To start with, Dr. Lehnert was very knowledgeable about runners and what I was experiencing. I felt very confident in his work. While my experience with Dr. Lehnert was very pleasant and he diagnosed the problem - my experience with getting the bill ruined it all. Dr. Lehnert wanted to check the tissue or blood vessels or something on the spot - so he grabbed a little dinky ultrasound machine to look at my ankle for less than 30 seconds. That ultrasound was billed to me at $375. When that didn't show any problems, he recommended I get an MRI. I was fairly concerned about the cost and asked the staff how much it would cost, knowing that if it was very expensive I would go somewhere else and not to where they recommended me. I was told by Dr. Lehnert's assistant "no more than a few hundred dollars." That puppy was billed to me well over $1,100, with my insurance reducing my out-of-pocket liability to around $670. In the end my total bill was over ONE THOUSAND DOLLARS. Next time I will be more aggressive when asking for prices on procedures, as I am the one paying the bill, not some uninterested assistant. Super disappointing for a positive enough experience with Dr. Lehnert.

Doesn't seem to jump on the surgery bandwagon which is appreciated. Felt the orthotics were expensive, but don't have another place to compare them with.

I sincerely think my visit with him did nothing for me but prolong and downplay my pain. All this has lead me to write this extensive review to share my experience, as I do not want anyone to suffer longer than they should. I saw Dr. Fang for plantar fascitis concerns which had persisted for months and were getting worse. His treatment involved showing me HOW TO STRETCH and to purchase OTC insoles from him. The only relief he could offer were these insoles, but after reading the other reviews about him pushing overpriced items, I decided to purchase them elsewhere. He asked me about my pain levels, which I said were 8/10. He said I was not in enough pain to get steroid injections. I thought to myself 8/10 being no thang was crazy, but trusted the specialist. Here I am a couple months later, with more pain that my daily life is being impacted. For example, I consider a trip to Costco as risky, depending on my foot. I walked away from Dr. Fang'a office feeling like he didnt really take the time, so naturally, I got a second opinion from another specialist. From what my PCP and 2nd opinion said, there was no reason why Dr. Fang shouldn't have given me some tangible relief via injections, especially at my level of pain. Initially I was confused how Dr. Fang thought 8/10 was manageable, or normal, and was upset with myself for believing my pain wasn't "that bad." Does it have to be so bad that I can't walk? Perhaps he thought I was embellishing? My 2nd opinion was surprised to hear my PF was still ongoing, and suspected a bone spur formation which would require Xrays to confirm. My current doctor also offered steroid injections and an anti inflammatory medication, as he noticed ample swelling in my heel. Dr. Fang did absolutely NONE of these things. I feel pretty let down that he didnt even recommend an Xray to further investigate my condition. If I had gone to someone else initially, I wouldn't have lost all that time, and whilst in pain.
