We called one company that said "Good luck with that". We then we called The Carpet Company and they said they would do the best they could without any false promises. Well, the best thing they did was send out Zack our technician. Zack was understanding from the start having kids of his own. He was courteous. Did a bunch of internet research on the various methods .. no res, hot water extraction, encapsulation... then a search of Groupon for carpet cleaning deals in the Cumming area. That's how I found CleanR Carpet For Less (also known as Clene apparently) . The Groupon offer of 800 sf for $89 looked good but there was a caveat that they wouldn't go beyond 25 miles of their location on Kelly Mill near the Etowah River. I called and no problem as I'm near the Dawsonville Outlet Mall. First thing I noticed was how professional the young lady who answered the phone was. She was friendly, articulate and genuinely happy to have my business, Groupon and all, and set me up with an appointment Monday morning (I called Friday afternoon) Sunday evening we got all the small furniture out of the rooms to make it easy. The appointment was for 11 am but the technician, equally professional, showed up early and went straight to work measuring the rooms - told me up front what the additional square footage would cost (30 cents/sf) and the stairs ($45) then went around with a urine detector and found a few "accident" spots courtesy of our new puppy. While I went to lunch for an hour he did his thing and when I got back he was packing up and the carpet looked great. It was still damp but he told me I could walk on it with clean feet. 6 hours later it is dry and furniture back in place (he moved the big pieces that he could). Overall a positive experience, only a short interruption to my work-from-home day and clean carpet for $200.. Well, with 4 animals around it will be for a little while anyway.

I asked some more questions (also through Yelp) and was able to get all my questions answered promptly - and this was post business hours. Communication/Promptness = +1 Scheduling service online was a breeze. Even mentioned Yelp to get free deodorizing. Ease of Scheduling = +1 On day of service, I received 2 calls - one to let me know the technician was on the way, and the second when the technician was almost at my residence. Keeping me updated = +1 I explained what work I needed, and asked for some prices of additional items I was considering. Once I had decided on what I wanted cleaned, the technician got to work. He explained what he was doing, gave me some tips on keeping my rugs and carpets cleaned. Pricing = +1 (very reasonable, check online for average prices) I had my couch, dining chairs, three area rugs and bar chairs cleaned. Took the technician about a hour and a half and I didn't ever feel like he was rushing or doing a shoddy job. In the end I was happy with the outcome! Plus the free watermelon deodorizer.... Final Result = +1 (very happy) The process is simple - steam clean :) For larger areas they need a supply of water. Since I had rugs and chairs on two levels of my house, I was initially concerned, but they have an extra large hose in their truck, which can accommodate multiple level houses (2 in my case). I will definitely be using them when I need my rugs or carpet steam cleaned again. P.S. While I didn't use these services, they do spot cleaning treatments and help with pet odor removal too!

So my husband stayed upstairs and told the guys who came that we would move things around as needed. They never once asked him to move anything so he guessed that they may have gone out of there way to be helpful. Instead, they didn't move anything. So the key areas we needed them to clean aka under cribs, they did not clean. So we may have to have someone else come out or try and do it ourselves.
