new crown and it did not. 2. Dr. Wassel refused to hear me, billing me for photos that were totally useless. 3. Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues and instead tried to cover it up by stating that tooth 31 had a problem and needed to be remade. 4.  Dr. Wassel refused to hear my issues, refused to consider my complaints and instead penalized me with two behavior management charges.

I am hopeful that this was a rare occurrence for Galigan Family Dentistry but I am so upset by…read moretheir treatment that I feel compelled to write a review for the first time in my life. Five years ago I was a college student who had veneers done by them. They were a couple thousand dollars which I didn't have but I took out a credit card and paid them off. On average veneers are supposed to last 10 years. This past weekend one of those veneers popped off. I called a few emergency dentist Saturday who told me their office policy was that they would fix them if it was within 10 years so I should wait until the place that did them Opened. This morning I called Galigan and told them what happened. The office manager found my information and said she would get me in but wasn't sure what to file the appt under so she was going to ask the dentist and call me back. I'm a school teacher so I waited until my students went to lunch and called back since I never received a call back. The office manager then told me I hadn't seen them in five years and they couldn't help me. I explained I moved which is why I see a new dentist but she didn't seem to care. She then informed me that I was "dismissed" as a patient in 2013 and they would not see me if I wanted to pay or not. She refused to tell me what I had done to be "dismissed" and said the dentist felt I'd be a better fit for a different practice. So here I am hysterical crying, missing a tooth and feeling like some kind of criminal and receiving zero empathy from this office. I asked if there was someone else I could speak to and she told me no and there was nothing else she could tell me. When I pleaded that these veneers were expected to last a long time she stated "nothing last forever". Maybe they had no legal obligation to fix their work that did not hold up but the total lack of sympathy for a young school teacher in tears at Work missing a tooth was heart breaking. I can honestly say I've never been treated so poorly by any establishment. Fortunately I found a dentist with humanity, who showed the empathy and understanding Galigan lacked. They stayed after hours to help me and fixed a mistake they did not make. I prefer a dentist with some warmth so I will be sure to write this dentist an amazing review after this one! The real kicker is it took 15 minutes to fix. Galigan felt I was not worth 15 minutes of their time. If that is how they treat former patients I don't wish to be a current one.
